I don’t get the “you’re not old enough to make a decision” defense, yet I’m constantly asked: “What job do you want?” What college are you going to?” “What are you majoring in?” I’m supposed to be able to make decisions that will supposedly affect my entire future when I have no idea what I want , but someone that knows who they are “are too young to make a decision”
Or the simple hypocrisy of assuming all kids are cishet and will want kids and get married, but when it's this way it's not creepy, nor sexualising them, and they are totally "old enough to know", right?
I mean you answered that yourself, the world is just built different :p although the argument for not old enough to know your preferences is super off base.
Exactly! And not to mention, not being attracted to a particular gender doesn't mean you're discriminating against it. It's like saying that gay men are (inherently) misogynistic or that lesbians are (inherently) misandrystic.
bisexual nb person here! I also used to date a lesbian even after coming out so uh, sexuality and labels are a weird thing, why do you need to feel the need to label yourself otherwise? /nbh
Regarding the "billionaire corporations" joke: a lot of companies like to slap rainbows on everything they can during pride month, so the joke is that they're the B in LGBTQ+
The "Dear LGBTQ you are alive because of two straight people" thing has always confused and slightly pissed me off...From a personal perspective, my parents are divorced but my dad is bisexual and my mum is a lesbian, my step-mum (Her wife) is also bisexual like-...literally none of my parents are straight...My mum thought she was for a good 30 odd years but realised after she had children...assuming everyone is straight and comes from straight parents has never sat right with me tbh :L :L
Also literally every person is descended from how many millions of ancestors, who all had to get together for them to be made exactly the way they are (so not "two people" lol). And not being attracted to the opposite sex (or being attracted to the same gender) doesn't mean you can't have children with them as it doesn't make you impotent or infertile. So, basically, due to comphet and the expectation to procreate (plus denial and a lot of queer people in history probably not knowing or acknowledging they were), most people would have had children regardless of their actual sexualities. Which means that everyone is also alive due to millions of queer ancestors who had a huge part in making them. By this logic, people should thank them all for their existence as well. It's ultimately irrelevant though, because how does being descended from straight people undermine current LGBTQ+ people's identities and their existence?!
I'll always find it amazing that so many LGBTQ+phobes will believe the idea of a virgin birth sooner than the idea of not all people's parents are straight
For me as someone who's NB and Bi, The attraction to men and women has different vibes. I'm attracted to masculinity and femininity differently and other non binaries also hit a different spot. I'm bi and not pan because in my mind, the attraction varies based off gender. That's my reasoning behind it, others may interpret themselves differently.
This helps me! I thought I identified as pan, maybe bc my friend also does, but I've been having doubts and hearing this I think I'm bi! ty internet stranger!
I am the exact same way! I would recommend looking into the term omnisexual because what you're describing sounds a lot like that -- I identify as both Omni and bi since omni falls under the bi umbrella. For anyone wondering, basically: - omnisexual = attraction to ALL genders but with gender playing a role in attraction (like having preferences or attraction to different genders feeling different) - pansexual -- attraction to people regardless of gender - bisexual -- attraction to more than one gender (or genders similar to and different to your own -- definitions vary) Anyway yeah! Ofc no hate intended towards any groups, this is just what I see the definitions as and it's helped me a lot to find a fitting label, which is omni!
So I am trying to educate myself a bit more As a bisexual, how would you describe bisexuality, pansexuality, and omnisexuality? Along with that, how would you explain the terms biromantic, panromantic, and omniromantic? It's fine if you don't know or don't care to answer
@@randommeowthekitty6482 I can explain! Bisexual is being sexually attracted to two or more genders instead of just one. Pansexual is being attracted to all genders, but differs from bisexuality in that pansexuals are genderblind: it's about the personality, not what's in your pants. Omnisexual is being attracted to two or more/all genders but having a preference of one gender over another. And as a bonus that falls under the same umbrella, Polysexual is being attracted to multiple but not all genders. Biromatic, Panromantic, Omniromantic and Polyromantic are all the same, but the attraction is purely romantic and not sexual. I love your initiative, and it's great that your willing to learn about the community! Thanks for asking!
I'm pansexual and was told I was biphobic because I wouldn't identify as bi, and bisexuals get told they're transphobic for not identifying as pan. 🙄 These arguments are both utter nonsense. Leave people alone.
same, i'm pan also, our sexualities are so similar and we need to stick together. It pains me when I see Bi people getting annoyed at pan people and visa versa. can people please just be nice?
I remember someone I followed on Instagram who is bi, and they were saying pansexuals were the same as the super straights because they were both transphobic. I feel like people are just pulling things out of their asses so they can justify hating another group of people.

"Bisexuals are transphobic." Me, a bisexual mama, gladly disowning transphobic relatives because I love all my kids in equal measure and one of them is enby. 💗💜💙
bisexual means being attracted to "two or more" genders, so even if you're attracted to a nb person you can still identify as bi. i'm bi and i am attracted to nb people as well, for example. i think the actual difference between bi and pan is that for pansexuals the gender "doesn't matter" while for bisexuals it's more like being attracted to several genders if that makes sense? i'm bad at saying things. TL;DR people who say bisexuals are inherently phobic against nonbinary people need to do their research
@@acetronaut poly means being attracted to multiple genders but not necessarily any gender. Also falls under the umbrella term of bisexual (as does pan in depending on how u see it) but is also it's own identity if you prefer identifying like that.
Well actually Sexuality isnt determined by genes. Or at least not entirely. There where test with one egg twins. And they could have different sexualitys.
I was very in denial as a NB trans person and Jamie helped me come to terms with my identity so I can kinda relate to that. I do wish you the best and congrats for figuring yourself out!
I feel like when most people think of the lgbtq+ community they think of gay dudes, lesbians, and binary trans people and then forget about multisexual, ace, and nb/gender fluid/etc.
In reference to the "funny how they marry a man when they're older" as a bisexual woman, because of that belief, I ended up marrying a man because men were the only ones who would date me, even when I actively tried to date women. Once they heard I was bi they were not interested so I honestly gave up. Btw im just saying that as my personal experience. I've seen many beautiful relationships with lesbian and bisexual women. ☺️
YES. Thank you for sharing your story! Mine has been similar (so far). Biphobia from ladies, “I’ll convert you” from men, like… I am exhausted with just about everyone. NB folx, not you yet. But mostly because you’re a little more rare. Every gender has their own bullshit, for real. It’s just tough finding the right person. Best dates overall? Bi men. Just my personal experience. I will drop everything for a bi guy.
Fr! I actually prefer women a little more than most men and yet I’ve been with a lot more men than women. When I go on dates with women and they hear I’m bi they’re suddenly no longer attracted because I’ve been with men? The two women I have been with were also bi.
The whole “bisexual is transphobic” thing reminds me of that time a “friend” (not any more) told me she was coming out as Pansexual and I sort of said “oh yeah, cool, I know you’ve been questioning for a while-“ and she interrupted that by saying “Because I’m attracted to a trans guy.” I was already starting to move away from being friends with her for a host of other reasons but this moment really solidified that, especially since I was out as trans myself at that point. At least she now understands that’s not how it works and she just identifies as straight now, but it was still a big Oof
@notaxoner I also find it subtly transphobic Like, subtly-subtly Because that implies that transgender men and women are not men and women, and something really separate Maybe that's just me
Some people just don't know better. If she found out herself that's totally okay and shows that she made progress. You learn best from your mistakes. It's sad if she accidentally hurt you, but nobody's perfect.
Idk, saying you are pan because of a binary trans person feels more trans phobic than being bi and liking binary trans people. I personally identify as bi and am a nonbinary trans person. People would probably say I should be pan, but I dont like all genders. And I have a bad association with the label pan for myself. A lot of internalized biphobia I'm trying to get over.
No. I'm fairy sexret she gets rainbow wings and Leanna has a lesbian colour scheme in diamond castle. Though both Alexa and Raquel get bisexual colour schemes But there is like the whole Canon of most movies being movies in the barbie universe which is why she has different names. So Diamond castle barbie is definitely lesbian, while it seems that Barbie in the real Canon of the character is under the lgbt, just not specified
The person who said "you are alive because of two straight people" clearly has not read the hundreds upon thousands of documented instances where it was clearly stated someone married their spouse purely because they would otherwise be condemned if they married their true lover of the same sex, or otherwise because they were in denial about their sexuality because their environment indicated that anything other than the societally established "norm" was not okay. The hundreds and thousands of letters and soliloquies we have found written to "lovers" of the same sex describing just this, many of whom did have children with their spouse. The textual documentation from the 1500's, 1600's and so forth showing it was normal for men and women to have homosexual relationships up until and following the point of marriage that eventually became not the norm at least in part because of the Catholic church and similar foreboding entities.
I don’t understand their argument anyways, if both my parents were lawyers, do I have to be a lawyer? Maybe that Doesn’t really hit the point… but their argument would only work if by not being straight people would hate people who are straight, which is not true?? 🤦🏻♀️ it’s so confusing to me
@@LetsBiiny It's actually very simple. They're projecting their own hate and fear of homosexuals onto queer people, thinking they are the ones hating hetero peeps. Typical bigotry: projection of ones fear, disgust, hate, ignorance and confusion.
Yes and that they most of the time do not do things in their business practices that are inclusive or do contradictory things therefore defeating the purpose.
Yeah, I think that's it. I don't like Rainbow Capitalism and can get behind that part of the message. It still was a conscious decision on someone's part to erase bisexuals as a part of that message. It does make me wonder if this person also belief that bisexuality don't exist and it's straight girls who want to be quirky/gay guys who aren't ready to come all the way out 🙄 . Obviously I have no way of knowing if that's true but it might be why they used B. It certainly isn't because none of the other letters would work (G- giant corporations, L - large corporations; lazy corporations, T - I can't think of one off hand but I would be just upset about T being erased, A - asshole corporations (would be just as upset about A's erasure as well)). The point is it was a choice someone made. Maybe they made it because billionaire corporations was the first thing they thought of and it had nothing to do with which letter they were changing. Maybe the did it because they don't feel like the B belongs.
@@EirynKatherine I think a lot of it is that the B is in the perfect spot for comedic timing. There's a lot of similar jokes like: My weekend plans! 1. Beauty sleep 2. Getting a facial 3. Arson 4. Spa day
That “fake gay” thing really stands out to me. I mentioned in a post that I’m glad to be a part of the LGBTQIAP+ community, and a user who says she’s lesbian attacked me in my DMs saying people like me who have the back up option of being with a guy (I identify as female) shouldn’t pretend to be a part of the community, and that it’s a safe space reserved only for the “real gays”. 😒
I don't understand people who say if you're under 18 and you identify as bi you're doing it for the 'trend'? it isn't a 'decision' that can be made too young because it is not a decision, it's something you discover about yourself that you didn't understand/know about before. Most people in the LGBTQIA+ community discover their identities while they are minors. And it's nobody's business or right to tell them they're wrong.
What gets me is if you're straight (or appear to be) and you're three years old that's natural and right but if you're anything else and under 25 it's "OH NO YOU'RE TOO YOUNG TO KNOW ANYTHING" Of couse if you're over 25 then those same people will probably tell you you're sinful or "making wrong choices". The whole choices and lifestyle thing gets right up my nose.
Bigots: "gotta get that moral/intellectual high ground!" It's basically then saying "I'm smarter than you, you dumbass" but sugar coat it by saying you're too young
The best interpretation I can make is that in some isolated cases people will identify as bi as a stepping stone towards identifying as gay. But my main point is WHY DO SOME PEOPLE CARE WHY SOMEBODY IDENTIFY AS THEY DO? Even if it was a "trend", which I find very hard to believe, so what? Do they harm anybody in any way? Who cares how and why they do what they do? They do not have to pass an exam by the sex board to get their bi certificate, do they? Even if "fake gays" (?) actually existed, so what? "People are having sex wrong!" O the horror.
(some)Lesbians: "bi girls are actually straight" Bi girls: "would you go out?" Lesbians: "no, you're straight" Bi girls: *go out with men instead* Lesbians: "SEE? THEY'RE STRAIGHT"
Another thing these people can't grasp is that they're are more men that are attracted to women then women who are attracted to women. So it's much more likely for them to end up with a man and vice versa for bi men, it's not that they're secretly straight it's simple probability.
@@indie3042 I think it’s because most people subconsciously don’t like us lesbians, I never say bisexual people to say lesbophobes but it’s always lesbians who are biphobes and not “biphobic people”
@@scarletempress2652 I suppose I honestly don’t know that many lesbians besides me gf and are mainly surrounded by bisexual people wich I have to call out their lesbophobia especially against masc lesbians and nb lesbians but obviously I don’t know how it is for bisexual people
From a trans aroace who definitely has seen his fair share of erasure himself: I see and appreciate all of you bi- and pansexual people, and everyone else using labels that don't get valued as much as they should ♥
I'll never stop talking about how that one time I went to a therapist who was SHOCKED when I said I was bi and spent most of our meeting going on and on about how I'm old enough to know if I'm gay or straight and kept saying I need to make up my mind because it's childish... I obviously never met with her again. It was an awful experience for me as a young adult.
Reminder that being bi/pan but being mostly attracted to the opposite gender is not a bad thing. It's perfectly normal. Same goes for AFAB and AMAB nb folks
This is precisely why it took me so long to feel comfortable identifying as bi. Because especially when I was growing up in the 70s and 80s, gender was mostly considered binary by the general population and the consensus was that you had to have an equal attraction to both men and women to be bisexual. They literally used to say in books and magazines and advice columns that it was normal for heterosexual girls to have crushes on each other and even fool around but that didn't mean you were lesbian or bi if you had any level of preference towards men (and presumably if you preferred women, then you were just a confused lesbian, I guess).
YES! This a thousand times. Especially if the person in question grew up in a bigoted environment. Of course you’re going to be more attracted to the oposite sex as a bi person in that kind of environment. It’s just unfortunate but very much needed subconscious survival skills.
Appreciate this comment! Though I don't really know why you divided nonbinary people up into 'AMAB' and 'AFAB'? It isn't super great to do that when it isn't directly relevant. Nonbinary people are just nonbinary. Mentioning assigned gender at birth can come across like putting us into binary categories if it is brought up when not relevant. Maybe what you were trying to say is 'Nonbinary people in straight passing relationships'
@@missnaomi613 Also in my 40s now and I've spent most of my life joking that I'm straight but with a little bi streak. Then I realised nope. I'm just bi. Also demisexual and nonbinary instead of a ciswoman. and autistic My midlife "crisis" has been incredibly freeing!
Re. bisexuals being transphobic if they don't adopt pansexual as a label instead - many bisexuals also include nonbinary people in their adoption of the label bisexual as well, and movements have been made within the community since the 90s to widen the definition of bisexual as 'attracted to more than one gender' or 'attracted to two or more genders' rather than 'attracted to men and women' to be inclusive of a vast diversity of gender identity and expression (but still includes 'attraction to men and women' under that umbrella). On the other hand, pansexual is defined as 'attraction regardless of gender' or 'gender is not a factor in who I'm attracted to', which is distinct in and of itself. There is some crossover between the two, and some may fluctuate between labels, but for others the difference between them is very important and stark. The idea that bisexuals are inherently transphobic for using that label, or that pansexuality is just essentially 'the trans inclusive version of bisexuality', just totally shits on both identities and the people who exist under them. Anyway, looove the video, as always, and I'm going to take my bi self and go back to sweet sweet invisibility now 😋
I identify as both bi and pan, because sometimes I attracted to aspects related to a person's gender identity/lack thereof or expression (which is my bi side) and sometimes the attraction has nothing to do with the person's gender, with the most common example being passionate geeky types (which I consider me being pan.) I was a closeted "bi" back in the 90's when I was still figuring things out, but always thought the Kensey scale was...well, useful for what it as but woefully inadequate, and the community didn't feel welcoming back then. Recently, a friend of mine suggested I look into abrosexuality (a label used to describe fluctuations in sexual preferences) and that might technically apply but I'm rather attached to being both bi and pan. I didn't feel comfortable coming out until I started learning about pansexuality, because bi sort of fit but didn't describe everything.
I am just confused about some people insisting on knowing it all and needing to put labels on others instead of letting them decide based on the proper definitions. I'm beer (I like beer 😆), married and have two sons, but that doesn't change my sexual attraction. I am still attracted to women (including trans women). Some stubborn discussions just melt my brain in a way I am not sure what I should label myself. I'll stick with beer for now.

@@RoselSmidheda It was during one of the future episodes that start out with a bunch of Christmas photos. The photo in question was Lisa sitting on the couch with her two girlfriends, but in that very episode it shows her married to Milhouse. Bisexuality isn't transphobic just as Pansexuality isn't transphobic. No multisexual label that isn't Bisexual is Biphobic and I'll happily discuss in the reply section. ♡
Thank you I hate it when people say bisexuality is transphobic and when any sexuality who loves two or more genders (that's isn't bisexual) is bi phobic is weird I'm glad somebody finaly calls this out
Thank you i'm so tired of cis peoples claiming being bi is transphobic when I'm bi and trans is really anoying. Plus pan people aren't inerently transphobic neither, my partner is and they're the person I've dated that respect me the most.
@@junkoenoshima2756Absolutely. ANY sexuality CAN be transphobic. You can be Straight, gay, even bi. EVEN pan! It all depends on how the individual who claims that label goes about it. And any label can be Biphobic! Straight, gay, pan, omni, etc. Again it just depends on one's internal definition of that label and how they go about expressing it. But no label (with some niche debatable exceptions) is inherently any of these things.
Bi people can be in a homosexual relationship or a heterosexual relationship. That doesn't make them gay/lesbian or straight, they didn't choose a side, they are still bi regardless of who they do or dont date
One thing that really bothers me as a pan woman is when I’m with a woman or someone who presents that way I’m considered lgbtq+ but if I’m with a man people just consider me straight.
One of my mental health groups shared an awesome meme about this. "When Bi people are in a relationship, they haven't chosen a side, they've chosen a partner."
the fact that some people say young people are bi/pan just bc they wanna be "trendy" hurts me bc so many kids including myself have a hard time accepting their sexuality and coming out to their friends and family with the fear of not being accepted. and they try so hard to gather up the courage and then some people go and say tell them "you are just doing it bc its a trend" like wtf it hurts
I think it comes a lot from people, who grew up with a lot of bigoted ideas, but now are coming around to accepting gay people. They are now unconsciously trying to hold on to some bigoted ideas, because that's what they are used to and therefore are comfortable with. It's just the next step on the long road to acceptance these people are walking Waaaaaay too slowly
Some people faced discrimination because of their sexuality. In their eyes bisexual/pansexual people can ease their way out by just deciding to straight pass (since there are also much more straight people available) and shouldn't take away the remaining gays from "real" gays. That's two reasons. Other reasons could be that they were hurt by a bisexual or cheated on by one. I mean it can happen in any relationship, that's how life is. Another reason is bad education and bigotry like the other person said. I hope I could help you out. ^^
I didn't "turn" straight when I married my husband. I fell in love with someone, he just happens to be male. I promise I'm still very much attracted to women lol. Plus, people forget things like aromantic, homoromantic, and forget that people can be also panromantic and asexual. Or anywhere in between!!
I hate how people say, that if you've only (or mainly) been in relationships with men that you're not actually bi. Like excuse me? So if I'm not in a relationship at all I'm aromantic or??? It just doesn't make any sense. Also do you know how hard it is to find a lesbian or bi girl that you actually like and want a relationship with at the same time that she wants a relationship with you? The pool for gay relationships is just way smaller and theres a lot of girls that WANT relationships that already are in relationships, alot don't want to be in relationships at all, and then you also have to like the girl that's single and wants to be in a relationship. So yeah mainly dating guys as a bi girl makes fucking sense
Yeah, whoever says that bi people get "twice" the options deserves a head slap, seriously. Between all of those things, *and* biphobia from both sides, it kind of breaks even. 😑😑 At least until more people drop the dumbass stereotypes
I define the difference between pan- and bisexual as follows: when you're bisexual, you like any gender but it does influence how you experience that attraction. When you're pansexual, gender does not influence the attraction
A lot of bi people (including myself) don't define it that way. I don't care about gender. It forms no part of my attraction. There are a few bisexuals who I've seen say that they do but a lot of don't. Whether you identify as bisexual or pansexual really is which feels right to you. There's a lot of overlap and trying to make a solid boundary can do damage, whether that's calling bi people transphobic or that's saying pan people just want to feel special. I identify as bisexual because gender doesn't influence my attraction and that's the label that felt right to me. My girlfriend identifies as pansexual because gender doesn't influence her attraction and bi felt limiting to her.
@@EirynKatherine Bisexuality and pansexuality don’t just overlap, bisexuality totally encompasses pansexuality. Any definition of bi that excludes pan people is false.
@@nsca1483 My overlap comment was more about them not being identical. I've seen, vere rarely, bisexuals who have said gender does affect their attraction in a way that makes it narrower than pan. I tend to agree that bisexual covers pan, but as a bisexual I feel uncomfortable telling anyone that their identity is a subsection of mine.
@@EirynKatherine Of course there is diversity among bisexuals. Some bisexuals having gender preferences don’t make those who don’t any less bisexual. If a pansexual person doesn’t recognise this, that’s the fault of their own ignorance. It makes me uncomfortable to see people redefining bisexuality in a way that undermines its flexibility and inclusivity.
I love how people erase bi people because we end up with people of the opposite sex sometimes. Like, just statistically there are way more straight people, so meeting a straight partner is bound to happen a lot of the time.

Loved this video so much! Bi, married to a man. The first time a friend and I went to PRIDE when we left, all she could talk about was how included and welcomed she felt and wasn't it amazing to see so many people like us...People gave her bracelets, draped flags around her, pictures with her when she said she was guy. I got a side-eye "...oh" when I said I was bi. Same situation when we went to a lesbian book club together. I went to a bar for drinks with women I worked with, her wife got angry and started yelling at me because she couldn't tell if I was straight or gay... Absolutely love LGBTQ+ people, don't feel very welcome or accepted by them though.

Look. Just because someone's gay, it doesn't mean they're sterile.
They seem to be ignoring several generations of LGBT people who were forced into hiding due to rampant homophobia
I also love the gay parents will raise gay kids thing like because millions of straight parents totally didn't raise gay kids
There are plenty of gay men who donate sperm they could also get a surrogate to have kids, so one of your bio parents would be gay
@@momotaro1236 Or even lesbian women who conceive through sperm donors.
@@theemofemboycatgirlw3214 Or even bi or pan parents who are in a heterosexual relationship. Heterosexual ≠ Straight, as Jamie has shown.
It is indeed possible for a lesbian to have sex with a man and still be a lesbian. Some people have a hard time understanding that.
I'll always find it amazing that so many LGBTQ+phobes will believe the idea of a virgin birth sooner than the idea of not all people's parents are straight
they also forget about trans/cis relationships. thats just another way for 2 men/2 women to have kids biologically
Whoops, there's a troll in this comment section. Better ignore them people.
That's basically how I see it too!
I am the exact same way! I would recommend looking into the term omnisexual because what you're describing sounds a lot like that -- I identify as both Omni and bi since omni falls under the bi umbrella.
For anyone wondering, basically:
- omnisexual = attraction to ALL genders but with gender playing a role in attraction (like having preferences or attraction to different genders feeling different)
- pansexual -- attraction to people regardless of gender
- bisexual -- attraction to more than one gender (or genders similar to and different to your own -- definitions vary)
Anyway yeah! Ofc no hate intended towards any groups, this is just what I see the definitions as and it's helped me a lot to find a fitting label, which is omni!
So I am trying to educate myself a bit more
As a bisexual, how would you describe bisexuality, pansexuality, and omnisexuality?

What gets me is if you're straight (or appear to be) and you're three years old that's natural and right but if you're anything else and under 25 it's "OH NO YOU'RE TOO YOUNG TO KNOW ANYTHING"
Of couse if you're over 25 then those same people will probably tell you you're sinful or "making wrong choices". The whole choices and lifestyle thing gets right up my nose.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Bigots: "gotta get that moral/intellectual high ground!"
It's basically then saying "I'm smarter than you, you dumbass" but sugar coat it by saying you're too young
These are the same people that dress toddlers in "lady's man"

(some)Lesbians: "bi girls are actually straight"
Bi girls: "would you go out?"
Lesbians: "no, you're straight"
Bi girls: *go out with men instead*
Lesbians: "SEE? THEY'RE STRAIGHT"
Another thing these people can't grasp is that they're are more men that are attracted to women then women who are attracted to women. So it's much more likely for them to end up with a man and vice versa for bi men, it's not that they're secretly straight it's simple probability.

The most frustrating thing for me as a biromantic is when people tell omnisexual, polysexual, and pansexual people that they're "just bi" like, no???
Re. bisexuals being transphobic if they don't adopt pansexual as a label instead - many bisexuals also include nonbinary people in their adoption of the label bisexual as well, and movements have been made within the community since the 90s to widen the definition of bisexual as 'attracted to more than one gender' or 'attracted to two or more genders' rather than 'attracted to men and women' to be inclusive of a vast diversity of gender identity and expression (but still includes 'attraction to men and women' under that umbrella).

OH MY GOD, this reminded me of when my mom and aunt were talking about this celebrity who has yet to make public his sexuality. He is currently pursuing a woman but before he was said to like men. My mom and aunt said that he's flipping between being straight and gay and I said 'he could be bi (or pan)'. But they were insistent that he was flipping between the two and like ughhh bi people exist, you are literally talking to one ...

wonder if that person forgot about that blonde treehugger episode, or the scotsman(?)
@@RoselSmidheda It was during one of the future episodes that start out with a bunch of Christmas photos. The photo in question was Lisa sitting on the couch with her two girlfriends, but in that very episode it shows her married to Milhouse. The biphobe tried arguing that because she’s dating two women in the picture it was more natural to assume that she’s a lesbian and to assume anything else was unnecessary and lesbiaphobic. When people pointed out that she’s married to Milhouse in the very same episode she threw a fit.

æ
Thank you I hate it when people say bisexuality is transphobic and when any sexuality who loves two or more genders (that's isn't bisexual) is bi phobic is weird I'm glad somebody finaly calls this out
Thank you i'm so tired of cis peoples claiming being bi is transphobic when I'm bi and trans is really anoying.
Plus pan people aren't inerently transphobic neither, my partner is and they're the person I've dated that respect me the most.
Just as lesbians aren't transphobic, I was called transphobic by a classmate because I came out as lesbian to them
@@junkoenoshima2756Absolutely.
Thank You For Saying This, Seriously ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🌈🌈🌈👏👏👏🤗🤗🤗
One thing that really bothers me as a pan woman is when I’m with a woman or someone who presents that way I’m considered lgbtq+ but if I’m with a man people just consider me straight.

Bad joke sorry bye
One of my mental health groups shared an awesome meme about this. "When Bi people are in a relationship, they haven't chosen a side, they've chosen a partner."
the fact that some people say young people are bi/pan just bc they wanna be "trendy" hurts me bc so many kids including myself have a hard time accepting their sexuality and coming out to their friends and family with the fear of not being accepted. and they try so hard to gather up the courage and then some people go and say tell them "you are just doing it bc its a trend" like wtf it hurts
Theres a transportation company near us called Trans Bros and all I can say is I'm happy for them
omg i love that
I literally do not understand bi hate. How does it even compute in their brains as a logical standpoint to fight for?
Everyone: "You are alive because of two straight people"
Me, a bi, and my bi mom who ended up falling in love with a guy: *are we a joke to you?*
I didn't "turn" straight when I married my husband. I fell in love with someone, he just happens to be male. I promise I'm still very much attracted to women lol. Plus, people forget things like aromantic, homoromantic, and forget that people can be also panromantic and asexual. Or anywhere in between!!
YES THE BI HAIRCUT!!! specifically the bisexual lady bob (see korra, marceline)
I've got the side buzz. You know, half straight lady long, half lesbian short. All wonderful and pink.
"bye bye bi" is now going to be on my grave stone
Thats is the best thing to be on your grave stone, that's brilliant
I'm stealing that idea
When you're pansexual, gender does not influence the attraction
couldnt have said it better myself!
I tried to do research on Stuart little, but it was just people hating on him and a conservative saying Stuart doesn’t support gay marriage (with the stupidest evidence ever)

as a pansexual cis man, I completely disagree with whoever is calling bisexuals transphobic for not identifying as pansexual, our sexualities are so similar that the are pretty much sister sexualities (as someone from Anthony Padilla's spent a day with pansexuals video phrased it) our sexualities are so similar we need to stick together not push each other apart. "You can't ship her with another girl, she's been with tons of boys!"
Me, a Homoflexible who has dated tons of guys before finding out how much I really like women more:
With fictional characters some people prefer to stick with canon. And sometimes it can be a double edge sword. Some people are fine making a straight character gay or bi. But those same people would complain if someone made a gay character straight or bi.
I’m in a fandom were people have no problem shipping a canonically aro ace character.
Thank you! I am bi and when I talk to people about my sexuality or stuff like that I usually say, that I really don‘t care about the gender as long as there is an emotional as well as a physical attraction. And like you already said: trans women are women, trans men are men…so yeah didn‘t thought that‘s something you have to explain when you are bi and attracted to men and women.
6:34 This has brought back memories. While i'm not bi, both of my parents have said this about minors choosing there sexuality.
