Is there a soft top conversation of this kit.

So close to the end, it's been one of the best models I've ever had the opportunity to build. For a free subscription too, not one complaint! Thanks again DeAgostini :)

I have only one gripe with this otherwise splendid model build, why no carpeting. They give us leather seats but only plastic simulation of carpets. I have an 1/18th scale E type with real carpets. Would have been the icing on the cake.

I am currently building this model ( as at 26 Oct 2019) and feel a little let down. I am at Issue 76. It is fair quality, not great. Most of the parts need fettling to remove mould marks, joint marks and repainting after fettling.
The fit of the parts is good though. So far.
It is a very expensive way of building a model and will definitely be my first and last model from De Agostini. It is a 100 issue build and each issue costs ZAR 150 here in South Africa so that equals ZAR 15000 at completion.
The screwdriver in the model is rubbish as are the tweezers. I used my own modelling tools mainly Tamiya. Often the screws are difficult to turn and when you apply pressure on the screwdriver it strips the head of the cross head screws.
However I am hoping the end product will justify the cost.
The E Type that this model is based on has always been one of my favourite cars especially in this colour.
