It’s so nice hearing the original cast how they felt about Star Wars when it first came out and why it was such a success. Do you agree with his reasoning?
There’s an interview I found where Lucas explains what made the first one so popular and it could genuinely ring true now to what people want so badly - will edit it and put it up for you guys because it’s genuinely gut wrenching 😔
This is whta people misheard. Alec Guinness clealry like the movie and Star Wars as a whole, what HE DIDN'T LIKE is how the film got too big and how it overblowed and he was a little frustrated with the dialogue and some of the characterizations in the film which made him call "fairytale rubbish". He clearly cared about the art.
@@jaddenn7660 oh absolutely! He talks with real fondness and passion for the franchise as a whole - his only issue was some of the clunky dialogue but if you watch other interviews with the cast they all had that same problem and George was flexible enough to work with the cast
@@order66collectibles I honestly wished Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman are both brave enough like Alec and Mark to correct George Lucas with terrible dialogue during the prequels.
Absolutely - it’s that mashup of real historical events with some Tolkien lord of the rings and tales of King Arthur spliced with samurai and cowboy movies. A perfect smoothie
god, there's something so unreal about Star Wars, the fact that the franchise has changed so much sort of... hurts, in a way. I don't mind the prequels and even the clone wars, but the way everything else is post about episode IV excluding V and VI is sort of... ruining it
@@mcfixer9503 yeah evolution of a franchise is a good thing but where it feels like certain parts are being actively ignored because they don’t sit with a certain ideology or even simply people want to act like they didn’t happen it becomes twisted…twisted and evil some might say

If he saw it now oh how we weep

Sad the state that it’s in now
Yeah it really is 😔

👏👏👏.
He would hate the Acolyte 😂
Everyone hates the Acolyte.
@@danshaw3527 I don’t think he would find himself needing to turn the page that’s for sure
Hello there
@@Luke05311 the OG 😊
Its just a retelling ww2 spin off.
More like "inspired" by ww2 and seven samurai. With heavy doses of mysticsm and fantasy elements.
