Enjoyed your video, as a Bulls fan its nice to see someone talk about our game and have a good knowledge of all the plays and intrinsics that are going on. I'm not really on that understanding level but still watch Bull games so know the strengths we need to play to so its nice seeing a more insightful look on it. There were a few mistakes not huge ones though but you got Otto Porter mixed up with Hutchison one time and Temple mixed up with Gafford. Also one play I'm not exactly a fan of is the one to get Wendell open at the top of the perimeter isnt a high percentage look, I know Billy is trying to develop that part of his game but Wendell has always looked much more comfortable shooting from the corners. In fact I think offensively Wendell and Gafford probably weren't played to their strengths to begin with and took an adjustment period for Donovan too. He had them both passing from the high post when both are much better coming off the pick and roll, its a simple play thats easy buckets for both when executed well but even in Wendell's case if he doesnt get the open look he's able to kick the ball out for the open man, this to me is also Wendell's most effective way of playmaking too. I think he can further develop his playmaking in general but that right now puts him in the best position to assist. Donovan switched Wendell's offensive scheme to more pick and roll recently and its been his best run of games so far.
I just think it's funny that this run for the Bulls could be luck or too early to say it's a real deal but I love to see it especially when Coach uploads it. It's positive, basketball, and content I think that differs from anyone else who uploads to UA-cam. So even if a prediction he makes is wrong. I'd still like it cus I enjoy Coach and the content he brings out.
I like how you support your videos with advanced stats and metrics. Guys on other basketball channels just spew cliche sayings, or baseless opinions with no substance.
Billy Donovan was and is a capable Head Coach. His situation in OKC was not ideal but it isn't like OKC was so much worse during his tenure. I as a Thunder fan will always be grateful for his time with the franchise during its slow transition away from Durant and later Westbrook. I would have loved for him to stay with SGA and the young core we are building but I respect him parting ways. That being said, I would love it if Coach could cover the young Thunder and their surprising 5-4 (as of this post) start. SGA has really grown by leaps and bounds and looks like a true Number 1 option that can lead a future championship contender and I would love to see him get more love.
Wendell Carter Jr. is definitely one of the most exciting young prospects! He's thriving in that Bam Adebayo/Draymond Green "short-roll and pass" role, due to the improvements he made to his jumpshot and passing. He was already a fenomenal rim protector! I'm a Sixers fan but this is a great draft pick by the Bulls! Great video coach! Keep up the good work
Boylen’s misuse of his players talents is reminiscent of Matt Nagy’s misuse of his players. It’s a familiar theme in recent Chicago sports. Great breakdown Coach! Thanks for not ignoring the Bulls!
Thanks for the knowledge. Good video. Only thing is Cobe White isn’t much of a playmaker but he’s getting better. And he is a catch and shoot guy, it’s probably his best skill.
Man, seeing Thomas Bryant in those replays kinda hurts as a former fantasy owner. But I can see why he can get prone to injuries with the way he moves his feet and body. Also, nice breakdown coach. I'm liking these comparisons.
The Boylen years were an absolute nightmare, and the breaking point of the GarPax era. Now, with a now GM and coach Billy Donovan coaching. it feels great to enjoy watching their games again and it feels like a fresh breeze blowing through W. Madison St.!!!! GO BULLS!!!! :)

Offensively is much better, especially with Zach scoring over 30 the last few games, but defensively there needs to be some adjustments. Not to mention they need to improve closing out on games.
I havent watched a lot of bulls games, but this makes it quite clear, just imagine a coach using someone like danny green to run pick n roll, a versatile scorer playing catch n shoot and the fourth/fifth option somehow end up tryna iso at any given moment lmaoo
There are obvious reasons to be optimistic about their new look this season. But I still can't shake the feeling that they still need a clear long term plan, which they actually can carry out. Kinda like with the Knicks, where they seemingly have found a new identity, but then problably will squander it with a bone-headed trade or lack of a clear drafting strategy. The bulls have many great assets, but I'm not convinced that they can mold/shape them into pieces that will fit into a successful/winning system. Also, any system will look awesome in comparison to the dreadful J.Boylen regime.
In my opinion: The Bulls need ONE MORE LOTTERY PICK (the 2021 draft is TOO LOADED at the top "NOT" to try to get one of them) and they need to sign one BIG NAME / BIG GAME PLAYER (I thought they should've really pushed to get one this year)! Of course, they need the current players to continue to develop and not miss a lot of time with MAJOR INJURIES, but if they can do this, they will be on their way within a couple of years!
I feel like this continued success just shows the criticism Donovan got when coaching Durant and Westbrook was unwarranted. His offensive chops are great, he needs his players to be on board with actually running the offense. Westbrook improvises and rejects plays way too much
