Trying to sublimate black letters onto an orange koozie. I’ve tried multiple temps and times but my sublimation paper is leaving a dark square around the letters after it’s heated 😩
I'm having a heck of a time with double imaging. I'm using repositionable spray. I've tried tape. I've tried drying out the transfer first to eliminate some of the shrinkage. The double image is happening equally on all side, the 'ghost image' being anywhere from 1/8" to 1/16" smaller from all sides, with the center being fairly clear. Any thoughts/help?
The spray usually works fine, however if you are still experiencing double imaging you can try pre-pressing the koozie between 2 clean sheets of paper for about 10 secs. Part of what is causing the double imaging is that the neoprene shrinks slightly when its heating so it is moving. Also you have to be quick when you take off the transfer and not let it touch back to the neoprene, that is why spray also makes it easier. Make sure to take the transfer off right away.
Hi where can i get the template for thse stubby coolers? Also I have just worked after watching videos people are using teflon paper and protective/scrap paper! Whats the difference. Where can I purchase? Thanks
If you are our customer, templates are available once you log onto our website - or you can email us at sublimation@jdsindustries.com and we will send you an eps file. The teflon and scrap paper do the same thing - protect your press from residual ink - one is just more disposable than the other. We do sell the teflon sheets. They come in two sizes - 14" x 16" and 16" x 20"
There will always be slight lines on the sides and bottom. The only way to completely cover is to sublimate the type that are not already sewn together.
@@JDSINDUSTRIES Have you ever experimented with sublimating a Koozie in a mug press? I'm thinking about trying that at our shop in an effort to get the sublimation completely around the Koozie.
Just go to the www.jdsindustries.com website and do a search for the part number (SBL031). No need to login. At the bottom of the description are four links. The last is the template.
The spray is 3M Repositionable spray. We carry it - part #3M75. You can also get it at hobby & craft stores. Elmer's has a version also.
Hi! Is that a neoprene or foam rubber material you sublimated on? Isn't it going to shrink the neoprene fabric 's thickness?

There could be multiple reasons this is happening. If you give our sublimation team a call, they would be happy to walk you through it! 855.782.4657

How about if I want to do it on a dark colored beverage holder?
Just like apparel, if the beverage holder is already dark colored, then you cannot sublimate it because you just won't see the image.
how can i do it so it doesnt have any of the blank showing? make the image a little bigger so it wraps as i press?

@@Phaucked If done in a mug press, there will be a gap because the mug press doesn't close completely.
Where can I get the template you refer to in the video?
Go to www.jdsindustries.com and search for SBL031.
How do you sublimate black stubby holders please
I'm not sure what you mean by black stubby holders but if they are all black you can't sublimate them. Sublimation only works on light colors.
Where to get the template? Link doesn't work
The link if fixed.
What kind of sublimation paper is that?
TruePix brand paper
My koozies get flat when I sublimate them at light pressure. How can I avoid them getting flat?
There is no way to prevent the neoprene from flattening. That is just what happens with the material when any pressure is applied.
How do we gain access to the template? I can't seem to find it.

@@JDSINDUSTRIES what program do you use to open your templates? I can't seem to open it in any of mine.
@@christigamman9833 Any software that supports .eps files will work - CorelDraw, Illustrator or Photoshop.
