日本近海の波と風データベースは、10年分の波浪推算データを用いて、有義波高、有義波周期、卓越波向、平均風速、平均風向について統計解析したものです。
クラウド版日本近海の波と風のデータベースでは、海域区分が緯度、経度0.5度間隔の詳細なものであり、期間区分は年間、季節、各月が含まれ、発現頻度表は11種類が使用できます。また、海域、季節間の発現頻度の合成が可能になっています。

"WWJAPAN cloud (Statistical Database of Winds and Waves around Japan) provides statistical data of the numerical weather prediction for 10 years, from February 1994 to January 2004. The elements of the weather data are significant height, significant period and peak direction of waves, and mean speed and direction of winds. The sea area spacing is 0.5 degrees of latitude and longitude. The statistical period is selectable from annual, each season, and each month. The scatter diagram depicts the correlations from 11 types of occurrence frequency tables, which also allows for the composition of occurrence frequencies between sea areas and seasons."
