Astralis died long ago smothered by corporate oversight and greed. The players are just collecting paychecks at this point and I can't blame them. Maybe in 2 years, rumors will start that the old lineup is playing together again online. Then suddenly they'll make a new team and go on a 2nd run of dominance. To me the main reason so many established teams are struggling is that the rosters are not made organically. Before teams were reduced to investment opportunities, they were made by players who naturally started to play together. There was a layer at the bottom, like a super heated plasma, where teams were formed and fell apart constantly. When players, who were good enough, found other players they had chemistry with, they would stabilize and bubble to the surface and make a go of it. Maybe they were successful, maybe not and maybe they would replace a player in a hotel room after a tournament because they had someone else they would rather play with. It was cutthroat but it made great teams because the players had chemistry and wanted to play with each other. Now teams are a brand, like Astralis, and they try to buy replacements to keep the brand alive. To me it's a fundamental issue of CS that it has become too corporate. It has never been reliable to just buy 5 top players and stick them in a team together. They will almost never perform anywhere near the level you expect. It occasionally worked if you went for pure aim but then they would randomly get beaten by some team no one ever heard of because they weren't playing as a team and fell apart when they met too much resistance.
Staehr gave the interview visibly defated but taking the pain inside, with the self-containment and self-criticism of a true leader. He answered all the questions without workarounds, being honest, humble and a true sportsman after a devastating defeat. He's 19 yo and the 5th player of this roster, but since that interview is the most mature of all. Btw, he deserves a goddam rise.
The best thing that has come out of the stabbi incident and astralis shit show is a new Heroic team that is fun to watch, Glaive crying and Cadian building one of the most exciting rosters in recent memory.
An analysis - Astralis with glaive when Devve hadn't returned, beat Ence and C9 with gambit roster, they were at least competitive only losing to very top teams, Astralis with glaive blame devve was doing great, they won a minor cup as well if I remember, again beating c9 in finals, the Astralis with glaive gone and steahr buzz and borup was awesome again, with them making deep runs, beating g2 and that "His Name is Joe" phase shit, they were consistently good, just a bit short of beating top teams, till the news of stavn and jabbi came in. And when stavn and jabbi came in, in the individuals performance of devve and blame dropped where stavn or jabbi where top fragging for a few matches, they were losing consistently but the performance of the stabbi co was great initially, then they started getting bad kd and devve and blame started upping their kd, and then the whole team started dropping kd with steahr playing the best out of all of them. You can clearly see the inconsistency with roles and importance given to players, all can't be the superstar, and when all want to be the superstar, the only guy left ends up becoming one. This Astralis team has played worse then every other iteration I have pointed out till now.
Richard Lewis kept saying your content was good; I've been watching your channel for a few weeks and this one is really, really, really good and well spoken.
-baitF hopefully. In every iteration of Astralis he's been in he's always very unwilling to sacrifice for the team. The baiting is especially pathetic when he's igl. Like what the fuck kind of leader is he?

the new astralis tactic is really change the whole roster, coach, supoort coach, waterboy when they loose. While the CEO states "astralis is not a losing team"
i'd love your thoughts on what the community and orgs think would be a good team vs what a good team really is. e.g., why is astralis failing? why did C9 not work out? why is ence working out? it seems to me like a player's skills is not just what he can do, but how the surrounding team supports him to show his strength. It seems you can't expect donk to perform similarly in another team with bad roles (even though he's insane, he'll likely have a dip). In my opinion blameF was never for a single moment the same caliber of a player or CS mind as apEX. blameF farmed t2 teams for inflated stats and rarely (if ever) showed any kind of winner's mentality. apEX is winner's mentality embodied - you have to drag that man from the booth after a loss, he'll be there practicing until the electricity is gone. Never trust someone who enjoys blameF CS.
Maaaan, its really sad that its not working for them. I don't even know who they should kick to get a better IGL, maybe even Glave? BlameF because of roles and playstyle? Devve cus of lack of motivation? Jabbi because he has bad stats? It feels so fucking sad honestly...
No chicken parm for lunch today but Raising Canes could be the next best thing. Thank you mr lau for teaching me how to hate from a position of strength. Astralis rip bozo L org
I woke up, turned the stream on my phone while I lay there waking up and watched Astralis get blasted. Starting the morning out with max hate. Crazy that they sent out Staehr for the exit interview, but what a stand up dude he seems to be. He should pull a Stabbi and get the fuck outta there stat unless they replace blameF with a real IGL.
The most insane and maddening part is, that Astralis sent staehr to the post-game loss interview. Instead of taking the responsibility and sending blamef, as Striker already said on twitter. Felt bad for staehr, hopefully he wont be scapegoated, since he is the best player right now. But i highly doubt that they will kick anybody else
I do think people put to much blame on BlameF (lol). He is the IGL yes, but Stavn and Device should have the pedigree and experience to be able to help figure this team out. To me it seems like nobody really believes in the project and that is a death sentence when you are playing against people who would give anything to get into the major. When DEVICE, the greatest danish player of all time is going on Twitter saying how he isn't having fun BEFORE you even get bounced from the LCQ, that speaks volumes. Imagine being a young player like Jabbi, Stavn, Staehr and playing with your idol only for them to give up and not put their 100% into the team. Maybe its an issue with Astralis as an org too, maybe they just really are a nightmare to play for nowadays and thats the reason device doesn't feel motivated. Idk, I just don't think BlameF's calling is so bad that 4 top 20 players can't even make it through the RMR, there has to be deeper problems.
When G2 lost vs fnatic in Paris, NiKo gave the most heart wrenching exit interview. NIKO, THE MAN FOR WHOM IT MEANT THE MOST AND WHO WAS ABSOLUTELY GUTTED. Thats fucking leadership man, my goat. BlameF may be an IGL but he isn't the leader they need.
Not sure what's worse. The fact that they got eliminated or the fact that played so horribly in most of the matches despite having this much talent on the roster. Wonder what could've been had they held on against Spirit and didn't choke the 11-8 lead.
Literally any player other than Staher should have given the exit interview. Stavn and Jabbi are young, but super experienced and literally staked their reputation on this project. Stager is the only up-and-comer from this project. He's got the lowest expectations from the roster. Disrespectful from every member of the team
Ever since BlameF took over IGL duties, I - as an Astralis fan - was sorely disappointed. He isn't and never has been IGL material. His only successful team as an IGL was only saved by Obo who basically didn't play the strat he does - passive, inactive, defensive garbage that does nothing but just wait for the attack. they never in BlameFs time actually went out of their way to actually play to win - only played out of fear of losing. BlameF is unquestionably an excellent rifler - he's just not suitable as an IGL. Despite BlameFs great stats and his excellent rifling, he's the center of Astralis downfall. Everything has basically been changed around him, players in, players out, players returning, coaches in, coaches out. Yes Device, Stavn And jabbi needs to hit their shots, but my opinion is that the atmosphere behind the curtain in Astralis is poor and everything surrounds BlameF. If you took him out and insert Glaive/Snappi/Hooxi/Cadian/Patti/TMB as IGL and in case of Cadian(never gonna happen) Device would return to rifling, you'd get a better performing team because there's finally someone in the team that can do leadership.
One other thing, Australis as a team should be kicking everyones butt, but they are a bunch of great players that haven't figured out how to play as a team yet. Given time who knows!
The players make sense even blamefs individual level is great but the calling is just making this team look so distraught. Stavn is a great play maker, jabbi is a great entry fragger. But their gameplan is to lurk all around the map solo and then execute with 3 people and two lurks. Horrible gameplan for the caliber of players they have. MR12 also hurts their very conservative play style, strong economy but the best you can do sometimes is 6-6 or 4-8 a half doesnt cut it in cs2
all these older players/teams think they can hop into matches unprepared praying their "CSGO experience" saves them, lotta these plunders show cs2 is a new game, an that old experience don't mean to much anymore. astralis were great for CT sides, their matches seemed like 5 buddies going into a premier match just running through the motions
Lau I went back and looked at total awp kills in the grand final of Katowice tournaments, those stats tell me everything we need to know about the balance of CS2 right now. The awp has not been figured out by anyone regardless of updates. Sure the standard long and open lane picks but nothing like we saw over the past 5 years with GO. Zywoo choosing to go with the AK, simple choosing to do so, I meaaaaaaan things are looking weird. Also to extend on your point further if you look at that those stats lau, the least amount of awp kills at Katowice before donk was drum roll………device! 4:59
@@animecuts813 look at his average kills compared to go. Maybe the best in cs2, everyone can have their opinions. Fact is mr12, it’s economy, and subtick has killed the awp. Donks run at Katowice is not surprising with the state of the game.
I dunno I think the economy is a bigger factor for AWP not performing in CS2 than the mechanics itself 4750 is a way bigger ask comparatively with less rounds to work with and way more risk imo it should have its price reduced a bit
how were they able to figure it out when they had buzz and Borup? I know blamef is not a very good IGL but he has succeeded before with worse pieces. between when they dropped glaive and picked up stabbi they were actually impressive! Everyone was shitting on Borup but the team was actually working, it wasnt broke but they tried to fix it and now they are paying almost as hard as they possibly can.

That moses gif is insane
thank god launders uploaded this an hour ago because i’m on lunch and i’m gonna hate literally my entire hour 😤
Have a great day at work
yes! do one about superteams in the past! that sounds good
Getting back into CS after taking a few years off, I'm not conditioned for the hate/love rollercoaster, send help
Device and jabbi are the reason they sucked,Blamef can’t click mouse for device or tell jabbi to stop playing like a noob
Wonder what could've been had they held on against Spirit and didn't choke the 11-8 lead.
gla1ve the honorary pole at Katowice and now the ENCE team being honorary Danes at Copenhagen
moomin pfp here as well; based beyond belief
The curse of Stabbi is hella strong
OBVI coach/igl problem. Look at the stats, their is NO way an igl have better stats then lurk/entry without idiotic calls.
One other thing, Australis as a team should be kicking everyones butt, but they are a bunch of great players that haven't figured out how to play as a team yet. Given time who knows!
As the biggest Astralis hater I've been hard all week
I was so shocked too when i saw Steahr do the exit....... Where the fuck is blamef balls?????!!!! Nowhere!
As someone who was a heroic fan this was fun to watch cant lie.
MR12 also hurts their very conservative play style, strong economy but the best you can do sometimes is 6-6 or 4-8 a half doesnt cut it in cs2
who chooses who has to do the interviews (e.g. the exit interview for astralis which staehr had to do)?
I really like seeing Clint Stevens in the background, twitch GOAT
all these older players/teams think they can hop into matches unprepared praying their "CSGO experience" saves them, lotta these plunders show cs2 is a new game, an that old experience don't mean to much anymore. astralis were great for CT sides, their matches seemed like 5 buddies going into a premier match just running through the motions
Monesy only good cs2 awper
@@animecuts813 look at his average kills compared to go. Maybe the best in cs2, everyone can have their opinions. Fact is mr12, it’s economy, and subtick has killed the awp. Donks run at Katowice is not surprising with the state of the game.
you know it’s bad when boombl4 is better awper than device
@@animecuts813 exactly😂
I dunno I think the economy is a bigger factor for AWP not performing in CS2 than the mechanics itself
4750 is a way bigger ask comparatively with less rounds to work with and way more risk imo it should have its price reduced a bit
how were they able to figure it out when they had buzz and Borup? I know blamef is not a very good IGL but he has succeeded before with worse pieces. between when they dropped glaive and picked up stabbi they were actually impressive! Everyone was shitting on Borup but the team was actually working, it wasnt broke but they tried to fix it and now they are paying almost as hard as they possibly can.
i used to like astralis a lot.
i didnt knew about heroic situations (kickin cadian and jabbi , stavn joins astralis)
but now , they just dissappointed every fan of them and i kinda feel bad for devve.
i hope they will become better team later .
RIPBOZO
POLSKA GUROM ! go gla1ve
