This is something I have tried and nobody talks about it.
Not really, android has way higher kernel latency. Even if you cap the scrolling speed androids will still lag on the playstore. Heavy UIs are prone to make android devices lag because of the kernel jitter. OPPO has a few VSync tricks to improve scrolling jitter on theirs and OnePlus devices, Xiaomi doesn't have those however.
I don't get why it's a big deal about how fast and which one is the fastest? In a day to day use, you won't feel or see the difference. When it runs smooth, that's all we wish for.
Exactly, it's not like you use both phones at the same time everyday, but I guess that's just to have an idea on which one to pick up when it comes to get a new phone. For example, right now I'm looking for a new phone as my Xiaomi Mi10T is having problems (the cameras died and the microphone does a loud wind noise, I brought it to two technicians and they couldn't fix it), so I'm unsure whether to give Xiaomi another go, or perhaps try a Samsung for the first time ever (I've got a lot of iPhones throughout my life, I wanna take a break and stick with android for just another one phone before going back to iOS)

When i got my iphone 14 pro i though it will be supper smooth in any app that im using, but i was wrong. The scrolling is still choppy even worse then android in some apps, soundcloud for example. So even if ios was smooth, it’s not anymore.
I got the iPhone 14 pro max and it's been really smooth tbh even on SoundCloud.. the only app that's been buggy for me is Best Buy for some reason it's hella choppy but other than that it's been a positive experience upgrading from iPhone 12 pro max.

Geek Bench is really Apple Bench, it was developed by Mac people, they didn't like the Geek Bench 5 scores so they rewrote the program, voila, 6 now has Apple on top. 3d Mark my S23 U scored 98% better than most phones

There is a huge difference between the MIUI China version and the international MIUI version. MIUI China has more features, is smoother, is more fully supported. The price difference between China and the world is very large. Typically, Xiaomi 13, the international version is 1.5 to 1.7 times higher than the Chinese version. I've used two Xiaomi devices, it can be said not bad. However, the experience with MIUI makes me unsatisfied, in general compared to the Chinese brands that I have used, I rate Oneplus higher than Xiaomi.
