Nice video Chris! Definitely looking forward to you catching a snakehead. I also have heard that they are delicious to eat! Hope you get one buddy! As always, thanks for sharing! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Enjoyed your guest speakers!
That was a nice pond. I really like your pond videos. Heck I like all your videos. Hitting those trees gets easy when fish swirl or jump, I’m throwing quick
Thanx for watching & the compliment. That pond looks awesome but I have yet to land a fish in it. I hooked that small bass that threw it but that is it. But I keep trying.
We don't have snakeheads in my area but we do have bowfin. They're elusive as hell! I've never caught one and been trying for years. Maybe one day you'll get your snakehead and ill get my bowfin and we'll mark them off the list
Thanx for watching & commenting. I've heard of bowfins but have never seen 1, think they're similar. I will continue my quest until I get at least 1 & I hope you bag a bowfin some day. The longer the search, the more exciting when the goal is achieved
@DrDitchpickle typically Bowfin will hit the same lures as a bass, especially soft plastics. I can't stand hooking into one. They are fighters and thrashers for sure, but annoying as hell. Be careful when you do get one...they have teeth!
@@DrDitchpickle yeah, maybe not as many as a pickeral but they are so strong and crazy acting. I just posted a video from my tournament this weekend, check it out and see what I mean. I caught a Bowfin at about the 4 1/2 minute mark.
Can’t wait for you to get one. I know they are an invasive species so I was wondering if you get one what will you do with it? I cut the gills on invasive species and let the turtles eat them. DNR was ok with it. Better than banking them. As always enjoyed the video.
Thanx for watching & the question. I tried to post a reply days ago but apparently it didn't take, sorry. In Maryland, you can throw them back, but they prefer you keep them. Everybody I talk to say they are one of the tastiest fish they ever had. So since they can breath air, I plan on keeping them, bleeding them out like catfish & eating them. I'm dying to taste one
Thanx for watching & commenting. They are considered an invasive species but I think they are predominantly found I the northeast & mid Atlantic states so far
thanx for watching & commenting. I'm pretty sure I can catch a couple this summer if I target them enough times. But for invasive species, they sure seem hard to locate & catch. I'll keep trying.
Nice try. Hopefully you can find and catch one. I always though it'd be cool to catch one, but you know here in Pennsylvania, they want you to immediately kill any that you catch. That'd be hard for me since I always put em back. I guess it could " accidentally " slip out of my hand after removing the hook.
Thanx for watching & commenting. Although they are considered invasive, in MD you can legally throw them back but they prefer you don't. You just can't transport them to other areas
Thanx for watching & good question. They are fierce fighting fish, they are considered invasive & everybody I speak with that has caught them say they are one of the best tasting fish. I hooked 1 once before (wasn't fishing for them) on my ultralight rod with 6 lb test mono. I got him to shore, but when I tried to drag him up, he broke my line and slithered back in with my lure. So I decided to TRY to catch one and take it home & eat it.
I really look forward to a new Chesapeake Chris video, always a fun adventure!
Thanx for watching & the compliment. So glad you enjoy my videos. I try to have a lot of variety & so.e humor

Thanx for watching & the kind words. It makes me happy that people enjoy my videos. You have a wonderful & safe weekend my friend
Great video. Hope you get one. Definitely one of my bucket list fish.
Thanx for watching & commenting. They are 1 of 3 bucket list fish for me...snakehead, freshwater drum & gar

I got lucky 2 years ago landing a bowfin. Things are fighters.

I guess I better handle with care if I get one. Like pickerel teeth I'm guessing.

I'm not even sure if we have Snakeheads here in Illinois !! Great video ! Stay safe!
Thanx for watching & commenting. They are considered an invasive species but I think they are predominantly found I the northeast & mid Atlantic states so far
I was hoping to see you get one they look really fun to catch! I've watched some guys in Florida catch them

Good video Chris! So what made you decide to chase a snakehead?
