I commute every day to work and along with that it being magnetic makes it perfect in the garage when wrenching or even just around the house when working and needing info.
They never have really, just certain old media and the drives/readers for that media. Magnets can damage old magnetic media like tapes/drives, floppy disks/drives, and mechanical hard-drives (not flash/SSD). A magnet on your phone case will screw up the magnetometer though so for example compass apps won't work right. Some gyros can be affected by strong magnetic fields too so the sensors for when you tilt your phone may not work right. Though it shouldn't affect the accelerometer so position sensing will work normally (eg. screen rotation sensing).
Definitely one of the coolest setups.

I would use mine as a filming tool. That tripod mount is cool.
That’s cool
I would use it on my bike for navigation. Whenever my phone acts up I always gotta pull over and fix it which is annoying.
I would use it for my bike because I don't have a phone and it would be great for work
What ever happened to powerful magnets killing electronics? Lol

I would use it as a phone Mount for my Bike because my tank-bag caused scratches to IT :/
