Rest in peace, Marine. Thank you for your service. What your platoon brothers did for your son is amazing.
Semper Fi ! Once a marine, I was a marine. When one falls he he goes to regroup with his brothers. His brothers that are still here regroup with his son. Got a love it!
I'm a Marine 76-81. Not surprising to me😊
@@ojc2612 Semper Fi brother.
Pops called on his Platoon from Heaven and they responded...GOD Bless your Family, The Corps and our United States of America.
OOHRAH!
Marines are Marines. No question.
THIS right here, this is brotherhood. It didn't matter that they possibly hadn't seen each other in 15-20 years, those men were his brothers, and now their are his son's brothers. Semper Fi Marines o7
I make a point to see at least one of my boys every year in person (have exceeded that goal every time). Phones have made it easy for my generation; I always think about how tough that must have been for the Marines who came before. I can't imagine going through WW1, WW2, or Vietnam with someone then losing contact as life takes its turns.
I haven't seen my fellow Platoon members (1074) in over 47 years. But if I were to bump into one of them tomorrow, I'd be buying him a beer (or Bourbon--as befits our current age), and start sharing memories with him. That would be after the both of us dropped un-ashamed tears, and hugged each other for at least 20 minutes.
@@markl2322 As it should be.
Can we just take a moment to say, thank you to his sister! You made this happen awesome
job sis!
Sis is strong too. Coordinating all that to support and surprise her brother is incredibly kind
Military personnel and their families are a special breed. God bless them all.
Your dad was there. He lives on in you and your brother. Do him proud!
May you find comfort.
Your dad will always be there for you. He is so proud of you. Semper fi

I stand and SALUTE your father!! I'm a Veteran myself...congratulations to the young Marine.

Once a Marine always a Marine. 💪
Semper Fi. Once a Marine always a Marine. Always and forever, a true band of brothers! Oorah.
This touched me..... So sorry for your loss. And what an honorable thing your brother did, finishing his training for your Dad.
What a great young man
If this doesn't bring tears to your eyes nothing will. God bless these men for showing up. They honorably served in the Marines, but showing up for this young man is honor personified.
Trust me, he was there standing for his son with his brothers!
In spite not being American I pay my respects to the family and all Marines!!!!! 🇨🇱🇺🇲
Awesome comment
I have always admired true patriots,no matter their nationality, and a proof of that are US Marines...hats off !!🇨🇱🇺🇲
Sorry for your loss. As soldiers, all we think about when doing work is family. There's nothing better than family. As you can see from the video. He had 4 uncles, making sure that he was supported. You become family when you serve together, and it goes well beyond the military. Congrats....I'll bet you'll make one hellava marine🫡
Well said…indeed
Great job platoon brothers!
Once a Marine, Always a Marine. Much respect.thanks again 🙏👍🇺🇸
So Great Of His Dad’s Fellow Marines. Way To Go! Semper Fi. 🇺🇸
No bond on earth is stronger than that of Marines
Glad to see Marines coming to the side of their brother's son at his graduation. Semper Fi to the new Marine, the Marines of his fathers platoon, and Rest in peace to his father.
About 50 years ago I went to a Navy Aviation School. About 1/3 of the class were Marines and the camaraderie between them was on a higher level than the sailors. I used to run 3 miles by myself on Saturdays for fun and sometimes would pass them as they ran in their group as they were required to do it. They invited me to run with them after seeing me a few weeks by myself. They called me their Swabby Brother.
Semper fi, brother and a "well done!" to your son. From an old retired Marine.
Special brotherhood
Semper Fi brothers. 🇺🇸 🦅
Welcome to the Corps. Marines have this thing about our fellow Marines and you saw proof of that at your graduation at MCRD San Diego. Semper Fi brother, platoon 155, A Company, 1st Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment, on the yellow footprints, 29 June 1964. 4 months and 6 days to my 60th anniversary.
So sad for your loss. You made your dad very proud. I'm a vet, and you keep kickin' ass marine.
Reinforces the motto of Semper Fidelis.
We take care of our own
Those men, stood, for their mate, to honor his sons service, because, that's whats right...
As a Dad of a Marine, I'm at a loss for words.
Can I just say, your son is a remarkable man because of you🫡I want to thank your son for his service and all the sacrifices he made, God made him special 🫡👊🇺🇸👊💯
@@kimlangley5552TY, my son was in Okinawa during Covid and I did not see him for 2 1/2 years. Your comments are very much appreciated.

As my family prepares for losing our last Vietnam Vet, I want to say thank you. Thank you to his biker-Veteran friends who have stood by him, supported him and continue to support us. Thank you to all Veterans, service members and first responders. Thank you to my fierce, tougher than nails cousin, Johnny. As you protected and served us all, we will now protect and support your beautiful wife, your son, and your grandchildren. GOD gave us a back 🦴 to carry weight, not to turn it on each other.
Glad to know they came when it was needed most without having been called.
Those were real Marines.
GOD bless the Marines.
That was an amazing show of support! My dad was an Army Huey pilot who was KIA in Vietnam when I was 6 years old and I joined the Air Force at 17 years old. I wish my dad could have been at my graduations from school and basic training.
Condolences to the family and friends.
May Jacob's father rest in peace, honor and perpetual light shine upon him forever. In the name of the Father son and holy spirit Amen.🇺🇸✝️

My husband did his stint in the Marines starting in his late teens. He was 58 when he, also, died of pancreatic cancer and I made sure the Eagle, Globe & Anchor was engraved on his headstone. Once a Marine, always a Marine. Semper Fi.

This literally brought a tear to my eye. I know as a Dad how proud I was when my son SGT Matt finished boot camp. One of the most impressive things I've ever seen. Semper Fi!, son.

We just don’t hear enough about them 🤗❤️
This is truly beautiful, I cried with you . God bless you all and thank you both for your service ❤
Semper Fi
Awesome job, sister!!
Beautiful and yet heart breaking. Irrespective of the country or unit or service, brothers-in-arms are brothers for life…. Only those that have taken the oath will know and truly understand this… it is this notion that sets us apart from the rest of society. May your father find eternal peace, he like your brother makes your country, Corp and family proud… As we say in the UK, stand down marine (soldier), your stag is over, see you at the FRV. From a UK Vet…
Hard to believe I graduated from those yellow footprints just 4 years after his dad did in 1998. 25 years ago. Seems like yesterday. God Bless you all and your family.
Thank you for your service sorry for your loss may the lord bless yall through this time Rip

*Honesty helps people go further!*
My father's father died while my dad was in USMC boot camp in 1943. When my dad passed away in the 90s, guys who served in the Marines with my dad in the Pacific came to his viewing and funeral to share with me what an amazing guy my dad was, what a great buddy, a great Marine who risked his life for his brothers in the Corps though he was only 18 at the time. It meant so much to me. Once a Marine, always a Marine. I know my dad was smiling down and that it meant a lot to him, too. Semper Fi dad. ❤
His high school graduation picture sent chills down my spine. I graduated at that same place
For sure RIP JarHead!!! Nothing speaks more volumes than a platoon of Devil Dawgs rallying for the newest member! Ooorah soldier!
