Ok problems I faced with this carb is the float is way to high on adjustment leads to issues with idling on hilly areas and stuff 48 jets stock is not enough nor is 50 for a 2.8L v6. Also Jetting is always to lean because you need a 13/16" wet float adjustment aka 13/16" fuel level from the top, Jetting up getting the right power valve also the accelerator pump is crazy full pump instead of half pump which can flood a little v6 and deliver poor idle performance. Choke assist opens to early vs using the actually choke thermostat with the exhaust which worked better for me. Holly is expensive but prob is a better option for the power valve tuning with jetting for it and other jets and anti backfire not to blow the power valve. Choke pull off is like 2 pennies or so open. Also i use high idle so ill be jetting up because the cold starts not great in order to get idle performance when the engines hot it has to be perfect. 500 cfm is a terrible idea and 350 cfm is already to much but 300 cfm seemed better then the 1.21 i had that didn't do well would not deliver fuel like it was suppose to.
Your correct Holly is the better option , takes a little engineering with the install configurations , not a simple plug and play , but agreed a better option indeed
@@samora3 Yes definitely I went with the 2150 for it's cheap price and stuff but it is by no means #1 for configuration compared to Holly's carberation, Especially since you can jet your power valve vs the 2150 and it's performance for a V8 configuration.

Adjust the choke pull-off, That's easy and free. You never had a problem to begin with.
