This is helpful for seeing the various cuts. My go-to is always 512.

512 is a nice cut. I slightly prefer 511 because the leg opening works for any type of footwear (whereas 512 might be too narrow for boots). But both are solid!

@@BrockMcGoff I couldn't agree more. I have a pair of 512s but I don't like how slim they are at the bottom. I think they look a bit wired with most of my footwear.

I think the 512 looks best, especially for slim and/or athletic guys. It has such a nice and clean silouette that resembles the natural leg shape. More room on the bigger thigh and then tapering down below the knee until it reaches its slimmest point, the leg opening, which is exactly located at the leg's slimmest point, the ankle.
But I have to agree that is best suited for low top shoes like sneakers or loafers.

For me they look tapered. Not skinny at all.

I’m a slim guy also. I’ve found JCrew slim jeans fit me better than Levi’s. Also, there’s only one JCrew slim ( which works for me) so that eliminates the choice stress with Levi’s since they have so many styles to choose from

Only thing that fits (kinda, need to get waist tailored. ~2 full fists extra room, depending on fabric blend)

511 and 512 look most flattering on you imo. Good thing you added your weight, most people dont understand these fits wont drape the same if you have bigger glutes and quads.
