the rocks are getting even with the paint
Could of used a trash bag under it before spraying
Good morning MV Freedom :) so happy to see you guys back on utube
I understand at your income levels the YT video time vs ROI is pretty bad, but as others have stated, we are grateful and greatly appreciate your videos.
Happy 10th Birthday to Mr. Sul!!! The star of the show!
Incredible arts and crafts, but then that is exactly what we would expect from Shawn. And nice touch adding Sandy to the sign.
Nice editing, soothing music, fun to watch! Good Job!
Why do you use tank water to hose the anchor???
Why not use the water you are in?
Great job, great video! Glad you guys are back. Thank you!
I hit my outboard prop by Fingal's Cave on the west coast of Scotland... a horrible noise once heard never forgotten.
Clean your anchor with sea water and your deck brush...easy peasy
I was half expecting Shawn to pull out a solar powered light and put it above the sign! Loved the comment, “I work harder on the boat than at work.” I am with you Shawn!
So cool to see y'all livin the dream! Happy B-Day Scully!!
You two do a lot for BCs tourism. I am planning a trip there with a friend. Seeing it from the water has been amazing. Your sign was perfect!
Legend will have it that the poor cabin owner’s existence became overshadowed by your statement, “I think this is the best one here…” Well done MV Freedom.
May I suggest tip for the bosun's chair. You can add a chest harness to your rig, very simply, which will allow you to lean back and rest more comfortably and safely when you're high up. If you get some 2" seatbelt tape about a 1.3 yards long and tie a "tape knot" so that it makes a circle, then pull the circle to make an oval making sure the loop is not twisted. Once tied together, then twist the two ends in opposite directions to make the loop into a figure of 8, yes this will twist the tape, which is an effect you want. Shaun, where the tapes crosses itself, you could staple the middle together to make it more solid and less flimsy. Now, once you are sitting in your Bosun's chair, then you can put your arms through the two loops so that the loops go over your shoulders and around under your arms and bak to the chest so that the cross area of tape - with the staple - is sitting in front of you heart. Now take cross part of the tape and clip it to the carabiner just under the up-haul pulley which I noticed was free and had nothing attached to it - you can either use that free carabiner (on your set up), or a larger one to get it around the tape, remembering that the bigger the carabiner, or the more carabiners used will affect how close you sit to the pulley. Ideally, you want to be as close to the pulley as possible. Now, with this set up, you can lean back into the should harness and be more relaxed while working various parts of your job. This set up helps save your abdominal muscles by not having to continually strain to remain upright and close to the mast, in the chair. However, a larger carabiner or two carabiners will mean more slack and you will lean further back, which may be uncomfortable. Of course you may need to lean forward again to reach the mast and perform certain tasks, but if you need to fiddle with something before working back on the mast, you can lean back in a more relaxed seated position, relaxing into the chest harness. If you think you would use this set up often, and you find it comfortable to work with, you could attach a small string to one end of the loops and once your seated into the chair and are putting on the chest harness ,Elizabeth can then tie the string to the other loop across your back closing the back of the chest harness making it safer and more comfortable.
This is a simple fix that us Mountaineers have often used when doing longer prussic's up a cliff. For an explanation of prussic - google it. Fair '💨s and following 🌊's.
Happy birthday Mr Sully...
Best part of Sunday, watching a MV Freedom video drinking fellow UA-camr Dennis Collins’ Blue Island-Coffee Walk “Holy Grail” blend. Life doesn’t get much better.
What a great way to enjoy a Sunday morning with the Freedom crew ! Beautiful scenery and the sign you hung was unique and don't know how Shawn comes up with his design ideas LOL . Great video as usual and enjoy your weekend.
Because he’s “Shawn”! 😂
I’ve been through the hole in the wall…it wasn’t slack tide and to add to the “enjoyment” we had pretty low visibility with fog! Certainly memorable!
Morning MV Freedom. Happy 10th Birthday Sully.
It’s so great to wake up on a Sunday morning to watch your adventures in Gods country BC. Loved your idea of the sign. So original and colourful. Thanks for sharing your experience with us landlocked mortals. I really enjoy watching your videos. 🫡🇨🇦
Back in June, I was out visiting family and friends in Campbell River. My cousin has been a fishing guide for 51 years. I went out on the boat with him. He taught me how to fish. We were near Quadra Island. Good times.
Beautiful 'sculpture' piece, congrats!
Beautiful! Living the dream
Love the sign 😊
Great job the sign looks awesome!!
Awesome fun times thanks for sharing.
Glad to see you guys once again.
You're right... The plaque is amazing!
Was just there in Early Aug. Amazing! Saw your art work!
This winters project is adding a powerful raw water pump hose fitting at the anchor.
Awesome job on the sign!
Great video.... Glad to see you are back
Awesome adventure! Thanks for sharing:)
Thank you guys for the cabin and art...
Well done!!
Good morning and thanks again for another great video. Can’t wait to visit some of these places myself in the future.
Great video. So happy to see you guys back here with really high quality and entertaining videos. Looking forward to the next one. :)
Nice, thanks
Great trip! The artwork for the cabin turned out great, and the music in the first half was excellent.
Great video, beautiful shots!
Your videos are the BEST!! It helps me relive so many wonderful times of the past in those cruising waters. The sign was a “10”!!
Excellent job on the sign!!
Wow! That scenery is stunning and what a great video……always look forward to my Sunday’s watching your adventures! And Happy 10th birthday to Mr Sully…they are both so adorable and such sweet companions!
love the sign and by far the best
Great video. Enjoyed the wonderful scenery as always. Looking forward to your travel further north. Boating relatives in Campbell River have talked about the dangers of the rapid tides that can take a boat down. Love your knowledge of the area.
You guys rock!
Absolutely love this Video. It’s another one of your Best Ever.
Thank you!
Wow, what a trip! That is a wonderful adventure and I am dripping with envy. Big hugs to Sully on his birthday!
Thanks for the travelogue! It is great to visit places from the comfort of my boat. We have a battery operated pressure washer, that uses lake water, for cleaning our anchor. . Happy Birthday Sully!!
Great idea for a sign 👍
This area doesn’t have BC’s largest mountains but it has the largest coastal mountains.
lift the anchor off the floor then Drag the anchor around to knock the mud off, good idea!
Thanks! Love your videos.
Wow thank you, much appreciated!
Nicely done on the sign, I hope to get up that way soon and see it in person
If you see it send us a pic!
Like I've said before, I really enjoy your videos and you are the only motor yacht sailors I follow.
You guys are my heroes! Loving all of this.
Good video. I get to see BC in ways that are only available to me thanks to you and another two channels. I know how much work is needed to plan, script and edit many hours of video, so thank you again to both of you for doing them. 👍🇨🇦
Love the video!
Pretty awesome sign Sean made. I would have never thought of using the red, white and blue wire. Great video you guys!
Love your videos!
What a fabulous sign!! ❤️Excellent video too!!!
Rockin out with your Bad Selves…. 😂 Great Vid!
Awesome sign you created for the old cabin. And…one to be admired by many visitors.
You are a creative genius Shawn.
It’s the sanding that got me.
A little overboard however, well done.
NICE VLOG KIDS, BEST PART WAS THE HIGH FIVES AT THE END TO CAP OFF THE JOURNEY. CONGRATS TO SULLY ON THE DECADE.
70 degree water? Whew, that’s chilly.
Saw your “sign” on another channel….Rays Love Your RV & Boat…..when stopped at the Cabin. That’s when I knew you’d be coming out with videos again. Thanks for sharing.
Bravo!
nice scenery excellent video and a work of art from Shawn also mr sully's birthday thank you
Awesome sign 👍
Hello from Victoria BC Canada . Love the show and glad your enjoying BC. Had to pass up helping one of my brothers office buddy's sail boat move in the comming weeks since i think I might be to out of shape for the crew work on board . Also never done it before .
Ah bummer, you should do it!
Outstanding job kids! Shawn really has an artistic side Plus all of the thingamabobs needed to getter done! On top of that he eats MY favorite cereal Raisin Bran Crunch!
nice job 👊
Why not use the lake water to clean the anchor chain instead of your drinking water?
I thought you would have sea water hose for the anchor?
Your videos are total entertainment….thank you!!
As I’ve said before, National Geographic quality. Excellente 👍
Thank you, huge compliment!
Liked watching your preparations to leave. Wondered if you have a written checklist for this and other portions of your trips.
No just a mental checklist...for now!
Best sign!
That is The Best Sign there, no question 🤩
One of the best, if not........
They are the cutest little doggos
Great Vlog guys have you ever watch Sailing Venture around the West coast of Canada
You guys seem to be particular about keeping things clean. Is that part of keeping the boat in good condition and "sea worthy" or is it just your personal choice? Keep up the great videos. These are fun to watch. Enjoy seeing the spectacular scenery.
❤️the Art 👏👏👏🥰
Hey make sure Shawn has a safety on his harness going up the rig! Looked like maybe he was just attached to the snap shackle? We hit a lot of the places you guys hit on our Seasport this summer, so fun!
Would it be possible to hook up a salt water wash down pump specifically for your anchor to save fresh water
Happy Birthday Mr. Sully; you probably don't know it, but you are one lucky dog! Interesting that the diesel exhaust anchors are failing. Maybe the length along the mast exacerbates the vibration. Do all Nordhaven's have the extended exhaust pipe? Loved the video, especially arial footage and music. Thanks for sharing the tidal current through those narrow channels. I recall that was always something to consider when motor-sailing up in those parts. Do you ever cook fresh caught fish or crab from those waters? Hunt mushrooms on land?
Fun!
HB Mr. Sully!
Ouch! The dinghy vs. rock hit! BTDT!!!!
I like Mr Sully
The bar is raised, now they all have to get back and at color to their signs.
Top notch sign. In true Shawn competitive style. 😂
I would imagine that most of the anchorages are quite deep. How much chain do you have onboard and how much do you put out on average?
Wow Sean, that’s just brilliant ❤, you’re not just cute 🥰
The guy is a genius 😂
Love your channel. My question is why not use seawater for anchor cleaning?
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
something tells me, not only did Shawn get an "a" in Arts and Crafts, but he may "possibly" have been an overachiever, too!
Should've painted the letters in white, so it wood standout!
And the numbers
