One of my all-time favorite songs Kano - I'm Ready. My kids knew it well, along with Hardcastle - Rainforest. Of note this song came out in 1980, but we have here The New Dance Show rocking it 11 years later. So great to hear this song along with the great performances, plus I picked up a couple of new dance moves.
I mean u are spot on partner this is maybe the greatest dance record ever made, and your right about rainforest too, both original then rainforest 99, I’m so glad there are some like minded people in this world who haven’t forgotten…..
I really enjoy this show because the dance show concept and music are from my era of time. I am currently in my early 50's and enjoyed this music in my late teens and early twenties. You keep showing 1991 in the lower right hand corner of the screen but most of this music is from the late 70's to the early 80's. I know because I live thru this time frame. Never the less, keep the shows coming. I love them!
The New Dance Show didn't care when a track was released. They played music from 70's 80's and 90's. The date stamped on the clip is the correct date in which it was taped.
+Caprice87 Thanks for replying! I'd love to see some footage with Jesse then. As I said I love these clips, the music and the atmosphere are just awesome. There doesn't seem to be anything else quite like the new dance show. I'm from the Netherlands myself, and I got into clubbing and raves in the 90s, but these clips illustrate to me how much of the European house scene was a watered down, white version of what was going on in Detroit. I had no idea at the time.
Why do all the NDS videos have the actual song being played on the show, but the Scene videos have substituted the same songs with some other music? NDS got different permissions or what? It would be cool to hear the actual songs on the Scene video's just like it is for NDS 🤷🏾♂️
Whomever is posting the videos from The Scene is trying to make a profit which is why they use different music. My channel is not monetized that's why you hear the original tracks being played.
These people from their era knew how to act like adults plus dance then they had a great x100 time making the young people of today look like bozos x zero
On the one for '91...I was 17y....I'm getting downnnnn right now 👏🏼
Fricken awesome man. Love this show

If I were there! I'd be the only Mexican dude there. But I'd be one happy lucky Mexican dude freakin' & jackin' with Ms. Hot Thang @ 5:10! She so fly!
I love these clips of the new dance show. I suppose the DJ mixes were prerecorded, as I never see any DJ mixing on the show?
The DJ was live next to the director. Jesse would do interviews on special occasion. He only wanted to be heard and not seen.
