Phoenix Festival was an unforgettable, incredible, deep and otherworldly experience. I had the honor of finding out about this festival from Zooropix in 2022 when I was at Digital Forest. I decided to give this one a try in 2023 and I have to say it was one of the most unforgettable festivals I have ever experienced!
Due to heavy rainfall the main site for camping as well as the chill stage got damaged/flooded since the small stream turned into a wild river and you could see where the earth was simply washed away. Despite these major concerns, the organizers decided to still go through with the festival (damage from flood just 1 day before festival opening was partially severe enough to simply choose not to). I want to give utmost credit for the organization and sheer simplicity of how everything flowed despite tough choices to make.
The places where earth was washed away were covered in a layer of sand which perfectly solved the issue of washed away earth patches and since the main campsite was flooded we were allowed to camp directly in the forest which was opposite of the campsite. Although it was not easy to find a relatively straight spot :D, I have to say that this was a truly unique and absolutely amazing and connecting experience. Being in that ancient forest full of life and hearing beautiful music coming from the festival. The main campsite looked much better on the next day and everyone could easily find a spot :).
The music, food, people, fire, surrounding nature, made and absolutely unforgettable, soul drifting experience.
I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my soul, who made Phoenix Festival 2023 possible.
A multiversal and especially warm thank you to TOD, who amongst all other sets and responsibilities, absolutely slayed an 11 hour long afterparty pure love, all genres, magical journey set (which sadly was not recorded) however I will remember it forever in my heart and soul and I still tell people about that set :D. On that last day I danced my record of 23 hours and even though my feet felt like falling off, my soul was never so filled and satisfied!!!
If anyone in this world if looking for a truly incredible experience and a unique festival, I absolutely urge you to fly on the wings of the Phoenix Festival ;D !!!!!!!!
PS: YEDHAKI:NAUTIKA were the ones who 'opened' the festival as their were the first and I have to say that being there live and right up front, listening and feeling this mans godlike constant breathing, which is used to vibrate and create absolute madness on his 4 didgeridoos(one of which was actually heart shaped!!! Just pure loving vibrations that hit deep into the soul. Its impressive in this video but live and being there is taking it to another world!!!
