Ed is one of the GOATS. His word play was phenomenal. He also did some ghost writing for a few artists. You should check out "The Bush" and "Think About It."
Being a teenager & creating good music even classics was the norm when we came up. This generation is good with the dumbing down of teenagers as if they only make 💩ty music because of their age.
I like your channel😊. You're listening INTENTLY. Like we all did back then. Elevation of the standards and originality was what it was all about. Keep pushing..
Notice how budget the video is and his locations. Rhymes about getting new cars in the middle of salvage yard, front of his school, the park, simple and humble.
This song actually came out in 1988 when he was 16. That's his high school and his classmates in the video. His album called "The Youngest In Charge" came out in 1989 when he was 17.
What most people don't realizer is that Special Ed was being 'sarcastic' in this song...and they used satire for the music video. For instance the song he's rapping about how much he "got it made' (as in being a success), however, he's in a junk yard surrounded by junk. That was one of the main points of the video. It was dark humor.
@@CrowdPleeza Yoooo, never knew that. Just listened to this song from your link and see that Kid 'N Play sampled it for "Rollin With Kid 'N Play", too.
I’ve checked ur playlist, u haven’t reacted to this: 1. Storm - Raynn feat Ez Mil (Ez sister) ua-cam.com/video/jrKX5u2LPlM/v-deo.htmlsi=pna3hyMYzblnyjjg 2. The 80s was popping, but I feel like you're discrediting the new generation. Coast contra is new, fresh music done in this educated style. And don't forget the underground. Czarface (Wu tang), Brother Ali, and R.A. the Ruggedman, are still making music. All my heroes are dead was one of my favorite albums of 2020. And I can't draw enough attention to snow the product!
No discredit at all.. im talking about A List Rapppers that gets to go to hip hop awards and stuff. But you are right coast contra COLD Snow the Product COLD
@RabbitHoleTVOfficial If you're un familiar with the Rhymesayers, Brother Ali is fire. His track "Forrest Whittaker" is one of my favorites. (Also, a rhymesayer) MFDoom and czarface did some tight, tight work before Dumele passed. (RIP) 'Astral traveling' is a fantastic starting point. 👏 Finally, recommendations for R.A. the Ruggedman. 'Gotta be dope' or 'definition of a rap flow' are both seriously exceptional performance pieces. But "legendary loser" is my favorite track off his latest album. I hope you enjoy, and I can't wait to see if you choose to review these pieces for our enjoyment.
Agreed but all those guys besides coast contra are from the 90’s. Czarface is esoteric and inspectah deck. RA was rapping with Biggie and brother Ali has been doing it since late 90’s
It was a great time to be alive and a teenager!! The parties were fire , the gear was fire, the music was fire! Good times…😂
Special Ed is still around kicking game. He's on social media platforms.

16
He just turned 16 when he recorded this. He wrote it when he was 15. He went to school with my brother and they hung out together.
Been listening to hip hop since 83, 86 to 89 was truly the golden era

FUN FACT: Special Ed is the one who gave Raheem’s girlfriend a ride in Juice. Tupac got him the role.
That was his own car he drove off in too.

The sample is from On Broadway by George Benson which would make for a great reaction video as well. 😊
Isn't the main sample from Ripple?

Come on.. where'd copy and paste that from? The sample is from Ripple's "I Don’t Know What It Is, But It Sure Is Funky".

@RabbitHoleTVOfficial fair point. Mainstream music is bird shit on top of dog shit.
this new generation no disrespect this new generation no originality all you sound the same
