I was fishing for stripers and caught 3 sea bass 16 to 19 inches at the cape cod canal last week using chunk mackerel about an hour before high tide and up through slack. Never caught a sea bass. I was surprised they pull hard for their size. Thought it was a tautog at first. Unfortunately, I had to release them as they're out of season. I would of love to have had them for dinner.
This is awesome..in 2007 I caught a black sea bass 45 min off the Far Rockaway NY inlet in the Atlantic. It was 8lbs. Still the best fish I ever caught.
Here are the links for you @Steve232 teamhighhooknj.com/ols/categories/squid-jig-with-fixed-hook . Also, it's usually easiest to search backwater baits on fb and just private message Domenic backwatercustombaits.com Thanks for watching
Suggestion when showing people what you just did have someone hold the camera close so we can actually be seen otherwise I love your educational thing here
That dropper loop method is way too complicated, you can make this knot by simply keeping the center wrap open while wrapping the sequence from the middle. No teeth necessary.
The best video I have seen for targeting Black Sea Bass. Thank you!
Yw
thank you @phillymanpete
went up to Hyannis 2 weeks ago! hit nothing but huge sea bass with this rig... thanks

great video and stories! What type of drift speed are you looking for with Seabass?
Usually anchor or use spot lock on the spot
Can you provide the links for L.I. teasers and Jersey squid jig? Thank you

When u say "single lure" for bigger fish, r u referencing top loop jig or bottom? If top, sinker on bottom? Thanks
Just one jig on the bottom, no loop above.
Might want to do that with a dark background so people can see what you are doing
Can you give me the name/address of the people who mount the fish?
Can you use these artificial lures to catch them from inshore? Or do you have to be on the boat?

Excellent suggestion.
Where you buy swimming mullet?
Great video but my teeth hurt watching it lol 😂
Where I buy ball fish like your?
Good video but you can improve on a over view camera shot and show a better detail on knotting
Since when did folks start targeting fish. All my life we just fished and went fishing.
We go after certain species all the time always have.
I wish you would talk less about perhaps your sponsor and more about the action of the rod and how to properly jig them
Are you kidding me people are supposed to see you biting monofilament with a camera that far away in the first place wow
Your teeth are not tools!
I had replaceable braid cutters implanted after always forgetting my pliers 🤷🏼♂️
Beautiful rig horrible cameraman 🤣🤣🤣 jk
Best tip , don’t use your teeth
Speaks as good as Karine Jean Pierre
