Hey Olly. Since I was a kid I've always loved Hondas, the EG Civic from NFS Underground 1 was my first "favourite car." I passed my driving test in February first time and wanted a 1.6 EP2 Sport as my first car after following your EP3 for about a year and a half, ended up having to settle for much much less, but your car and the EP3 I drive past every day on the way to work keep me motivated to grind hard until I can afford one of these cars before it costs me £5,000 for something that's already rotten and never been cared about by any of the owners. also for your next video, would you be able too show how the clearence is on your exhaust set up? big concern with all 3 inch exhaust is that it hangs too low, would be great for the community
I have a 2.5” exhaust and a Mugen twin loop. I spoke to Jesse @ Jcal about putting skunk 3 cams in and he said I would need a 3” exhaust. Mine made 252bhp and he said I would make approx 267bhp with skunk 2 cans and a 3” exhaust system.. I think that’s the rough figure you should be making too
Is the solidfab manifold 2.5"? Do we only need 3" from the cat back to get the HP benefits? I have a 2.5" PLM intake manifold decat which connects into a custom 2.5", would having a 3" catback help free up the power?
Really interesting video, I was very close to buying cams for mine when I had it but couldn't justify the cost at the time, doesn't seem too hard a job to do. I reckon you should hit 260 now.

I'm interested see what you make on her now, I'm still in to minds if I wana change my exhasut to a tegiwa one. As when Jessie mapped my car again after the engine rebuild he said the same thing again my bloody exhasut is restricting the power.
dunno what the power will be but i hope you get the reading your after - can you also give us the power at the wheels reading for the people outside the uk that work that way? like aus and nz that get ep3 type r's as well :)

Very interesting! Let's see what happens then. Ignite are only 30 minutes from me where Dynodaze are 1 hour 40 minutes away. Just decided to keep it more local this time and try somewhere else.
Even I didn’t get to hear it start up! I left it where it was at the end of the video! Couldn’t start it without the new basemap due to the bigger injector size. Next video though 👀👀👀
If I did that, you would realise how long it takes for me to say the right thing! Haha! This way, at least the audio flows. (Not ideal but better than 1 hour 16 mins of rubbish which is what this video started as)

3" is the preferred size for getting the most out of the K20. It would be worth getting a 3" catback if you are chasing the most peak power.
How big is the backbox and mid silencer on the solid fab 3' exhaust?
Not sure on the actual measurements. They might be available on the Solid Fab website though

Hey olly with the solid fab exhasut system do you need to run the manifold also
You don't have to (which is cool). They offer the cat back with the standard 3 bolt mount too. You just choose which one you want when you order it.

The labour for the cams was £225 (assuming you already have the exhaust on)

If you already have springs, you might aswell go for stage 2 cams with some retainers
