I was tricked, in my beginning days of selling,a customer told me PLAT stands for Plata in Spanish which means silver. I discovered after it was platinum, so never rely on a customers honesty , always check yourself first or get a professional opinion

I've never had issues with my higher dollar stuff. Sold a $1500 bracelet last week. I've also sold purses for over $3000. I have more issues with lower priced items

Looks like the Scheiner brochure is a mold and then handpainted on parts to make it look like seperate pieces. The last photo in the specific listing has a message that most have the paint off from perfume being sprayed in them.

I've got one from the 40 or 50's from ventura California the label is flower perpetuated by Raymond L Scott 455 East main Street I can't fined nothing on hin it a flower made of 14 k gold and look cool

We just sold a $1500 hobe bracelet this week and we wrapped in paper then quilt batting put in 6x6 box wrapped that in bubble wrap into 8x8 box

I can see if it’s real meaning gold platinum,but even Chanel it’s not worth it to me and I love the art deco stuff the best and convert to pendant pretty easily but I personally want real gemstones and gold and or platinum sometimes they are set in silver ( when really older) have the wonderful old mine cut diamonds in it .

I think those would be hard to identify as so many different artists. If you search eBay for them and sort high to low you'll be able to see all the different ones.
I am struggling to join the resell market. Did great for first 5 months. I try not to list anything with damage. But if by chance it might be valuable enough, I might list and point out flaws. But haven't sold anything in 2 weeks. I'm on 5 platforms. Cross selling etc. I have over 1000 items listed and have at least 1000 more. Spending way too much time finding what these items are worth. I have a studio pottery signed but can't find who signed. Can make out I think vh...z
Right now is a very tough time in reselling for sure. I have over 6000 and only have 3 going out today. As you are picking up new items check the sell through rate carefull.
But that leaf brooch was not the same as the one in the book you can tell by looking at them side-by-side they're not the same item so they were wrong about it being a book piece
It's a shame that the Juliana seller didn't list it as a demi parure.

Some are valuable but most not so much as they were mass produced. For me whaat I do is lot them up by theme
