I agree on the hole for the sounder. A transducer should be able to 'see' straight through a 'glass hull, so you could bond the transducer to the inside and do away with the hole.
it feels like refitting this boat would cost the price of 3 fair boats. Have you finished the project now? The damaged plywood below the seacoks is the remaining of the backing plates.
