- More and more maintenence on the main workhorses of the channel. Upgrading tires on Ol Blue and fixing the rear leaf springs on Trailmater. Then we had a recovery up on the mountain which turned into just driving the machine back down. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

You always point out the local flora and fauna Mike, and that’s what I appreciates about you.
I’d personally like to thank “Mexico “ for letting you play on that blocked off road! Ol blue is a fun truck!
That was so nice of "Meeexico"
Best content on yt, u guys are nice down ro earth people, not fake not trying to impress anyone. Just doing your own thing and killing it very refreshing
Im mad ! Im accusing you of reading my mind. !!! Are you a mentalist ? Lol
What if killing was refreshing?! Then what?
"I think you should talk bad about it."
"Your mother was a shrubbery"
Haven't laughed that hard in awhile.
That burnout was impressive for a duelly
Duelly? Dewlee? Dooley?
We know what you mean. English is hard. 🤺
@@danjones1365 stupid spell check I tried three times and said the heck with it
@@Keinandrew3 Try dualy. I teach my spell check.
@@Keinandrew3 Just wait until the computers are making bigger decisions for us.
You say dually I say tomato
Alcan Spring changes, wild roses and flowers, pack fire, informative and beautiful, vapor lock discussion, and the last comments between Rory, Shawn and Mike made this a really great video start to finish, yet again!
Today's nature boy segment, is brought to you by Mike!! Thanks nature boy....back to you Rory!
It's good that some people still take time to smell the roses.
"Your mother was a shrubbery". Very nice, Mike.
Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberry! Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!
Came here to say that! Unexpected Monty Python (esque) comment. Great work from Mike, there.
@@TheRedruffian it's definitely two jokes from Holy Grail that are mashed together. It's fantastic.
Best thing I heard today for sure :)
....and your father smelt of dingleberries
What’s better than a maintenance video, a maintenance video with a recovery.
I see Mike hasn't been using the "attack sidegrinder" for a while.
"Your mother was a shrubbery ". Good one. Broke me up, choked on my coffee.
I think I like the maintenance as much as the recoveries. :D
New tires look just right.
"The view from work" is always fantastic with you guys, keep it going
Wow that’s a neat drill press
My kind of relaxing video, fixing problems with horsepower & metal fabrication
That shortcut from Utah to Florida via Mexico is so neat.
Mike is our resident comedian and botanist. Very Nice!
Loved seeing the wild roses! Thanks Mike!
Ive 🎉got a lathe that is similar to your drill drill press but someone also put a 4 speed transmission to ajust speeds. Those will outlive all of us. Great to see old tools still working.
Every video you guys put out brings a smile to my face. I am sure I'm not alone - thanks for bringing us along!
THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO
Yee....
Haw....
Thirsty Thursdays for me and Ol' BLUE,
In the home stretch now.
that vapor lock saved you a lot of work😁 people have no idea how much maintenance field repair and recovery equipment requires always interesting to watch you guys work
NOICE! The Drill Press has been upgraded since it was new. The Leather Belt goes down to an electric motor instead of up to a Line Shaft. Since the belt goes down around sleeves, arms, and fingers, someone also added the cage.
"A line shaft is a power-driven rotating shaft for power transmission that was used extensively from the Industrial Revolution until the early 20th century."
Yes!!! Like #1 as well 💥 Rory's content is UA-cam's best 💚❣️
2:17 I hope Mike gets some love for one of the best lines I’ve heard today, and Shawn’s comeback not missing a beat!!
You can be sure that when you get a new video from Trail Mater it is full of lesser known facts, intrigue, danger, recoveries and shenanigans.
When colt said I like leaf springs; I pictured that kid saying “I like Turtles.” Hahaha
Instant like for the burnout. Thanks for showing us the scenery Mike
Thank you Mike for showing us the pretty flowers 🌺 lol😅
Group Therapy with the Boys sounds like a good day!
No other channel has a "Mikeumentary" constant stream of pleasant relevant entertaining chat!
Not yada yada, and when he describes wheeling and recovery, he speaks with real experience, but mostly he lets Rory do all the recovery talk.
And Shawn, godlike in presence, giggles like a 9 year old. What could be better.
Others channels try and duplicate what simply can't be duplicated.
Best team work ever
That’s an interesting reflection
Thanks for the pretty flowers, Mike. I bet the wild roses smelled heavenly!
Whenever Rory is welding I put on my super dark sun glasses. I'm no fool. 😎
What a great video of upgrades on Trail Mater and new tires for Old Blue. What a great scenery going up 4,000 ft to get the SxS! Good video as always guys!
Always love the scenery, always love checking out the local flora.
Awesome burnout Mr Rory!
Love seeing the maintenance and resourcefulness to fix things as they are needed. If only the world could do more of this rather than throwing things away and replacing.
Glad you are fixing the issues on your rigs before it is a really big issue. the bigger tire look good on Old Blue. The engineering of the leaf spring perches look like they should do the trick.
I love watching you guys fabricating stuff - cutting and welding and lifting one tow truck with the other tow truck. This helps me better understand how much stuff wears out when you're constantly running on the tough trails in Moab. I enjoyed watching this one.
Appreciate Mike showing us the flora and fauna. That looked like a beautiful trail.
You Boys Like Mexico!!
Blue is looking great, Mater is stronger than ever...great stuff.
Great content! Old pinch type wooden clothes pins on the fuel line. Rubber or steel lines don't matter, its a heatsink. Always beautiful scenery!!
Great job again.
I love undisclosed locations in Mexico!
Great video, I love the little extras, thanks Mike for showing the views and Flora and fauna. It would be great if Mike learned the names of the Flora.
But an excellent video.
Ole blue sounds awesome but better in person 🤘😃🤘
Amazing Synergy when you are all working togehter....!
The first flowers you showed were wild roses, the second ones that were purple looked like Monks Hood of which the sap is toxic & can cause liver failure, the last ones that were pinkish looked like Utah Milk Vetch.
I would watch your channel just for the scenery, flora, and fauna content. Thanks guys.
That drill press is awesome!! It takes special people to keep cool stuff like that around and useful, well done!
Thanks for the smile.
Beautiful scenery. Also, the simplest problem is usually the most likely. Good work guys. 😊
Larger tire look good on Ole Blue.
A casual recovery day in the beutiful mountains. Thx Mike for the shrubbery tour.
Dude ya'll have THE most fun. Love to see ya'll working hard AND having a good time while doing it. The smart comments are the best thing eeeeeeever.
# ONE , Maintance on old Blue, is going to do a bang up job as he is the best at all he works at.Have great faith in you,
At my work, they were called headless brown trout.
A new video from my favorite t-shirt company 😊
Rock I love the way Mike is informing us about the area and rocks and the dirt and stuff please keep it up I'm curious and I love knowing new things thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing with us! ☺
Thank you Rory , Mike and Shawn for the adventure , seeing some amazing scenery and nice recovery !
you never watch a man grease his bushing... hahahah mike and Shawn are the Willams and Ree of fixing trucks and stuff... haha they make a lot of what they do fun and funny... love you guys keep doing what your doing... just waiting to see more on the camper and 65...
That old drillpress is cool!!! And the closed course in Mexico.....
Trail mater is such a work of art. I've really come to appreciate the thought you've put into each repair and upgrade.
Great video
You guys are awesome. Thanks for the content. Mike and his flora and fauna 😂 love it. And a big block with a wheezer? Couldn’t be better. Keep it up
Best recovery in history. And great advice for people who might be in this same situation. I'm glad you guys worked on both trucks to keep them maintained. Great video, Rory.
We appreciate that! Thank you for watching!
Love the sound of that big block.
Burned in! Finish welded👍🤗
Morning mater thanks for the video
Good to know about the Honda if I gear get a chance to take mine out west. Great video with the added flora and fauna segment!
Port-o-potty, tagged the interior door with brown trout fishing tournament today.
Great job Rory and Mike. The tires were a great choice Rory.
So that why you got two tow trucks one to fix other.hahaha. you guys rock awesome 👍
And that tree's father smelt of elderberries!
Don't have to worry about getting rocks in between the dual tires now!!
You all are blessed to work in such a place
BFGs looks awesome Rory 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Well, that's got to be one of the easiest recoveries ever! LOL!! Vapor locked... Huh! Say.... I'm liking those new tires on Ol' Blue!! Looking good!!! Keep up the good work guys!!
Hey guys , it's always a treat to be able to sit back turn on one of your videos and nit pick it to death ...lol ! Jk I love what you guys are doing for a living , my gawd I'd be in heaven or at least believe I was.
That being said, if you guys decided one day that you'd like to give guided tours, you in your units and the novelist in theirs,it would be a hit smash. Like overlanded but you go with your trailer set up with bbq and water ,fuel exitera they bring what they bring what they would normally bring and you constantly rescue them as you go😀serious though have weekend excursions, teaching by showing how you do things, it might be good to do a pre event planning for what items the people would /should ta
ke along and which not to. It'd be a hit I can just see it now. And yes Rory the good would out way the bad.🇨🇦🇬🇧🇺🇸 oh what I came here to say was i really love that drill press. God bless America and Canada we all need it.
Alcan Springs FTW!
Awesome start to the video!!!
very nice!
Yay, it’s sparks fly Friday 😎 oh, you said group therapy I had to rewind thought I heard grope
You guys are such an awesome team to watch. Watching you guys make me forget the world crap that is going on.
Camera shots in the last 3-4 mins are great, beautiful mountains and sky. Cruising down from 8k elevation.
And the new setup on the truck is rad
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
Mike has to Sneak the Pictures of the Flowers while Rory’s not looking… 😳 Other wise Rory would be just rolling his Eyes! 🤔👍😂
Mike
Brown Trout in Wisconsin are totally different than Utah Brown Trout 😂
Just make sure you have adequate clearance between the duals, when loaded or hauling something. If the dual sidewalls touch, they build up heat, destroying both tires.
My grandfather had a drill press like yours and it works better than any new one you can by today
Great video ! Gorgeous area ! Thanks for sharing !
A engine oil cooler should help keep those engine temps in check when doing the big climbs in Ol' Blue. Might help with transmission temps too if you have the transmission coolers plumbed via the radiator.
there's a lot of Wrecker wizardry going on under Trailmater
You could really use an ArcDroid in your shop. It's a very small compact CNC plasma cutter. 👍👍
Very stunning mountain landscapes!😊
For my Australian friends, 4,000 feet is about 1220m. --- Thanks for the great upload. ---
It’s beautiful up on that big mountain
Camelback drill press. Great drill press!!
