  • Are you tired of seeing ghosting on your neoprene koozies (aka can coolers) after sublimating? No worries, we've got you covered! In this video, we'll be showing you how to sublimate your neoprene koozies without ghosting.
    All you need are some quality neoprene can coolers or koozies, a printer filled with sublimation ink, high-quality sublimation paper, a high-resolution image, and a heat press preheated to 375 degrees. We did a lot of testing to learn the best way to sublimate on koozies without ghosting, and we developed a pretty foolproof method for achieving great results every tmie.
    Ghosting is when the paper/design printed with sublimation ink shifts slightly, either from the can kooler expanding or contracting, or the image moving because it wasn't taped well (or peeled to hot). Any of these scenarios can create a faint, ghost-like image on your sublimated koozie. But with our tips and tricks, you'll be able to prevent it and achieve a beautiful, clear sublimated design on your neoprene koozie.
    So, make sure to tune in and learn how to sublimate your neoprene koozies like a pro! Don't forget to hit the like and subscribe buttons for more sublimation tutorials and tips. Cheers!

    Thanks for the tips! I'll have to try this with the "insert". I've wasted over 30 koozies because of ghosting and got so frustrated, but this makes sense now. Wish me luck :)

    Hello, have you tried sublimating without the piece of acrylic insert? Does it help with keeping the thickness of the koozie? Sometimes I'll have 1 side holds up the thickness better than the other side.

    • @JustMightDIY
      @JustMightDIY  Рік тому +1

      Hey! We had much better luck using an insert (our first ones were cardboard, which lasted a few presses but would ultimately lose their structure. Less pressure is going to help keep the thickness on the koozie. Hope this helps!

    May I ask what program you use to resize your prints for tumblers and other projects? I'm having the worst luck trying to find a program.

    What is that “piece of acrylic” you used as an insert?

    • @JustMightDIY
      @JustMightDIY  Рік тому +2

      Hey! That’s a piece we cut ourselves. You can use anything (wood, cardboard, chipboard, etc) that’s heat tolerant and won’t warp. Hope this helps!

    I saw in your comment above you suggested chipboard for an insert... Do you think the Cricut chipboard would be thick enough? I may try to cut a template out on my cricut maker 3!

      The chipboard holds up sort of ok with multiple uses.
      What kind of acrylic are you using? I am going to have to get some, but want to make sure I get the right kind!

    I just bought a few sheets of HDPE to cut and make the inserts. Can I ask the dimensions of the ones that you use? TY!

      Sorry it took so long to respond, just got back from honeymoon. We would suggest just grabbing a caliper and getting custom dimensions for the koozie you have. This video was long enough ago we don't have the original dimensions

    Hi where did you find the insert?

    • @JustMightDIY
      @JustMightDIY  10 місяців тому

      Hi! We made that ourselves on our laser. However, you can make one out of many different materials depending on what tools you have access to. We even started a long time ago with just cardboard, but it only lasted a press or two before it lost its shape. Hope this helps!

      Hey! We’re glad this is helpful! We’ve found that no two brands of koozies are the same, so we measure each new set we get separately.
