At the end he talks to Ryan like a child talking to a parent that won’t accept them. Homelander never found acceptance in his parental figures, so now he’s looking for it in his own child.

So then he threw the cookies away saying he put to much sugar in them (kinda weird)…. Then at the end it pans out from them playing foosball to the dog jar. At first I thought he was trying to kill him but he was gonna drug him to knock him out and take him to grace!!
I believe the plan was to knock him out and take him away from Homelander. But he decided he was going to try to fix things and instead of lying to him he wanted to see if Ryan could be convinced, rather than tricked.

For anyone wondering what the metal rod is at the end, I think Its what Maeve stabbed Homelander in the ear with when they fought at the end of season 3. Its Homelander's blood that's on the rod, they could use that against him!
Just rewatched, and Homelander was stabbed by some random hollow tube. The one on the table had a handle, looks some kind of stainless steel medical instrument. And why would there be fresh blood and just left it on the table? I think she did something to herself...somehow related to her junkfood/Netflix and f vibe.

My Theory is that by the end of the show or atleast once until Billy and Homelander die, Hughie and Starlight will raise Ryan together and he becomes the worlds legitimate savior taking down the other “Superheroes”.

I don't trust that lady or her motivations. How would Hughie even know she is his mother? This plot point is going to be something critical as the season goes on as all things are not as they seem. A youtuber on another channel said to watch out for this storyline, all that Vought products she uses, and sad stories are leading somewhere, and it might not be good for Hughie or his father.

I think anybody who is complaining about the show being too political hasn't been paying attention to the show since season 1. It has always been extremely political and very clear on wherw it stands, ESPECIALLY what Homelander stands for.
I'll tell you what people are really complaining about and calling it political:
- Seeing Frenchie in a relationship with a man hurts their sensitive eyes, even though he's always been bi.
- Having conspiracy theorists being called for what they really are.
- Making it very clear that talking heads catering to those conspiracy theories are just taking advantage of them even if they don't actually believe the same.
The show has always been political, people just like to complain when their views are challenged directly.
