You would need a sublimation printer, or a printer that can conver to sublimation. Sublimation ink. Sublimation paper. Heat press. heat tape. sublimation ready blanks. You can basically print from any program that can create and image or text.
to transfer ink this way, you must have sublimation ink. If you wanted to use an inkjet printer, there are many options of transfer papers, such as Joleens.
Thanks for this video. I am still having so much trouble. I have used heat tape and now the adhesive spray and I am still getting shadowing. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I have a clam heat press set to 400 for 30 seconds medium pressure. Please help! I have gone thru so many koozies with this same issue
I’ve watched several different videos and each of them say different temps, time and pressure. So I’ve tried 385 for 60 seconds light pressure and medium pressure, 395 for 45 seconds with light and medium pressure and now 400 for 30 seconds light and medium. And I’m still getting shadowing. I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I can’t figure it out
Cindy- I'm sorry you are still having issues. Are you pre-pressing? That might help. As far as temp -you are seeing so many different answers because heat presses can vary. Like mine runs a little hot, so I compensate by lowering from what the recommendations are from the manufacturer. Also, maybe try lowering your pressure. The suction from the top platen when you open it is what causes the ghosting. Use tape or spray adhesive, light pressure so when you open it, it doesn't POP open - you can gently lift. If you are still having issues, please feel free to reach out to me by messenger on my Facebook page. facebook.com/StacyODesigns
Stacy O Designs hi Stacy yes I’ve tried pre pressing but that didn’t help either. I had been using tape but when I came across your video I bought the same spray you use and that didn’t help either ... I’ll try again with the light pressure though maybe I am lifting it too quick ... thank you!!
Well, it depends on the size of your can cooler and if you are doing a full wrap or just an image. For just an image I don't go over 3x3 For a full wrap I do about 4.5x5.5
The square lines meaning the press marks from the paper? Firstly, neoprene does not need a lot of pressure. That can leave marks. If I do get marks, I roll with a lint roller while it's hot. That pulls the fabric fibers back up. This technique works on all types of fabrics. BUT, if you press TO hard, it may be a lost cause. Another option is to have the paper go over the edges of the koozie. It uses up valuable paper, but you definitely won't get the press mark lines.
I am screen printing koozies and selling them. Do you do screen printing and sublimation koozies and if so could you pm me with what you charge for each? Trying to get an idea of what to charge. Thanks so much!
note to self TEMP @8:00 min mark 385 / 60 SECONDS .She is doing 377 / 57 seconds.
the temp should be 385. The substrate can absorb the heat and drop for a few seconds. But then it comes back up.
Love this video. Do you have a video as it relates to settings for 7720 for sublimation
thank you. I talk about settings in this video: ua-cam.com/video/zBITPh_TOs4/v-deo.html
Have you ever used htvront paper? It's has more color release then a sub, I used to use a sub until I found it
I actually haven't tried HTVRont paper. I use their vinyl and like it. I will look into it. Thanks :)

Do you have to have a sublimation printer or will an ink jet printer work?

@@cindyperez1562 your singing to much or to little presher then
Do you print using premium matte and high quality?
Yes, i use premium presentation matte and print on high quality,...and un-check high speed printing
What dimensions do you make your designs at when using on Koozies?
Well, it depends on the size of your can cooler and if you are doing a full wrap or just an image.
For just an image I don't go over 3x3
For a full wrap I do about 4.5x5.5
Cual es el nombre del spray.
It's re-positional adhesive spray.
are these specially for sublimating or they just regular koozies
They are regular white koozies. Neoprene is sublimatable! :)
Great work! We have the "true white" if you ever need more :)
Thank you! YES! I am going to definitely check it out. Do you happen to carry wine glass can coolers?
How do you avoid getting the square lines on them?
The square lines meaning the press marks from the paper? Firstly, neoprene does not need a lot of pressure. That can leave marks. If I do get marks, I roll with a lint roller while it's hot. What was your settings degrees and time please
And thank you
Do you take orders to make them for people. You can pm and let me kno
yes. Thank you for reaching out. It was great talking with you.
Who's the drummer? I see the drum kit in the background. lol
:) My whole family are musicians. My son rocks the drums
do they get super flat
hmmmm, super flat? no. BUT, I have used ones that I got off amazon that did. I got these from a sublimation supplier and they are much thicker.
I always get ghosting. I tape them, spray them and lift slowly. Mine always puff up too. Jealous
hmmm, do you pre-press? That could help. These neoprene coolers (and neoprene in general) is finicky. Do you happen to have a clam shell press?
Stacy O Designs I just started pre pressing it’s much better but still a little funky. No I don’t have a clamshell. Mines a slide away

I have played with screen printing, but I don't do them to sell. To calculate price I use Cost x 3
Lol me too
twinsies :)
