My fam came from BK, NYC by way of Puerto Rico and we used to get down to this at my uncle's apartment in Red Bank New Jersey. It was dope then and still dope this day!

I had a friend, Bettina, and her and I had a piece of cardboard, her huge boombox, and we went to all the local breakdance contests, we would lay our cardboard everywhere we went, do windmills and spins and pop locks, and it was the one thing that helped me through those really tough years. The 80's memories stir strange feelings for me, but this reminds me of what was good back then. I wish kids did this these days instead of ipads, lol ☺️ im so happy to have found this. 🌎

They were very popular in the UK among youngsters in the know about these fantastic tunes coming out of NYC. While others were into Duran Duran and Wham!, we were into Newcleus, Bambaataa, Davy DMX, Run DMC, etc.
