The Xiaomi 14 does have a lens condensation problem which is all over Reddit at the moment. You only have to Google this problem and the information is there. Tests have proven that there is actually moisture in the device from the factory, and when the lens heats up and the outside of the glass is colder, then condensation occurs. This is bad quality control.

Since the Xiaomi isn't distributed in the states it would greatly help if you discussed how it gets along (or not) with 4G and 5G bands in the USA. You also didn't mention whether it has a sim-card tray.
Just search for the bands available in your area and compare to it whether or not xiaomi 14 supports those bands. A little google search will solve your problem
Biggest problem with samsung is that here in the eu it uses Exynos. Which just sucks compared to snapdragon. That's the biggest reason I would go with Xiaomi
Does anyone have problems with camera fogging (going from warm to cold or vice versa) in Xiaomi 14? I'm also interested in the battery life (if someone uses 2 SIM cards, a little playing games, a little photography, using it for surfing the Internet and social networks / applications, while the mobile Internet is turned on non-stop)?
I`m using Xiaomi 14 and for sure the experience is very smooth with this phone. I live in EU and I don`t like the Exinos versions of Samsung. The software updates are not bothering me, because I`m changing my device every 2 years anyway when I have to resign my contract. And one more thing, I had Xiaomi device in the past and I know that even when the major Android updates stop they are continuing to update their skin of the OS for few more years adding new features and tweaks and the system apps are stil getting updates (camera, launcher etc.)

Old picture with xiaomi Mi11 is was much better than S23. So much close to real life, better colours. Feeling that Mi11 like a premium. I loved that phone, I was stupid when I bought it and bought the S23. I like so much better the Xiaomi. But... That foggy issue here at Xiaomi 14.. I dont know... It is redicilous. It is a joke. And almost at all the Pcs. main camera became foggy? Come on. When I ( and I think around 70% of the people ) looking for a phone, I would say: 20% premium feelings, 10% battery life, 20% processor", 50% photo capability. And Xiaomi take much better pictures, but the selfi camera is totally joke with that HDR and the fogging main camera is totally nightmare. Maybe I will keep the S23 and wait for Xiaomi 15 :) Anyway nice video. I am following you. Keep doing that.

It's true that the Xiaomi takes great pictures in daylight with the rear camera, but personally I think Samsung beats it in night mode, video front and back. Samsung has a more reliable camera system overall than the Xiaomi imo.
Xiaomi is 2 years behind Samsung. Samsung bezels: 1.51 mm, Xiaomi bezels: 1.71 mm. Xiaomi is yet to achieve symmetrical bezels. Xiaomi is yet to achieve less thickness level and incorporate device hardware and camera modules in the phone body. Xiaomi is yet to achieve trendy flat design, platinum frame and non sticky mat glass back. Xiaomi is yet to produce a compact device. They are wrongly labelling 6.36 inch device as compact. So far, in comparison, Samsung is clearly the winner.
Well, I'm afraid that I might have to disagree with some of your points. The 2mm difference in the bezel thickness won't make the screen looks a lot uglier. A 6.36 inch device can really be considered as compact in 2024 since many of the phones offer a larger screen now. But I do agree that Xiaomi can do some work with their phone thickness and the back.
Bezel size in the 14 is unequivocally even... A lot more ram & storage, and you see mm's thickness difference as a problem? Integrity strength? Trendy? Flat? Sharp Corners? Or is that just the ultra? ... I've never liked curved screens, and sharp Corners = higher likelihood or drop damage, including screen damage. Design is Purley subjective and to personal preference. I've never liked skinny jeans. They look shit. You probably disagree, whilst looking feminine... 😂 And how is Xiaomi 2 years behind? When Samsung offer half the charging speed? And 4GB less ram? Not to mention the free charging brick and case and screen protector... That's pretty progressive in my opinion. Then there's the exynos variant? Why? When it's inferior.... Then there's Bixby.... 😂. Edit: s24 doesn't have a curved screen. Not a bad decision to get shot of it tbf.
@@farmski Totally agreed! How is 2mm even a problem? Just look at the new Galaxy A55, you should be complaining for those bezels instead. And... Let's not mock Bixby
xiaomi 14 is honestly great, planing to switch to it next year, currently using an s22 ultra, kinda getting old. Its the exynos 2200 version, its eating the battery.
Today in this day an age 2024 no flagship phone should take more than an hour to charge that is ridiculous. Samsung really needs to step up and improve when it comes to charging.
Xiaomi's quality control is very poor. Moisture is getting into the 14 at the manufacturing factory, and when the camera lenses heat up, and the outside of the glass is colder, then condensation is occurring. This is all over Reddit at the moment, and all people have to do is Google this problem to see it is all too real. I will not be spending my hard earned money on anything with fogging lens in colder conditions.
That and the fact that you cant remove the chinese spyware or install a different ROM on it because xiaomi won't allow bootloader unlocking anymore are the sole reasons why I won't consider it, and have got a used s23 ultra instead at a similar price
Xiaomi 14 has a lens fogging issue due to poor sealing and quality control, also Xiaomi only gives you 4 years of updates.you cannot broadcast audio when livestream and hyperos bombards you with Xiaomi adverts.

It's sad, because it wasn't like that before, P30 was taking some really natural looking shots, however their color calibration was quite poor at the time, especially at night. Mainly because they had RYYB sensor instead of RGB, so on some photos no matter how hard you tried to adjust the white balance, the photos were always turning out too yellow.
I am going to buy phone later and torn between xioami 14 and samsung s24. This review was uploaded just right on time 😍. Going for xiaomi 14
Believe me when I say this, both phones are absolute monsters! But I feel like the xiaomi 14 has the complete package

Very bad front camera Xiaomi
I heard there is problems with condensation on the lens? Any thoughts?
Rubbish
The Xiaomi 14 does have a lens condensation problem which is all over Reddit at the moment. You only have to Google this problem and the information is there. Tests have proven that there is actually moisture in the device from the factory, and when the lens heats up and the outside of the glass is colder, then condensation occurs. This is bad quality control.
@@neilmcguinness4422nonsense. I've been using it for months and no issues.
11:44 I've been using the Xiaomi Mi 8 for 6 years now and it doesn't feel "cheap" at all. Now it looks like new. Maybe some models before it, but Mi 8 is one of the best phones (for only 400$). As a replacement, I'm taking this very model :)
Xiaomi 13 user here. (Yes, not Xiaomi 14.) Glad to see how Xiaomi has improved their compact flagship. It's still not perfect, as they still have work on the front facing selfie camera. But overall, it's a pretty decent phone. If they manage to improve the exposure and focus on videos to make them more stable and reliable, I believe their phones can beat the other phones in the market.
Hi , in Xiaomi 14 with normal using like browsing and social media apps is the phone get worm? , what about the battery life screen on time for social media apps with wifi ?
There is currently no mobile phone equipped with an 8gen3 chip that heats up during moderate to mild conditions.

Yes after moderate use the phone turns into a 🪱 and crawls away. So much for that flagship experience

Since the Xiaomi isn't distributed in the states it would greatly help if you discussed how it gets along (or not) with 4G and 5G bands in the USA. You also didn't mention whether it has a sim-card tray.
Yes it has a SIM card tray :) service depends on which carrier you have. I have T-Mobile and it works great
The Xiaomi 14 has more 5G bands that are readily available in US networks as opposed to xiaomi 13.
Just search for the bands available in your area and compare to it whether or not xiaomi 14 supports those bands. A little google search will solve your problem
@MarksTech did you get the global or Chinese version. I believe the Chinese version has less compatibility with US and 4G bands
@bobareturned global :)
The notification has come to u just now that someone liked your comment. I am that
I`m using Xiaomi 14 and for sure the experience is very smooth with this phone.
I prefer almost every picture taken by the S24 despite the theoritical weaker hardware. Much more details and I think even the colors are better.
By s24 with snapdragon.the exonys sucks in camera
@@hitmarker777 Yeah I know Exynos S24 is trash but camera output is still better than Xiaomi.
@@stephkm3655you do know that samsung auto corrects the photos and it's almost artificial ones. But if thats what you like. I'm fine with it. Also there are apps such as snapseed where you can edit your fotos for them to look even better than the flagship versions. 😂
This was really a camera comparison between the two devices really. At least in my humble opinion.

Actually the Xiaomi 14 telephoto is really only 2.6x zoom. They use 3.2x but that is only a crop as the camera only uses 32mp of the sensor rather than 50mp. You'll notice it switches to telephoto at 2.6x rather than 3.2x if you use slider to zoom
It was like that on previous models as far as i know, the 14 series fixed it i think

Between Xiaomi 14 and Samsung 24, I choose S23 as it's on a huge discount 😂😂😂
For me as an European, the camera and battery comparisons are not relevant as the exynos version of the s24 is not the same phone as the Snapdragon one. Inferior in many ways. You should consider importing one and do comparisons.
It's time to ban those brand.. over pricing.. they are selling by name.. not the quality...
There's also the camera fogging issue in xiaomi 14..

You know what is interesting? I found an photo from 2021 and a photo from yesterday. Same picture. old was took with Xiaomi Mi11, and now I have an S23. ( S23=S24 in camera ).
Does the Xiaomi has Desktop Mode like Samsung Dex or Motorola Ready For? Thanks
Which one do you prefer to buy for using inl daily life?
Mark my man what are u saying??? That samsung costs 80000/- inr in India and xiaomi 14 costs 70000/- inr.. What's the deal bro u sayin xiaomi is more. Expensive.. Wow
Do you have a brain? Don't you know prices can vary between regions? If I'm not wrong it costs $699-850 in Asian countries and $999 everywhere else.
Here in Europe we never get those kind of deals for samsung, google or apple phones!
It's a no brainer to get Xiaomi 14 12GB + 256, since it cost less than S24 in China.
I got the MI 14 for 700usd imported from China, I don't think it can get better than that. Clear choice here
If you are a Xiaomi fan, then go with Xiaomi. IF you are a Samsung fan, then go with Samsung. Simple as that.
But as a Samsung fan you could also give the Xiaomi a try
And how is Xiaomi 2 years behind?
4:12 you got it 👍 + a comment
In my country we have them at the same price for 700$ and the s24 come with exynos💔 so the decision is obvious and it is Xiaomi 14
Good choice!
Today in this day an age 2024 no flagship phone should take more than an hour to charge that is ridiculous. Samsung really needs to step up and improve when it comes to charging.
I like S24 photos and esp. video a lot more on S24.
I love good night photography! According to your video, Samsung Galaxy S24 night pics are better. No worries, that was also a help ;)! Thanks
