For those of you who are new to the channel, this video has been heavily edited and the volume has been lowered to avoid Copyright/Content ID.
know you guys got a lot on your plate and i love seeing the channel grow! if possible react to these new cats, they're a huge hip hop group (around 16 members) they do everything artistic from sound engineers to producers to music video directors in house. they're being described as more of a collective. BROCKHAMPTON - HEAT. thanks!
Lost In Vegas can you please react to
Bugus "Phelps" (prod by Russ)
Lost In Vegas can you please do a reaction to ab soul's threatening nature please?
Can you brothers do a reaction to ab soul's threatening nature please?
Lost In Vegas y'all gotta do The Game 300 bars and runnin 15 minutes diss
Girlfriend watched the video for this song recently, her reaction was "the singer looks like an older version of the drummer from Nirvana" I just laughed and walked away
Hilarious man! At least she recognized him LOL
Yes the singer is the drummer from Nirvana
"[“Learn to Fly” is] about the search for some sort of inspiration, the search for signs of life that will make you feel alive." - Dave Grohl
In Italy a small town converged with about 1000 singers and musicians played this song live as an invitation to the Foo Foo fighters to come and play. Check them out. "The Rockin 1000!" and the foo foo fighters did.
Foo Fighters - The Pretender one of the best song for me do that please
Yes, the pretender please!
Don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but the drummer here, Taylor Hawkins, was also drummer on "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette.
Taylor was not a member of Alanis’ recording band.
Everlong by Foo Fighters yo!!
INAUD 43 I don't wanna sound rude, but Learn To Fly is mainstream also.
Mainstream doesnt necessarily equal shit...
I think its actually better acoustic.
Acoustic
Acoustic!!!
I grew up listening to Nivana so Foo Fighters is just natural for me to listen to. My take on this song is he's saying to someone, "look what i did in the past didn't work so let's find a new direction and try again, I'm ok I'm still alive but let's find a new direction to go because the last idea was just foolish." But that's just my take on it.
I just discovered your channel tonight. Even though it's obviously not your preferred genre i like that you can appreciate it and still get into it. That's great. Or as you say "that's fire!" Lol great job guys :)
This is what you need to understand about the first album. EVERYTHING was played by Dave Grohl. This entire soundscape you're listening to, that is just one person and he did this to get over the
death of Curt Cobain.
3rd album not 1st
Mark Lee 1st album. He did everything and didn’t even have a band until the label wanted to sign him. Listen to a few interviews he tells the story in more than one interview
@@oldmanballer5088 Yes, but *this* is from the 3rd album, and not the 1st.
@@bobthebear1246 2nd album
I love how you guys admit when you've seen heard the song and not fake your reaction
Yes indeed! We also just started adding reaction/review in the title of our vids for songs that we've heard before to give everyone a bit more transparency. Thanks for watching!
@@LostInVegas keeping it real
One of the best rock songs ever written. Great lyrics and musicianship.
Just flunx your channel and I love it your critiques are spot-on I'm actually a trained vocalist so your descriptions of certain voices and how they sound is spot-on and I appreciate that oftentimes you find in UA-cam videos people some things up in such a way that it oversimplifies what it actually takes to sing that way and you guys actually notice and appreciate it not to mention I'm also an instrumentalist so is my girlfriend we both appreciate how you notice the talent and skill it takes to play a musical instrument
Nirvana - In Bloom
The Beatles - In My Life
Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child
Love y'all's videos! Always go back and watch all your videos over and over. And glad to see you do a reaction video to my favorite band. Much love to yall
All right guys. This is the fifth one of your videos I've seen. I'm all in. This is great. I love it. Thanks
David Grohl was the drummer for Nirvana he formed this group after Kurt Cobain's suicide.... Now listen to the song.
MrJimijoe he has so many songs about Kurt and how he misses him.
MrJimijoe Yep... You nailed it. I thinl this is his take on getting back into the music game after Kurt's death.
You guys miss everything dave ghrol says. It has nothing to do with kurt. Smh get over it.
Not really, a lot of people think My Hero is about Kurt Cobain but it's pretty obvious it's not if you actually listen to the lyrics and he's even said before that it's just about ordinary people who have influenced him throughout his life.
MrJimijoe nailed it. Pretty much what I was going to say. It’s about having faith issues after a terrible loss.
I love that you guys are covering other genre's! Most definitely subbing after this one. Foot fighters are legit as hell. Don't stop doing what your doing guys. Cheers!
Also if you guys could react to Mayday "Short Cuts and Dead Ends" that would be amazing
Thank you! We appreciate the support!
This band. This effin' band is my heart! I've been following the Foo since '98. I saw them in St. Louis for the first time in '00! They just keep getting better!!!
I saw The Foo Fighters and The Black Keys in Belfast, Northern Ireland, a few years back. There is NOTHING like listening to them live. Grohl is a showman and will be there come hell or high water. He's performed to the end even when breaking his leg. He's one of the most charitable people too. He's been through quite a bit, like many of us. Everlong and Best of You are also very emotional types of songs of his. I love Foo Fighters ... great review of the song.
Zeppelin guys. Zeppelin
Man, it's not like they live under a rock. They'd have to do some deep tracks to avoid something they've already heard.
Except in another video we found out they didn't know Kashmir, which is one of the most recognizable zeppelin songs, so idk.
I thought they tried to do some Led Zeppelin earlier but the video got canned because of Led Zeppelin's management company. idk.
If they can't do Zeppelin, they could always do Greta van Fleet or Rival Sons. Ha.
blackarksword PLEASE ZEPPELIN!! Any song other than Stairway to Heaven.
You guys make me analyze lyrics a little more when I'm listening to music since I started watching your videos. You guys are awesome.
You guys need to check out The Doors. They were back in the 60's and were 30yrs ahead of their time. The Keyboardist was a absolute animal! The singers voice will carve into your soul! Hands down my favorite band of all time.
Yep...another solid tune guys. I appreciate the way you take things seriously while still being lighthearted and have a good sense of humor. Take care. Peace.
Yeah! FOO FIGHTERS 👌
And yes the frontman is Dave grohl, was also the drummer for Nirvana
You have to listen the version played by 1.000 musicians inviting the Foo Fighters to come play to they
yes, that was awesome!!
I have that saved on my computer. When I need it, it is there.
That's what I just typed!
The lead singer in this (Dave Grohl) is actually playing everything in this song. Hes playing the drums, guitar, keyboard, all recorded separately to make one song. He is literally a "one-man-band".
The lead singer of foofighters was the drummer in NIRVANA in the 90's.
The drummer of FF is the lead singers brother🤪😆
I didn't know this until my mid 20's. How could I have not known? The whole time growing up in the 90's!!!
Being a huge music fan, growing up on MTV and VH1... I watched IT. ALL.
Everything. I love all different types of music.
Too Much music to be had and loved!
Rump shaker (rex and effects) was one of my favorites growing up with thousands of others!
The genius of the Foo Fighters (at least their early stuff) is that they made feel-good rock music that was simultaneously melancholy. Same with 80s dance music (Smiths, New Order, etc)--genius: sad dance music.
Awww. Wow. It's not No way back but, you guys are great. Enjoy your day. And No way back foo fighters when you get a chance.😄😄😄
Thanks.
Thank you!!
Alisha Holder NO MORE TEARS - ozzy osbourne
The best!! My boys the Foo Fighters. Saw them at Wrigley a few months ago. Foo forever!!!
Always like this song. Saw them in 1995 on their debut album tour. Got the tour t-shirt too!
One of the biggest rock bands of all time. Great video guys. Thanks!
I'm a old guy (55) and this is one of my favorite songs it's on my play list .
Happy New Year George & Ryan! How ya livin'? I just discovered your channel when your REACTION to Iron Maiden's 'Hallowed Be Thy Name' came through on my feed on FB. And to be perfectly honest...I just wanted to see how 2 random AA guys would react to one of my favorite songs AND you loved it! I then proceeded to watch your reactions to several other Metal songs & it ended up being an 'all night affair'. As a life long Metalhead..it was so refreshing to witness a couple of Rap lovers discover the wonders of Metal. You were fair & impartial in your critiques & I appreciate that so much! Thank You!! I have a rather obscure request that no other person will ask you to REVIEW but I know that you'll both love it! Surely you're both familiar with Thin Lizzy..a phenomenal rock band from the 70s. Listen to 'Emerald' off the Jailbreak LP. The twin guitar solo at the end is BEYOND MIND BLOWING!!! I'd love to hear your opinions on that particular song if you are so inclined. Thanks for giving Metal a chance guys. Some of it is pretty 'out there' I'll admit but so much of it is BRILLIANT! I wish you both the best with Lost in Vegas...I hope the show continues to grow in popularity.
Sincerely,
Kelli C.
Austin,Tx
The foo fighters are a awesome band, one of my favorite songs is (there goes my hero )! I think in this song they might be talking about the feeling of drugs that they might have been on. I don't know for sure but it just seems most songs are about that. Still great music happy music.
What can I say really enjoy watching your commentary so I subscribed
Saw FF a couple of months ago. Amazing concert. I danced, sang, screamed, and even cried for four hours. I highly recommend seeing them
You guys are good as coz u react to different genres of music keep it up road to 1 mil subs
Watching for the first time, ( enjoying what I see and hear ). I got one for you to react to. Band is SATYRICON ( from NORWAY ) Song is BLACK CROW ON A TOMBSTONE. Looking forward to seeing your reaction. With much anticipation and respect, Kathleen
I think you dudes are my new favourite reactors. I like the way you break down each song
Guys, love this channel, dudes! You take the shade away on all the rock that people took for granted, and she'd a new light on it to appreciate. For more ripping grooves from the Foo, check out Bridge Burning, Rope, and Run. I think you will be blown up!
When y'all was breaking down the lyrics with the "I think Im done nursing the patience" verse I decided to take part in it lol and I took it as he was done waiting and trying to get with his girl/lover (maybe) and I guess thats where it leads to "Happily ever trapped if you just saved my life" where I take it as a happy end that they ended up together because his lover accepted his confession "saved his life". But as for the run and tell the angels bit, Idk but I think he had some sort of deep metaphor for that line saying I'm doing better now compared to the firs few lines about talking with the devil.
But thats my 2 cent's on the breakdown of those lyrics.
Gotta say y'all make investigating and finding the meaning behind lyrics fun lol making me feel like sherlock holmes. Keep up the good work !!!
Lol! Thanks for partaking sir! We still don't know what it means lol. We haven't had a chance to do any research.
I remember playing this song on the first rock band as a kid. Love that you guys aren't strictly doing rap!! Great stuff, gotta change it up
I love the foo fighters their my all time fave band its nice to see the variety of music you guys react to would you guys to other languages as well? Or like little bios for other people who dont know about the bands you react to that would be kinda cool me and my fiance love your guys channel keep up the awesome work!!!
Im pretty sure i seen on a tv show on how he wrote this song. In the show the mentioned that Dave said he was struggling to write this song for this album and he was struggling with sleep over it and as he was struggling he came up with the line "run and tell all of the angels this could take all night".
I always interpreted this song as Dave finding a way to get back to making music after Kurt Cobain's death.
Justin Baker never thought of it that way. Interesting interpretation.
He wrote 2 whole albums before that record. So yeah I doubt that.
Justin Baker That's an interesting take on the song.
This is true.
The Foo's are my favorite band. This is an old song. Their later stuff rocks harder but he's still a great songwriter and they're great performers. Try DOA. The Pretender, Bridges Burning...
Yes, the Foo Fighters are still great. I love this band. Great song writers and musicians. They are a band that is timeless and original. Great song. Keep up the free thinking.
What a blast from the past. Great song.
Glad you guys liked this song! The Foo fighters are my favorite band that's still around.
If you ever get a chance to see them live check it out. They put on a kick ass show....Dave grohl once broke his leg during a show, went and got his leg set, then came back and finished the show sitting in a chair.
I got very into them after the first cd dropped. "X-Static" gave me goosebumps. I grew up in the 70s so hearing great rock in the 90s!!! Their music literally saved my life. ER visit turned into being admitted with sepsis. I was out of body for days and all I remember is the whole One By One cd in my head. Concert, videos...crazy. Dr told me I was very lucky to be alive.
i first heard this song from guitar hero when i was like 12 lol and still love it
Foo Fighters today is still 100% fuckingawesome give them some more listen time maybe put another one up here there's so many songs. Listen to come alive. From the album Echoes silence patience and Grace album
Guys, please react to Lil Dicky - Pillow Talking, I don't know how you guys missed this one!!
Also, I recommend the song Crew by Goldlink, no need for reaction I just want to you guys to hear a song with a good vibe and arguably the best sounding hook of 2017 so far
two great recommendations man, the track Crew is sick but I agree it's not reaction worthy because the lyrics could've been better
Foo's are still around touring non stop. One of the largest selling tours. Play Pretender video. Killer
Song and great video.
I love these guys (Ryan & George.) I wish you guys would do more Foo Fighters. =)
Foo fighters rock! No blast beat miscommunication here. Just good music! Love you guys still. Ill be in vegas march lets chill
I love these reactions, just discovered them today, very cool. I'd like to request some Wilco - Art of Almost maybe.
I love Foo Fighters so much.
Foo fighters - "This is a call" You should definitely do that one. :D
This is one of my all time favorite songs. It's just so perfect. Great lyricism that has a great message and the musical portion of Foo Fighters is always great. Glad y'all (I'm Texan, come at me bro) reacted to it. Always a great reaction from you two again and keeping the top spot in my heart of my favorite channel on UA-cam.
A song I want y'all to check out is Smile by Eyedea (pronounced Idea). Try not to get the music video because even as him being my favorite artist, it's a bit cringy to me, and it kind of distracts from the song in my humble opinion. Keep up the great work y'all.
YESSSSSSSSS THE FOO FIGHTERS!!!!!!! This song is so fucking sick! That octave lead at the start with the rhythm guitar shimmering behind it is so damn atmospheric. The textures are soooooo fucking present in this song, and I adore it. Also, Dave (singer/rhythm guitar) can write one HELL of a hook! The drummer, Taylor is such a fucking monster, the dudes got chops out the ass, he's got so much talent and explosive energy.
Also, I'd like to recommend either the song "It Remembers" or "Wanderlust" by Every Time I Die, a Buffalo, NY based hardcore punk band.
Good work guys!!! I love it!
It would be awesome to see yall react to some SlipKnoT like Spit it Out, so insanely intense and high energy metal but it's got some hip-hop and rap elements as well
Torun Smok great choice
I love Spit It Out!
If you haven't seen the 1000 Italians doing "Learn To Fly", you MUST. It is magic.
Yes David Grohl lead singer and plays multiple instruments, best known for drums, was drummer for iconic grunge band Nirvana.....
Yes! Of course! Thank you!
MORE FOO FIGHTERS PLEEAASSEE!!

Foo Fighter All my life
Better yet Everlong
Great vid as always 👍
Thanks bro!!
Foo Fighters are one of the best R-n-R bands of all time man! Seriously!
George you talk about the drummer going crazy, that is Taylor Hawkins. He was the drummer for Alanis Morrisette on "You Outta Know" and the album/tour "Jagged Little Pill". He joined Foo Fighters after playing with Alanis. But yes, this is a great song. Many other Foo Fighters songs are damn great. BTW, Foo Fighters comes from the British Air Force in WWII. The had a group that would intercept UFO (Unidentified Fly Objects), and they were call Foo fighters because of the way the British pronounce UFO (u fo). Look up the interview with Dave Grohl where he talks about this.
Foo Fighters is my comfort music. I'm not surprised they say it makes them feel good. They may not be the most complex rock band out there but their shit just sounds good and is consistent.
Best of you !!!! By foo fighters you'll love it
You guys are right. Great song!
You guys have a new subscriber. I love this channel and would like to request some Soundgarden in tribute to the late, great Chris Cornell (RIP).
Foo fighters have been one of my favorite bands since I first heard one of their tracks. Everlong is my favorite song full stop so if you guys reacted to that it would be awesome. Other Dave grohl projects/bands involved with are obviously nirvana, then venture into Them Crooked Vultures, Queens of the Stone Age, album Sound City:Real to Reel. Keep up the good work guys. Love the diversity of the music you guys react to and the honesty and insight.
I loved this video back then and even more now.
If you loved this song when it came out, you have GOT to check out the cover by The Rockin 1000. This was literally, 1000 Italian musicians who got together and recorded a cover OUTDOORS, as a way of asking the Foo Fighters to come play a concert in their area. It's here on You Tube, and easy to find.
This was Ghrol finding his way after Nirvana. One of my all-time favourite songs. In fact I just love Foo Fighters!
I mean everybody can appreciate a little Dave Grohl in their life :P By the way you should check out some stuff from Rage Against the Machine, Killing in the Name is the first song I would recommend.
OverNightGaming im sure theyd dig ratm cuz its rap/metal heavy on rhythm n with meaningful lyrics
in response to both @OverNightGaming and @Ness G, RATM is an amazing band, one of the most influential bands of the 90's, and has some of the greatest lyrics ever. Killing in the name of is a great song, but there are almost no lyrics to the song. I say, we have them listen to bomb track or bulls on parade. George is a lyrics man, and Killing in the name of is not their strongest lyrical track. Just saying... but definitely YES for RATM!!!
Killing in the Name is more anthemic than lyrical for sure but it's probably the easiest one to recommend, my personal favorite is People of the Sun.
to be fair, I got into RATM in the "Battle of Los Angeles" years, so my favorite will always be Sleep Now In The Fire, but Evil Empire definitely had the better lyrics
I agree, RATM is dope. Maggies farm is a good one too
This takes me back Fo sho sho... I'm gonna hit you with some out of the box stuff right here!
The Dillinger Escape Plan (featuring Mike Patton)- When Good Dogs Do Bad Things
The Mars Volta- Take The Veil Cerpin Taxt
Primus- Lacquer Head
Hey guys whenever you get the chance same song but covered by 1000 people in Italy it’s amazing just type learn to fly 1000 so many musicians main purpose of it was to get the foo fighters to finally tour in Italy and it worked! Great performance and every musician was in snyc
Love YOUZ guys
Love from Florida
You guys should react to Run by the Foo Fighters
RaptR
Not even in their top 50 songs
I'm entitled to my own opinon bro. U dont have to agree with me but dont be a fucking dick about it. Also i never said it was one of their best songs, i requested tht they react to it because its new and they probably havent heard it yet. Also what makes you the expert of what the Foo Fighters top 50 songs are?
RaptR YES!! I would love to see a reaction to this omg
Foo Fighters - Low
I agree. React to the Video for the full effect, though. Actually, most of the Foo Fighters videos are quite entertaining and fun.
And he was one of the greatest singers in 90s grunge rock era.
They should’ve watched the music video! One of the funniest of all time
I really dig you guys reaction vids. Im an average mid fifty's white guy (doesn't look like it though) who really likes a lot of vids you guys review! You guys seem like super cool guys that would be fun to know and meet! I love you're honest interpretations!
I love Foo fighters.
Someday someone needs to make a gif of you guys synchronized head-nodding, instant internet classic.
Lloyd Banks - Freestyle on Flex 2017.
Seriously boys, this needs to be reacted to! I know you guys like bars, flow and delivery and this has it all!
I believe the song speaks about letting go of whatever is holding you back from life, love and being happy
Owned this cd back in the day, Dave Grohl in pigtails haha . Always thought the song was about feeling alive through any inspiration, it being good or bad.
The whole sound of the album always reminded me of Lit - A place in the sun
Thanks for feedback sir!
Guys. FOR REAL JUST DO A QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE TUNE. DUDES LIKE HARD ROCK GINGER ELVIS HE'S AWESOME. PLEASE :)
Hey guys ! Been a fan since the begining- I've been a musician
39 years and play in Toledo, OH.
I've have a recording deal and publishing deal in Nashville,
but love all kids of music. I have recently been hire in a band that
covers newer material. I could suggest many songs, but why not check
out the 'Pretty Recklace- Take Me Down' When I heard it, I love it
immediately. I gives me hope for NEW Rock music, even though I'm a
Country singer
Loved the music video for this track 👌🏻
"Wasting Light" has all good tracks from The Foo Fighters
This is one happy song. I'm smiling.
*MORE FOO FIGHTERS PLEASE!!*
All my life foo fighters
