Nice to see you back Sheety. Thought you'd gone off the radar. You must be one really fit dude and appreciate the wonderful scenic moments you capture. Was in Dunbar Scotland a while back and visited John Muir's house, a simple abode in the main street with American flags outside. Thanks again from here in Australia.
waltavoc haha thanks for your comment! Would love to visit John Muir’s house - sounds amazing! I think the closest I’ll get to any structure with his name on it will be the John Muir hut along the JMT😉
Cool! First time I’ve seen one of your videos hiking somewhere I’ve been. Your videos are an inspiration for me to get out there. I just checked and the same day you started in Yosemite valley I was hiking Upper Yosemite Falls.
Those metal signs were there in 1972 when I hiked through there in early June, lottsa snow. That ascent is pretty steep and long, hiking up out of the Valley. Cathedral Peak was my first mountain summit oh so long ago. Nice video, brings back memories. Missed your lovely wife, maybe next time.
Great video. Really enjoy all of your journeys. I live about 2 hours from Yosemite, so when the park is opened again and it's safe, I plan on hiking the Mist to Vernal and Nevada Falls, then back down the JMT. Hikes after that will be all over Tuolumne Meadows, since I've never been there. Really would like to fly fish the Lyell Fork and hike the canyon, as well. Can't wait. Where was your water source and did you filter it or boil? Also, what type of food did you bring such as snacks, etc.? Thanks!
Beautiful video! From the reflection it looked like you were hand holding a GoPro? I’ll be starting my NOBO JMT late August thru September and using my Sony for stills and maybe 4K. Anyway...sub’ed....thanks!
I thought you were required to stay at little Yosemite valley your first night. Also, the hiker bus says it’s not running in 2018. Did you end up getting a ride back to the valley? I’m going up pretty soon
Sheety, another well done video! Speaking on behalf of humanity, we enjoy your commentary and the sounds of nature. Even your footsteps! Please consider losing the music. Music is so personal-many different styles and tastes. Keep up the good work and see you on the trail.
Normally I love the videos you put out, but the teal/orange color grade you've put on this video just completely ruins what are usually amazing views. Please don't follow that awful color grading trend.
So, I’m watching your video, listening intently on your narration; you narrate well. Then... the most annoying music, ever... I simply cannot watch anymore.
Getting ready to this and more in August! Thanks for pumping me up and keeping me inspired while the gyms are shut down.
Nice fix as I'm jonesing to get back up there. Looks like a great short trip. Beautiful shots.
Catherine Gregory It’s a great time of year in the Sierras! Too bad about the current fires and air quality.
I did the same section of the jmt a month ago. I can’t stop thinking about how beautiful it all was!
2:40 the way the aspen trees seemed to change color in the time lapse was really cool to see.
Another great video. Loved the music too! Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. Can't wait to catch the other new videos!
Thank you!
Love your video! I'm pretty certain that's Mt. Clark at 8:50 :)
Lots of water flowing. Great video, as usual.
wherefairsoda thanks!
You're the reason I am doing Devil's Postpile to Yosemite Valley starting Monday. Thanks for the inspiration and greetings from Germany ;)
Benedikt Lohmann wow! That’s nice to hear, thank you! Enjoy your adventure!!

Martin T thats what it’s all about! Get out there and get it! Happy trails!

Brian Smith thanks, Brian!
Lovely places. Very beautiful video images
You're really getting good at this. Just sub'd. Keep up the great work.
David Bock thanks!

awesome bro
Awesome video man! Just got my permit to do the reverse in August! Any general tips?
Awesome! Start early to avoid the heat, drink more water than you think you need and have fun🤠
What a great hike. Thank you for posting. What was the pack that you were carrying? God bless. John
snaponjohn100 thanks! Sporting a dueter 65+...a common pack found at REI.
Beautiful video! From the reflection it looked like you were hand holding a GoPro?

Anyway...sub’ed....thanks!
Lance Takata Yes sir, GoPro was used quite a bit! Enjoy your adventure - hoping the fires are out soon.
Do we need permit to do the backpacking on JMT? How to obtain that?
Raji Varghese yes, through the Yosemite permit system.
I thought you were required to stay at little Yosemite valley your first night. Also, the hiker bus says it’s not running in 2018. Did you end up getting a ride back to the valley? I’m going up pretty soon
Andreas Christodoulou Sunrise Lake pass thru permit. The Yosemite Lodge “hiker bus” is running...may have modified hours during the week.
Sheety33 thanks happy trails
Too bad about the stressful music though! Why is that necessary?!

Beautiful video... terrible music. The sounds of nature would be better
I have to agree.

Jason Forester I agree - tried something different here and prefer normal color / shading adjustments. Thanks for your comment.
