I Visited MEDINA, SAUDI ARABIA, as a Non Muslim 🇸🇦 المدينة

  • Medina is the second Holiest city in Islam after Mecca. It's here where the Prophet Muhammad lived and died. Millions of Pilgrims flood to both Mecca and Medina every year.
Whilst touring Saudi Arabia at the beginning of 2020, I passed Medina on my way to Al Ula from Jeddah. Having been told by various sources it was okay for me to roam around the city (but avoid entering the Prophet's Mosque), I decided to take the opportunity to explore. Traditionally, non Muslims have been forbidden from entering Mecca (and this is still the case) but for Medina there is no such enforcement of this rule, and all visitors are welcomed.

It is unfortunate that the people who need to see a video, like this, depicting Muslims (especially from Saudi) just living their lives as we do (with cultural differences) and that they are not to be feared. Quite the contrary. Thank you for giving us a peek into such a highly protected site. The view of the minarets dominating the sky was stunningly beautiful.

Non Muslims can enter the Prophet's mosque, they used to enter in the time of the prophet, to learn about Islam, just go inside, it is fine

In my city Paranaguá Brazil there is a large Syrian and Lebanese Muslim community and there is a medium-sized Mosque. I always had friends at school and Muslim neighbors even playing football. We have never had any problems with Catholics, Protestants and Muslims here in my region. We are all friends here. Peace for all 🇧🇷🇱🇧🇸🇦🇸🇾

Dear brother, you could have walked in the outer area of the masjid, in the haram, where there are floor tiles, but not in the interior where there are carpets. You stopped way too early, ohh goodness, this just shows how respectful you were. 😍

First, welcome to Saudi Arabia friend. Second, it is allowed for non-muslims to visit the 2 holy cities for a period if that is for a good cause, for example, if someone want to learn about Islam or if there is an expert in one field that was needed in the city he is allowed to visit the city and many other examples. Lastly, Women covering their faces is not a cultural thing. It is (Fiqih) different opinion among Islamic scholars about if that is considered a part of the Mandatory hijab or it is not a mandatory part. But there is a consensus among Islamic scholars that (covering the face is better)

In fact, I am very jealous of Muslims who can live in the holy lands in Islam, because these holy lands are full of grace from Allah😌😌😌

Medina and Mecca are the most beautiful, calm and holy city in the worlds. I was there 2017 for hadji I loved it I was to go back 2020 then COVID strike I’m hoping to go next year insha ‘Allah. May Allah (swt) make it easy for every Muslim to visit. Ameen. Watching your video I get emotional with tears. I love Medina so much I wised I can stay at mosque forever.

Very tastefully done, Jason. I did the hajj in 2013 and loved Medina. I found it very calm and peaceful compared to Mecca. Many people are afraid to travel to KSA, primarily due to ignorance and fear. Your Vlogs help dispel these anxieties. Well done.

I love his level of appreciation towards Madina, its history and its importance for us Muslims. He is so respectable. May his journey of exploring God's Earth be protected and blessed 💚
