- I've been having lots of fun with space marine 2, specially with the vanguard, definitely my favorite class of the moment :D

@@the_takibo not impressed so far. The hype made it seem like it would be a much more immersive combat game. Pretty generic third person shooter really.
I think it needs ultrawide monitor support asap cause right now it's a piece of cr@p for ultrawide users

Switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading.
This is something that every good Gears player learned, folks haven't picked up on it yet. Key element to closing on kills quickly and moving out before you get flanked or focused by respawning players coming into the fight late.

Just a Tip for anyone using the sniper guy you can cancel the cloak by pressing triangle again save the ability and no long cool down 🎉

Man, this game looks so fun to play... There's no way my computer can run it though, the plight of having a decade old PC :(

It runs alright for me but my loading screens are extremely long and my computer sounds like its about to catch fire
I'm being honest with you bro, this multiplayer is one of the worst asset flips on the planet. These streamers and youtubers make it look good but its just not. Within an hour of playing the PvP, youll realize how little work was put into it. It feels like it was probably completed in the last 5 hours of development. Insanely unbalanced. Melee doesn't stunlock so its useless. Assault class is beyond useless. 2 heavies and 2 bulwarks on each team because they are so busted. Its not good bro. Take it from a diehard warhammer fan. It's a 6 hour campaign, an unplayable mess for PvP (if you can even CONNECT to a match btw). and a "operations mode" that is already stale after 6 hours of doing those. Not worth $60.

One thing I don’t like about the pvp is that the melee seems like it is almost useless in pvp. Even though it goes through armor, the guns are just too effective
Flanking my boy plus literal grapple kick to get you close. Also remember melee the damn heavy shoot everyone else

SM2 PVP is a matter of countering, melee has its uses, Vanguards cant grapnel you if youre in their face, Bulworks cant block heavy melee attacks, when figure out comboing with heavy attacks, you will win nearly every melee fight
The PvP is unbalanced garbage. I just can't believe how many people are defending it. On top of a 6 hour campaign AND nearly unplayable servers. Not worth $60 at all.
I like berserkers as the vanguard, but they really need a Chainaxe
Sprint speed should be varied by armor and overall bulkiness, some kind of weight system maybe

I disagree with parrying being made more important in pvp. It would just become a quick time minigame until someone got shot down.
Unless you dodge. I hate the fact that no one has any incentive to throw hands in PvP when backing up and shooting is both safer and faster.

PvP needs at least 2-3 more maps ASAP. 3 maps will getting tiring , quick
Great gameplay, good use of the sidearm and grappling hook to escape. Vanguard looks exceptional.
Something that a lot of folks haven't been doing is hip firing like in Gears of War, and it's a really important tool to maintain mobility and presenting a more difficult target to hit.
I'm also seeing folks tossing their grenades right away in the "general direction." Probably better to hold them for a clutch situation, covering a retreat, pushing or actually bunk busting a position

Just because I hadn't seen this raised yet, you can grapple onto heavies and bulwarks to interrupt their shield because the hook stuns them! As vanguard, you pretty much counter these classes

Sniper with the bolt carbine is also so strong
It’s all I die to fr. Every game I play where there’s a sniper on the enemy side… he swaps off the rifle and goes for the carbine instead with the cloak. It feels cheesy
What i love about this game is that even the regular ass bolt pistol is super viable. Need a bit of range that your bolter won't cut? The bolt pistol got you covered!

Nothings viable but the burst bolter or the plasma stuff or somehow getting super fast animations as assault with hammer cos everyone has twice the animation speed and no input lag whereas mines horrendous.
Do you know why my TTK is so slow etc when my and fine and I’m hitting shots the desync is just terrible and input lags getting me killed all the time. I press a button twice because it’s so laggy on the input
@@aguy607 trust me, when you're forced to use your bolt pistol because you don't have a primary or have a melta rifle and need that range, you'll see the value of it overtime.

I got a triple kill by grappling into a group with just the sword. They could of been vulnerable from the tac but it was siiiick

U do release your can grabble people for immediate health damage followed by melee. Ignores their shields
In lore, the mk10 armour is between 800-1000lbs but space marines are insanely fast. Unfortunately that is a hard thing to integrate into a video game, especially a game with PVP and you need balance. SM walking speed is a little over jogging speed for humans so I do wish the sprint speed was a lot faster but I understand why.
I thought vanguard be subpar in PVP and better in PVE but doesnt seem so bad. Skill obviously wins out
Vanguards grapple kick is pretty tricky to deal with in pvp
Grappling hook is great ability, coz it stuns enemy hit with it so you can start bonking with melee first
I like that all the classes counter each other like how bulwark counters heavy, vanguard counters bulwark, tactical counters snipers, and snipers counter assault but I think it should stun other classes than bulwark slightly less just because how easy it makes kills

It should be that if you parry a melee attack, a 1v1 initiates and you can only take damage from your opponent with melee and vice versa

In a way I'm kinda glad parrying isn't in the pvp. Parry spam would be absurd, and combined with the hammer that 2-3 shots you, yeah I think I'm good with the coin flip we already have.
They really need to rework chaos marines to make them not just reskins. Unique playstyles are necessary for them

I would've gone to melee him if I can't beat them in a gunfire close range after grappling in. Damage is damage after all. You'll put mental pressure onto your enemy for your next teammates when they face them.

The average space Marine weights between 1 ton and 1 1/2 tons depending on weapons a gear.

Bulwark and heavy are my favorite so far
Because they are insanely busted, hence why there is 2 and 2 on each team taking it even remotely serious.

Nice to see something other than, drop a grenade and then stun so it kills them. Game needs some good balancing passes at least for console. Feels like frag grenades should do 50-75% hp and krak grenades should be an instant kill if stuck but instead krak doesn't kill and frags are the low skill ez button. 2 swing lills with thunder hammer and it has aoe, parry doesnt so anything in pvp, bolt pistol is extremely underwhelming considering its the only option for some classes

What ive noticed is that almost all Vanguards play the same
If you try to melee rush them, they wont melee back, rather they will back away while shooting you
If they grapel you they will almost always knife you to death as they havent figured out chainswords yet
They will either flank or flee if they arent doing one of those other things
Literally every single Vanguard i have seen do these things, they manage to be so uniquely annoying yet so weirdly predictable, thats the downside to vanguard, they are typically easy to predict and that makes them easy to kill

I find the time to kill in the game perfect but then you got the people who like to bitch and moan about everything lil so i guess we'll find out how long till we hear people bitching about it
So far I actually can't stand vanguard in multiplayer. The class ability feels just horrible. Half the time I can be staring at an enemy, shoot them with the ability, only for the grapnel to go *through there body*, hit the wall behind them, then cancel the grapnel, leaving me vulnerable the whole time with no stun. It fucking BLOOOOWS.
Secondly, as your gameplay shows, it's hot dogwater for melee. You're better off shooting like 90% of the time. Khorne is fucking displeased.

@@xreed8 this is the most surface level take imaginable. There literally isn't even a cover mechanic, "ie" the single most mechanically significant part of Gears combat. This game plays nothing like Gears.
