It’s not only is her man understanding she also does the work ! Looking within is so BIG . Deflecting is so easy to do as a borderline person . ( I don’t have BPD ) but I have had to leave my man cuz he was BPD and I felt a mix of NPD . Couldn’t look within at all .
Your boyfriend is AWESOME!!! I hope you realize how blessed you are to have a partner that can co-regulate with you. I am always encouraging couples to work on healing their wounds TOGETHER and work on co-regulating with each other. I'm a therapist by the way and my daughter has BPD. She is still very much in denial about it and I am hoping that she will come to a realization that this is a part of her diagnosis along with anxiety. I'm encouraging her to get into a DBT group. This video was very informative and helpful for me.
I just got out of a relationship with a BPD woman and your relationship is so inspiring. So happy for you. She’s so brave and strong to take her situation so seriously. I’m hurting now and trying to repiece myself after what I went through. Loved her so very very much but I didn’t get the love in return 😢 and I became the “problem”
I love Brian's shirt that supports you " Emotional Human Support",. I like how you answered all these questions from other people. You guys have learned how to communicate with each other so well now. You are in control of your BPD is a great thing that you said. I love how you have learned to deal with your BPD over time. You are great at dealing with it now.
9:30 thats so helpful to hear because i felt disrespectet by the way my partner (diagnosed bpd) talked to me when triggered but couldn't really put things together in my mind and doubted if i might be in the wrong to feel that way. Thank you both so much!!! ❤
**Self awareness 100%%% **Communication is key. Bpd or not **And un communicated expectations on someone will create resentment. Also, if you have expectations, make sure you communicate your needs and how you want things to turn out. But also you have to respect the fact things might not turn out the way you want. The other person has a choice regardless. You are not in control of the other person. Great knowledge, my therphist told me alot of this!! Splitting is real. Knowing what you need in a relationship is very important and the whole knowing how your partner handles it is very important as well ! I really loved this video ♡♡
They’re blessed to have each other !!! Not one or the other it’s a beautiful love they have ! I have bpd and have suffered for years and love how you explain it to the t your amazing
Your content has been my safe space for so many years! You are amazing, and so is Brian 🤍🤍 Thank you so much for bringing awareness, and bringing love and hope instead, helping to end the stigma. June 6th will be one year from the day that my BPD almost took my life away from me. I will never stop coming back to your channel. Keep at it babes, and don't forget to care for you in the process 🤍
I was the one who asked the second to last question and I just wanted to thank you for such a warm, understanding and great answer! ❤❤ It helped me a lot!!
Here's my problem. I'm am uber aware of people's reactions or lack thereof. I have many times asked for an outside opinion, but here's the issue. I have major trust issues, and they get worse when I actually end up being right about someone doing things behind my back. I want so much to not be right and be able to work on myself reflection, but damn if my spidey sense isn't on point a lot of the time. Arrr.
Thanks for being so thoughtful both of you and for having courage as well. Words words more words. Infinite gratitude. This video seriously came at the right time. I have no energy but love you guys. ❤❤ watched the whole thing. This work you’re doing is literally helping improve my life.
im so glad youre getting a therapist soon, i think that is vital to your healing and growth! once i realized i have severe ADHD i was able to get help for why i had such a hard time concentrating! (obviously everyone is different, but its really important to see a professional so they can help you figure out tools to help you with consistency and self discipline, etc) for me, I discipline was not instilled in me so it was a lot harder to focus and finish things on a timeline!
The girl I met three months ago has bpd, anxiety, ADHD, and depression. She pushes me away a lot but she comes back into the picture. Lately she is coping with her anger & depression with drugs (ecstasy, cocaine, whippets, acid). She is seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist but I don’t think she is getting better. The meds she is on seem to be futile. Her splitting episodes can get nasty. She puts me down a lot but after a day or two she apologizes for her actions. I’m doing all I can to support her. Sometimes I feel like it’s hopeless. What can I do to keep her in my life? She is 37 and I’m 45 btw. Do you think she needs a ton of work to be done mentally? I don’t know who else to go to. Any advice will be helpful. Thank you
For me what helps the most is realising that I can not make others happy, if I am not taking vare of myself. Because only by recharging my own batteries I have anything left to give to those around me.
Yeah no one takes any time to understand It’s easier for them all to just be judgmental and “ better “ than you. I’m 55 btw. Age does NOT mean someone is smarter.
Bryan seems really understanding, that can be rare these days!!
true!!!

I guess not all men are the same
We're kinda different.

Question: how do ya'll stay consistent at your jobs? I struggle with this immensely. Getting a therapist soon!

I have 4 kids and my life is very busy. I do not feel like I deserve leisure time and have no hobbies. Do you have any advice on increasing self worth

Sarah everyone deserves time for themselves. Let me ask you this, why do you think you do not deserve time for yourself?
You DO deserve leisure time Sarah!
Thank you
do you mean having children?
@@SammyGrimm Yes :)
