This is why I liked The New Dance Show better than Soul Train in the 90's, the extended mixes, and just the type of music played on TNDS, compared to ST. It had more of an urban feel, this show was certainly more street, not ghetto, than ST, but with just as much class...
@@cdshawn i agree, a ghetto expression ..it took my city (London) by surprise...black America took took over and created Acid house anarchy for 4 years straight..like a revolution, powerful
Had The Scene and NDS been nationally syndicated, they truly would've been the biggest competitors that Soul Train had. I wish ST got this loose sometimes --- could've co-existed in both worlds and it would've been magical.
@Shawn C.T I agree with you, as much as I love Soul Train I honestly like The New Dance Show a lot more mainly because it was a live dj and it was local.
Obviously you didn’t get my point. There are no dance shows currently and if social media existed back then this show wouldn’t exist either. It’s just a different time
Hope you have a awesome summer's little too hot ,have I seen on Detroit local news..on the other side of the world..fantastic times we live in..but at least I have picked up dancing again ..thanx 2 you..
OMG caprice this is soo fucking nice n bumping ghetto house...I love it ,grew up with this .on the other side of the globe...at the same time ish..without internet!!..how did it happen?MAGIC.!!🧜♂️KEEP IT CCOMING!!!LOTS OF LOVE 2 U ,CAPRICE..
The show ran from November 1988 through May 1996. It was on hiatus from January 1994 through October 1995 because of the transition into a new studio. Thanks for watching and I hope you are now a subscriber :-)
Bacc when women were in shape and natural. I miss the 80s/90s #thegreatestdetroiteras
I love that they mic’d the crowd. Makes it feel like you’re right there.
Great show and music
This MIX so live
Damn I miss those days we were so Turnt Up
I use my digital turntables like a time machine and take myself back into those days when the DJ's use to rock the house party
Give us a fresh upload tonight! 😉❤
Tomorrow!
Jessie is killing the mix!
I agree!

S. Chris T. Remember the ghetto style DJs..... don't feel ashamed to say ghetto.,. It is what it is and it was what it was
