Anthony Starr definitely needs to get all the Awards.
Not just for Homelander's "crazy" and scary interactions with other people, but for the incredible non-verbal facial expressions when he is silent and stewing or listening to others.
He deserves more than just awards
YES! and the actress playing Kimiko too she plays her magnificently without a single line of dialogue, all facial expressions and physical acting.
No one reacts to A-Train calling the leader of The Boys "Hughie's Boy".
I love it. Of course A-Train associates The Boys with Hughie. He's the one he knows the most outside of Annie, and has known him longer than he has known Annie.

She purposefully dumbs herself down so she can relax and take a break from being so intelligent that it isolates her from life. Then she heals and goes back to being a sociopathic genius.

How would she heal? MM said that besides her intelligence she doesn’t have any power, of course his intel could be wrong and she has the basic supe powers (strength, durability) but i look forward to next weeks episode

Season 4 so far has started off incredibly strong and I'm really liking the direction their taking the characters as it seems everyone is starting to face their past as the overarching theme of the season. That scene with Butcher and Ryan is probably one of my favourite scenes of the show and seeing Butcher grow after all his mistakes and have a wholesome moment admitting his faults is really sweet showing how with only a couple of months left he wants to make things right. Great character growth.
Homelander seems off and it has a lot of huge plotholes. Actually most characters seem off in this season.

The thing is that for the character that Anthony has made from being a homelander, he has put in his great effort and great and incredible work that is scary and makes him look like a hero... who does bad things. Because of his traumas and what Vuought made him live a fantasy!!!
I think Achara has some great points when talking about Homelander's abandonment issues. A lot of people have associated Homelander with narcissistic personality disorder but i think he has shown more traits of borderline personality disorder.
To be honest, im not really invested in this season's story line, but am still very interested in seeing how the writers keep handling Homelander's abandonment and emotional issues
The Samaritan church has been talked about since the beginning of the series. Mentioned when Hugh was in the woods with soldier boy. Also mentioned at the religious rally.

There's an older lady in the Homelander flashbacks for a few frames, I wonder who that is to Homelander. Hope we get some of it next episode.
I'm with Achara, I don't think Homelander is processing every sound at every moment, that would just be too much noise all the time. It's just like how the average person tunes out most of what's going on around them most of the time. On top of that, his attention was focused on the conversation going on.

I’m very curious about what that utensil covered in blood on the coffee table is as well. Only thing I’ve come up with (and this might be stupid) is that Sage is lobotomizing herself to deal with being surrounded by idiots. Not sure if that even makes sense, but clearly her intelligence causes a lot of frustration with the world around her.

That makes a lot of sense. There was an episode on "House MD" where the patient purposely doped himself up with cough syrup because the pressures of being a genius prevented him from being happy. I wonder if this was a similar scenario for Sage.

I think you guys missed this but Ashley didn't hire the sub she has tied up, he is the host of the vought news network, essentially the tucker carlson stand in for this universe. They touched on this in season 3 with Homelander's "Star-spangled banger"
Ryan didn't kille Becca.
It was Stormfront's attempt at snapping her neck that killed her since she raptured Becca's jugular artery before Ryan could blast her away.
If Ryan's laser blast had hit any part of Becca, she would have been reduces to charred ashes.
The only reason we got any remains of Stormfront is because she was a Supe who already had a high tolerance for Supe laser blasts (Homelander's)
Why do people still assume that it was Ryan that killed her when all you have to do is a little bit of thinking and careful watching of that scene to see he couldn't possibly had killed her.

Just because you have super senses, doesn't mean you pay attention to them all the time. Wild animals have super senses, even dogs and house cats: much better sense of smell, much better hearing and vision. But animals get surprised and killed all the time by other animals, because no one can be always 100 percent alert.
Homelander was distracted, focused on Victoria and Sage, and ignoring all the noise coming from the Ice Skating Rink, so I can believe the sounds coming from Huey above him weren't registering.
I think now that we've set up the whole Woods thing at GodU, we're about to get a parallel storyline of Homelander's origin which is going to look a lot like Sam's from Gen V. Also, my guess is the bloody skewer/poker on Sage's table was what she used to kill Ambrosia. That's what Deep is eating. Maybe. Cannot wait for the rest of the episodes!

Butcher and Homelander are carrying the show. Hughie's mom plotline was okay, although it's still throwing away responsibility nonetheless, if it was his father running away he sure as heck would have been dragged back to court. Plus they don't even give the reason for depression.
Butcher is trying to be a better man while Homelander is walking further into Apathy and cutting off his need for love. Neuman is a wildcard in all of this. Between Sage who has intellect and Homelander who has raw power, Neuman has Raw power, intellect and the experience to apply them both with patience.
Also people are really underestimating Butcher both in show and the audience. There is a reason Homelander respects him, a normal human. The only other person to recive said respect was Soldier Boy who was the strongest.

That is why she strategically took the Crime analytics department from Deep. She needs all the information at Vaught to herself. She is all about reading and gathering information. She is planning something. She also knew that A-Train leaked the surveillance footage to Starlight. Sage can read someone by observing them. She observed A-Train before she took his seat. She only kept quiet and didn't snitch on A-Train because she knew him when they were kids. She also wanted access to the Analytics department so she played smart. She will gather all the information she needs and help Starlight & the boys to destroy Homelander.

Homelander treats Ryan as his extension of his legacy, he doesnt treat Ryan as individual person with own dreams and wishes. Hughie this season has tough time, 3episodes and he almost met death two times (first Vicky and next Homelander, two of the most dangerous people), next his mom shows up after so many years and his world is crumbling. Sage mostly did a lobotomy on herself, smartest person dumbing herself down might be like alcohol or dr.gs for normal people, a way to chill and relax.

I am liking A-train more and more by each episode. Didn't think that was possible. I like him more than starlight who's more boring than any of the other characters, maybe they'll make her better by the end of the season
