I'm so stupid. I was watching the wrong building for half the video lmfao.
you're not alone!
The first time I watched I did the same. -kmr
same
Me not even the building - the part construction 😂
Honest mistake, as the building to watch didn't exist at the beginning of the vid 😅- Das
I just realized how exposed 28 was to the elements and yet it still almost did perfectly
Not only is this a time-lapse of the mega bay, but also the Star Factory expansion! Amazing work ❤
Amazing timelapse you guys! That must have been a tedious job to create. The expansion just happens at rocket speed!
Who had the bright idea to combine a relaxing time lapse video with techno rave music... How nice...
Documenting history. Kudos to whoever thought of keeping a camera in the same position to record this long term time lapse video.
Props to the editor, this must have taken a load of work! Great job!
Thomas H is a rock star. - Das
Something that really surprised me was just how hard working with 70,000+ images was. File operations just aren't designed to work well with such quantities so it's soooo slow. After I got those sorted everything felt comparatively easy lol!
@@thomashayden804 At least you learnt something new, handling this amount of data! Great work, mate!
@@thomashayden804Crazy respect for your being able to juggle that much content. Don't take personal my criticism about mixing in the vehicle movements. I'm just some rando on the internet, after all. 🙂 Cheers.
@@thomashayden804I can’t fathom how much work that was. I imagine building the Mega Bay was easier than documenting it this way!!! Beautifully done. 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤😮😮😮
Wow this program is moving so fast!
Yeah right? It's crazy how they built this bay in 10 minutes!
These long time lapses are fabulous.
Tuned in for the MB2 build and got bonus ship and booster movements to boot. Well done lads.
Vegetation didn't change a lot withing this period of time. Thank you for the video!
Best vid you'll watch this month.....if you're into construction and rocket bays :D
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make the same kind of video about:
1. Starfactory
2. Launch Site
3. the whole Starbase
and keep the music, it's great :)
haha yeah, depends if they had static cameras for that long
@@bobthegreat297 doesn't have to be the same camera, the same angle... - just, timelapse of progress
LOVE well constructed time-lapse views. Well done !
Bravo!
That was just cool! Thank you, NSF!
Epic timelapse, so much footage to go through. Thanks NSF team.
Love the sound track with this 🤓!
Great improvement 👍!
Go Team NSF !!!
Such a cool watch! Can’t waits for starfactory and star offices timelapses
Awesome, NSF still blows me way all the time.
Progress is looking Great!!! NasaSpaceFlight, Amazing foresight to take a timelapse of MB2 being built!
I thought about this couple weeks ago and was wondering when this video would appear. Thank you for your tireless and patient dedication.
Great timelapsed video NSF, Thank you!!
Wow, excellent job, thanks.
Nice work boys and gals.
this is great! love seeing the progress they've made over such a short period of time
WOW!! Incredible!!
Brilliant video! Amazing to see the transformation at Starbase! Who remembers April 12 1981 and the launch of STS1 from KSC? I was there with a group from the UK!
Very Cool!
It would be very cool to see a 1 frame per day time-lapse from this shot (and others too) starting about 5 years ago.
Very cool!
Would be good to see one of these for each 12 month period for both the production site and the launch site, maybe side by side. At least for the next few years of excitement.
For the first few minutes I was thinking "why do they keep building it up and tearing it down again?" 🤣
"Damn, it's off by a few millimeters. Tear it down and start over, Ricky!"
Love this
A LOT more is happening than just MEGABAY 2!
this footage will probably be used by people making a documentary on the early stages of starship development. best part is we get to experience it first hand our selves
great
Awesome, was wondering when this will be released
Can not wight to see the StarBase time laps clip of the last 5 years
Now that be just amazing 😊
Enjoyed the Video, keep up the awesome contend👍
More.... More!!!❤
Nice. Love it!
Over a million subscribers? Since when? Congrats for all the hard work
Nice!
great video thank you
great!!
Awesome video - history is made, focused on one important “moment”. Best part to me was that we always had a Ship and a Booster in view to judge height/progress with. Nice of SpaceX to be so cooperative wasn’t it!
It would be cool if we could get one of Star Factory too, but progress is being made in so many different areas at once I imagine it might be virtually impossible to do.
Epic
Fantastic timelapse video where is the music from made the video better keep up the great work
What's up with the starting music😂❤❤. It ws good
wonderful :)
Great video! There is so much to see! Only comment I have is that first piece of music being complete earrape....😢
They should build a bridge between the megabays from top to top, walking across that would get the pulse racing 😂
Not sure I could bring myself to walk across that, as much as I trust the SpaceX engineering teams!
FINALLY!!!
Time traveling is real!
I can't believe it took that long to build the mega bay. It doesn't seem like a complex building. The Star Factory is going up much faster.
Nice! now make a 60 seconds shorts where you cut out everything where nothing is happening on the megabay 🙂
Busy place.
😍♥

Con música es otra cosa. Para cambiar un poco el bip bip de las maquinas

so what's the thrust to weight ratio of starship now? last i heard it was around 1.45, but we all know the rocket's getting heavier and the engine stronger, is it still 1.45? and what were the space shuttle and saturn V? IIRC the space shuttle was also around 1.45 and saturn V was around 1.2 (i'm talking about liftoff for all of them), i tried googling "thrust to weight ratio of rockets" and they gave me thurst to weight ratio of ENGINES, i didn't put ENGINES i put ROCKETS, man google just gets worse every day while the AI gets better
Nice troll. I didnt realize I was watching ancient footage til I noticed just one high bay and the mid bay.
What exactly did you think we meant by "build timelapse" and "9 months in 10 minutes"? - Das
Oh f I was looking at the wrong thing
I started that way and then had to restart the video when I realized I was focused on the wrong thing lol
@@DebraJean196 I was already practically done already so I didn’t feel like watching it again lol
That was kind of hard to follow.I'd read where my booster 11 was moving this and I go to look over there and it will already be gone because it was too late.I was too late but it wasn't interesting to see that building built-in not 10 months and 9 months.I guess not ten
MUTED....music was painfully bad. Great footage, though!
Fourth
First
Post something more interesting to justify your first lol
Im not the only person to read that as "mega gay" right?
RIGHT?!?!
I think you are the only one :/
Don't understand why all the vehicle movements are included in a MagaBay 2 construction timelapse.
Distracting; interrupt the flow; not the advertised point of the video. Shrug.
Love that you've got the content to put this together ... just not a fan of this particular edit. Guess I can't love //everything// from NSF. Most everything is enough for me. 😀
The alternative was to skip huge sections where there wasn't much visually happening with MB2, which broke up the flow even more and made ot rather boring. We.went through quite a few versions of the vid before we found the best balance.
We also removed most nights, because 270 flashes between dark and light was really not fun to watch at high speed.
Das
@@NASASpaceflight Obviously, editorial discretion is completely up to y'all ... but my counter is viewers can never be bored by the content you leave on the cutting room floor. If a given stretch of footage isn't visually interesting (because nothing was visibly progressing with the MegaBay) and isn't essential to telling the story, there's no harm in leaving it out.
To me, the vehicles randomly moving around aren't essential to the story of how MegaBay 2 was assembled ... yet the footage is undeniably amazing it its own way (check out all these rockets as big as buildings, yo!) ... part of a uniquely different story that 'just happened' to be caught in the same time-lapse.
Undoubtedly, teams will someday sort through //all// of NSF's footage to tell the "definitive" stories of these first steps humanity took (alongside a public highway, no less) to build the first infrastructure and systems enabling earth life to become multi-planetary ... but how lucky have we all been to see it unfold in real time thanks to your efforts?
Thanks to you lot, I know StarBase better than my own hometown ... and I've never been within 1,500 miles of the place.
It is a shame that so much of the major assembly took place at night, but I accept your reason for omitting it. In most all cases, strobing video no es bueno.
Yeah, the strobing effect was tough to work around. You'd think it'd be cool like a scene from "The Time Machine" but... definitely not. 😅 - Das
@@NASASpaceflight 😀
Poor S27. It was ruthlessly scrapped and nobody cared! Well I care! Who do you think you are casting S27 to the side like that!? I won't stand idly by while S27 faces such injustice! #StopS27Hate #S27fanclub
Quite possibly the most annoying music I’ve ever heard…. Sorry, but I prefer the natural sounds that accompanied these videos.
Not good - background music is subjective and that was unwatchable. You may like the music, very few will like it.
So far, a significantlt higher number of folks are posting that they like the music vs dislike it. It's ok that it's not for you, but a lot of folks don't agree. - Das
@@NASASpaceflightI love the music myself. Much prefer it over the metal stuff you were playing on live streams when commentators were taking a break. I don’t need obnoxious metal music at 2AM central time while killing time waiting for a launch delay to end. Keep it peaceful please! And Hi Das, love your “on scene” stuff at different camera setup locations!
Thanks,, I have a lot of fun! - Das!
