Greatly appreciated!!! Your videos have shown me the ways of a truly fine sounding bass, thank you for showing me your ways, and for making my friends jealous of my amazing sounding Fender basses.
I've got a question:What is the best repair option,if i can still see some of the origignal holes, after fixing the new machines?Have you any tricks,to make the originals nearly unvisible?...because i changed my 2003 Fstamped tuners to the70'ies Shaller, and now i want to remount my Fstamped. So the holes from the Shaller-screws do not look good!!! Thx,.........ps.:Youre videos are so cool👍 Greetzs from Austria(europe😉)
Great video thanks!!! Its very usefull. Oh and Please start making your 45- 100 nickle nanos i cant stomach paying the scalpers price on ebay.I saw a few places took delivery of some sets but they were all 45-105 😭. Please elixir i need my tone and feel back. (Y'all got me hooked on your strings and nothing else feels or sounds the same!)its going on almost a year since i have been able to find a normal priced set) Help. !!!!!!!!!!!!
With the different gear ratio for added stability and upgrade in materials and machining they are nice especially the drop tunners they are fast and convenient. Also the newer fender americans have hipshot designed but fender marked tunners so even fender knows they are a upgrade. I have been playing hipshot products for over 20 years and they have never let me down. Are they necessary no but they sure do work and feel better than the originals especially on the squire's they have junk hardware for the most part.

I was wondering if some Teflon plumbers tape would take the slack out of the original tuners.🤔think I’ll give It a try on and old Squire.
Great video, I am doing this exact thing shortly, using Ultralight tuners. On Squier bass.
Did you put anything in the old screw holes to fill or seal them?
Upgrading les Paul tuners
No need to seal them
I soo want a lathe, would be amazing
What about the bushings?

Why? I've played Fender basses for 50 yrs with no tuning issues.
if it was ultra lights from Hipshot it would make sense
I mean it’s a Squier Bass the stock tuner are basically shit
weight
and like Luke said, you played Fender, this is a Squier.
