Can't say enough about all the 992s analog center mounted tachometer. It's absolutely brilliant, with the digital display screens on each side, I believe it to be the perfect instrument cluster.

I've been seeing a bunch of the new Porsche Cayenne GTS' driving around with that spoiler up. I give every one of them a thumbs up for having the new fastest SUV on the block and presumably knowing what they're driving
Gosh I must have watched the roof go back at least 10 times. This is such a beautiful car...just when you think a Porsche can't get any better....it gets better.
The way you drive is the best of any reviewer for demonstrating on screen what the drive is actually going to be like. I have a GTS and imo the best all round compromise is coupe with a pan roof.
If I was in the market for a daily driver Porsche I would most likely go for a Targa 4 GTS. The car also sounds quite nice and not too loud where on long drives it would start to wear on you like a GT3's sound would.
Nice review Raz. The -10mm PASM helper suspension set-up is only available on the GTS coupe and cabriolet, not as you state here on the Targa GTS. The Targa GTS only available with the standard PASM (no helper springs). Look at each model on the configurator, and you can see that this (no cost) option is missing on the Targa GTS only.
I am missing any information about how it feels to be driven with roof down?? Especially in comparism to the cabriolet… Wind noises etc… C‘mon it‘s a TARGA , people want to know these kind of things :) Good video besides of that (as always)
Targa = wind bubble. I own this car and it’s noisy even with sunroof wind diffuser upgrade. Something you put up with when you own this caliber of car. If you don’t like it, but the 911 with sun roof or cab.
Like your reviews , really would have liked to known what it was actually like to drive with the roof off , if the buffeting at a certain speed is still present in the targa .. only because this would be my spec and was gutted you drove it with the roof up . Hopefully you re do it in the uk roads but with roof down and gts spec to see if better than cab
I daily my 2019 Targa 4 GTS manual. It's a phenomenal car and understand the draw. I also have 200 cell cats that really lets the turbos sing. I only wish it had ceramic brakes to keep the dust down. My GT3 wheels are always pristine.
well let me say that in terms of cinematography and editing, this video is a benchmark. It's pure car porn. This is a great video presentation, forget the subject matter even for a moment, this is still like a really good documentary in terms of presentation ( besides the ad at the beginning). This is how it's done, a presenter who happens to cut in the footage of a car video to show him engaging with the car as needed; as opposed to every other single car content maker where they show 1 minute of car footage and 10 minutes of their "cliche - rambling car - reviewer " blurping a script. Well done.
If you ever get a chance, please compare wind buffeting in the Targa vs. Cabrio when both are open. Some reviewers complain that the Targa, surprisingly enough, has _more_ wind buffeting than the Cabrio, which is unfortunate.
I got my targa in May and the wind buffering is nowhere near as bad as I expected from all the reviews…. It’s not perfect but it’s a very very very small price to pay for such an awesome car
I have owned three Targas, a 2015, 2023, and now a 2024. Buffering only occurs at 45 to 55 mph with windows fully up. The windshield spoiler eliminates buffering but adds more wind noise. However you can lower the windows an inch or two which will eliminate buffering with no increase in wind noise.
What a car the 911 is in any variant in my opinion the nicest sports car all around in the world I would take it over most super cars. Excellent review as always Raz.
Brilliant, as usual. May I suggest you use a Laser Pointer to point to the different parts of the car while describing them? It helps you to avoid defocusing your camera cause of moving your hand/finger in front of the lens. Be happy.
I think that in that sense, a Targa 4 GTS is a beautiful package in terms of daily-ability, a perfect engineering blend of the coupe and the comfortable cab, aside from that, i would go for the coupe.
Thank you for a great review! We have the 991.2 Targa 4 GTS but I just can't justify going to the new 992 due to the sound of the engine... I am terrified that I will regret it if we get the new one... It looks stunning tho!!!
I don’t understand why people complain about GPF filter. Every car brand stock exhaust is always worse than aftermarket exhaust... Even Ferrari sounds bad stock compared to an aftermarket exhaust… Just install an armytrix akraprovic and so. And sound is 10x better always every single time
Raz…not sure on the overhead shots with massive distortion but I like the car…but still I would go for a GT3 Touring or a Turbo S…. I just think the 911 looks best as a coupe. Well done again..that camera?…not sure yet!

Great review Raz. Just have one question about 992 gts. Could you please tell some your feeling about sport pasm and pasm as they are two options for the gts? Also, it seems that the ride height are the same on 992 gts pasm sport or pasm. Is that right?

The Porsche Reliability Rating is 2.0 out of 5.0, which ranks it 32nd out of 32 for all car brands. This rating is based on an average across 345 unique models. The average annual repair cost for a Porsche is $1,192, which means it has below average ownership costs. The other factors that contribute to Porsche reliability include an average of 0.8 visits to a repair shop per year and a 21% probability of a repair being severe.
I used to love Porsche. I feel like In the last few years, it’s lost some of its soul. It feels like the default sports car in the same way Lamborghini feels like the default super car. A great car make no mistake, probably the greatest. But not very emotional I guess? I have a 2015 Cayman, it was a great car, but to be honest I dont really miss it.
Very nice but it's not different enough for me to upgrade from the 991.2 Targa 4 GTS. If Porsche comes up with a version with a naturally aspirated 4.0 engine (does it make sense? does it matter...?) I'll immediately sign up and get one with a manual gearbox.
Not necessarily at targa specific ask but it would appreciate a full eval leading mobile mount option in the 992. (The center console and Apple CarPlay simply isn’t practical alone IMO for a variety of reasons)
As an owner of a 991.2 Targa, this video tempts so much try to get a 992 Targa but the dealership told me 18 months to get a PTS Targa :/. Plus a part of me thinks the 991 design is more elegant than the 992, especially in the interior design. Also would love to see a 992 Turbo Targa.

Same thing. 911 is the model and Carrera is the variant. From there you have the Carrera S, Carrera 4s, Targa, GTS, GT3, Turbo, Turbo S, and so on. Lots of flavors.
Great vid Raz. I have to say though, I much prefer the interior induction noise of the exhaust/engine sound of your reviews. Like you did with the GTS CoupeI. It makes one feel part of the experience
Gt3 touring starts from $163,450 GTS coupe starts from $142,900 (or $149,900 for the 4GTS). Thats hardly 100k more, and the Targa or Cabrio gts are similiar to the GT3. In porsche money 10k difference is nothing, since youre probably also gonna throw in extra for specs. The only benefit GTS has over the Carrera S is it adds stuff in package that bought separetly would cost as double in the Carrera, so youre saving cash and getting more hp. However GT3 touring is such a more pure and fun car than the GTS. Benefit of the doubt is that GT3 even in touring is harsh for everyday use, so its a perk for GTS.
