Hi sir,mera beta 7 yrs ka hone wala hai wo mild autistic hai...pehle uski toilet triang krwai thi..behaviour issues boht the...drop krdia then abhi 1 week pehle krwana start kia hai.. non verbal hai.infact mamma baba bhi nhi bolta....usko pee or poo nhin krta washroom mai...bus house mai ek corner us ne choose kia hai wahan hi sub krta hai...washroom mai nhi krta...plz help me.....visual cards door or under washroom area mai lagayn hain...but not focusing...plz help krdijiay..

Hi My baby age is 4.3 months he is used to pass the urine in toilet seat but when I forced to sit in potty seat for flush out he is crying a lot and but didn't do potty inside it wheather he seated for 15-20mins in potty seat....whenever he wear his lower then go and pass the stool...I tried a lot...please help me how may I work on it to trained my child..

durva a. Pl consult some expert medical specialist/ gastroenterologist to rule out any medical issue. It could be a behaviour as well but difficult to suggest without detailed data.

Mera beta beech mein potty training chod Diya ha. Vo khud se bathroom Jata tha ya mujhe bulata tha. But from two weeks vo har jagah Karta ha. Aur hastha ha. Mein samjhayi to bhi sunta Nahi ha. Jab vo therapy mein ha ya school mein ha uska potty training Nahi ho raha ha kyunki vo non verbal ha. Communicate Nahi Karta. Aur usko Apne susu aur potty Ka smell se Ulti Aaye jaisa Karta ha. Kaise uski help karein? Aur school mein kaise
moolamalla I will definitely reply your queries...but just wanted to know that...why you started your comment with “Sir please poore questions reply karein”. Do you feel that I don’t do it?
moolamalla Toilet training has to be focused in all environments at starting because if the child gets opportunity in any one environment he is likely to repeat it in other places as well. Pl keep a note of his timings and give him some word to listen while taking him to toilet...you may have a timed schedule for taking him to toilet depending upon intake and noticed frequency. (For details, Pl see videos on “AS D and Toilet Training” in the playlist in the file “Understanding ASD”. Don’t make him sit there for prolonged periods, reinforce his responses exaggeratedly once he passes in toilet. Use pictures to make him understand the procedure. Feeling uncomfortable for smell of potty is natural as well but try to develop tolerance by distracting him there with things of his interest, make him smell different things (good and bad smells to desensitise). Since he was toilet trained earlier so he will re-start soon, be consistent....In addition to these drills focus more on RANDOMISATION for every possible thing...don’t allow him to follow any specific pattern. Teach him through play focusing Pre Learning Skills (Details in the Playlist).

Sir..my daughter is 3 years 2 month old. Before 2 weeks, whenever I make her sit on potty seat,she did potty and sometimes she shows some signs of potty.. but for the last 2 weeks she is behaving like a baby.. she is doing potty upto 6 times and after having potty, she has no feeling that something abnormal happened to her,she continues what she is doing.... Khud me he kar deta ha aur pher btata bhi nahi ha.waise usey Sara pta ha if we ask him toilet kaha jate ha to wo bathroom kehta ha.agar pucho ki kaha ha bathroom to point out bhi karega.toilet ya poty khud me hone k baad if we ask him ye kya kiya to darta bhi ha ki dant padegi but fer bhi btata nahi ha.2 days pehle usey new toilet seat layi to he was v.happy ar pants khud khol k kehta toilet karna ha.us seat me try kr rahi hu aj kal.karta bhi ha usme poty but shayad theek se nahi karta.kuch der me khud me aur kar deta ha.i don't know usey kaise samjhaun ki poty and toilet ko btana hota ha.
Understanding repetitiveness in ASD is very important...a child passing stool or pee in pamper etc (not doing it on commode or not telling earlier) will tend to continue same due to repetitiveness. The solution to it is to do few days drill for this.... keep noting the timings, if specific or make a schedule for taking him to toilet (For details pl see the playlist ... Understanding ASD.... see vidoes on "ASD and Toilet Training") get his attention before or while taking to toilet and let him listen the word you want him to utter e.g. Potty aai hai, washroom jana hai etc...follow same words/ sentence every time. Few helpful tips are; make the activity funny/ playful for him to enjoy, don't make him sit there for prolonged periods... you may increase the frequency of going for a specific/likely period, show him pictures for teaching the required concept, reinforce and appreciate maximum on even small achievements at initial stages and gradually fade it at earliest, consistent effort will help it. In shaa Allah. In long run to overcome many such issues; work on Pre Learning Skills in play, focusing attention, processing of instructions and randomize every possible thing.
