This was an amazingly beautiful segment. I loved everything about it and who can’t love seeing bears in their own natural environment. Magnificent. I look forward to more.
OMG! You guys knocked it out of the park with this video. Absolutely awesome job shooting the video! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your adventures with us. ❤
I just learned on a Regent Alaska cruise from the onboard enrichment lecture that the way you tell male and female Grizzlies apart is this: Females will stop and assume a tripod- like position to poop and pee. Males just let it all go as they walk or run along- not bothering with the niceties of choosing a spot, or caring whether it gets all over them.
Boy, you two continue to display our Beautiful BC and Canada to the world. Thank you. Is Tourism BC reimbursing you? If not, they should be. You also should be made “Honorary Canadians”, Pancakes with Maple Syrup! Only thing missing was that Maple Bacon we all love eh! Keep up the excellent videos, they are the best.
What an incredible video- wonderful scenery and wildlife. So many are fortunate to see a grizzly in their lifetime. Thank you for sharing your incredible experience.
Great job. This is probably the best video you have produced. Scenery is spectacular, the filming and editing so good. Fun to see the killer whale swimming along in front of your yacht. Nice bear footage without being shaky. Thanks for sharing.
Breathtaking views of nature and its Devine majesty - the grizzlies were show casing THIER home - the vast difference in speed from tides moving Freedom was 😮 and has to be fun experience- Always a big Thanx 👍
Great to catch up on your summer cruising! Just returned a week ago from an Alaska cruise, our third trip, Vancouver to Whitter. Evening weather out of Vancouver Northbound was beautiful, by Sunday morning on was overcast, low ceiling, foggy, raining and windy. Could not dock or anchor in Ketchikan do to blowing 40kts. Glacier Bay, visibility was just enough to see the face of the Margeire Glacier. All in all it was still a great trip, we will be back!
As someone that lives on the north shore of Vancouver, I love the being able to experience these beautiful places in my backyard through your lens. You have a great voice for narration. Also as a fellow pancake enthusiast - I came across a tip recently, when using a non-stick pan, don't add any additional oil to the pan as there is already oil in the pancake mixture, it will cook and brown better without the crusty edge.
Grizzly Bears are truly a Magnificent animal. The top of the Food Chain for sure. Spending summers at our family cabin on Priest Lake in Northern Idaho bear encounters were not uncommon. Black bear mostly .We rode our dirt bikes on logging roads and spent alot of time picking huckleberrys. Once with my mom a Grizzly come out of the trees into the clearing we were picking berries. I was 17. This bear was massive. Way bigger than the black bears we so often dealt with at our cabin. My mom looked at me and motioned to our Yamaha's. We slowly got back on our bikes. The big Griz didn't seem to be interested in us at all. When we started our bikes he raised up a bit and gave us the LOOK...WE slowly motored away and never looked back. The local forest Rangers told us the Black bear is more likely to be aggressive. We found that out when our German Shepherd was swatted and went flying 10 feet through the air one summer.
You guys have the best content on a boat in the Pacific Northwest! I live in Vancouver and grew up in Pender Harbour and Desolation Sound in the summer. You bring back so many good memories. Keep up the great content.
You were "surfing" the tide as it went out. From Campbell River the tides flow either north or south since that is where the tides meet. All that water from between there & the mainland has to go somewhere & that rip at the end was the transition from the tide you caught earlier in the day.
Another beautiful video. Love the wildlife. I boat on Lake of the Woods and have seen a bear and some moose swimming. Seeing the closeups of the grizzlies - WOW!!
Have you also spotted any Ghost Bears? ( Spirit Bears being the real name for them ) Just North of Bella Coola in the Spirit Bear Park, they are a sub species of the brown bear and are only found in / near said park.
Hey yun's are truly living life as it was meant to be!!! Shawn when are you going to release the Cook Book ? Elizabeth where did you get those gun's? Love the channel thanks to the both of you for taking us along !!
OMG- Your drone shots are amazing! Your cameras in general are fabulous, but this episode is highlighting the stunning views like no other. The doggos are also fantastic, as usual. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Beautiful. Like others already mentioned, very sad you chose to deface the rock with spray paint. Ironic that Americans are destroying others property while beating their chest about their FREEEEEDOMMMMM. Do better.
Is there any concern of a bear swimming out to your boat on Anchorage and climbing up the swim platform and onto your boat? They are extremely powerful and can easily pull themselves up a board
The speed drop when you crossed the depth ledge was amazing.
Thanks for taking us along!

You guys have the best content on a boat in the Pacific Northwest! I live in Vancouver and grew up in Pender Harbour and Desolation Sound in the summer. You bring back so many good memories. Keep up the great content.
AWESOME. You guys are getting close to where they filmed Alone, the reality show.
The seasons we’ve seen were filmed on the NW side of Vancouver Island…heading there soon!
I love it when you get an escort swimming along with you, it’s pretty magical
