    In a distant future video, how about the battle of bows under $100 or 100 Euros?

    I got curious about my arrows that have plastic vanes that I use for my barebow. I thought. Let me try to shoot one arrow off of my Arif Budiman bow, just to see what happens since katra should help clear the plastic veins off of the arrow pass. It doesn't seem to contact the bow. So I decided to record it in slow motion and as I suspected the plastic veins don't contact the bow!
    I've only tried it on the Turkish style bow though.

    I bought a snake bow for my first recurve. Can definitely recommend. Likely the best value beginner bow.

    I recent saw fit to put a 'set' reflex into my old quinine tree bow (the trees bark was the original source of the malaria med , there in bush Oz north NT) . . put a set into it as I could't full draw it then . . but I shot it heaps then anyway , it (quinine wood) is a fine flexible bow wood but only grows short & in rare area's in north Oz so hard to get a good timber supply . . I then & now string with good quality ss fine cable , swear by it

    Lovely Detailng Armin... I have Snake Bow.. and i find it very comfortable, good for learning, begining, easy to care, durable enough, best for learning stance and posture correction with learning of Draw techniques and Anchor Correction

    Thx Armin for another very accurate review 😉👍 I’ve got to Snake bows 18 and 22 lbs and the Mongo with 25# which I bought for Life Action Roleplay. I must admit, the bulky handle on the Mongo is also my only personal negative point on that bow. I used some handle wrapping tape, which is normally used for tennis rackets, to get a nicer grip on the snake bow. Makes it much more comfortable to use the snake bow. By the way you can get the snake bow for under 38€ at arrowforge online store in Germany.

    Superb. Once again a marvellous and engaging video. An expert and erudite critique. Loved it. I enjoyed the bit at the end too. Sweaty hands, hygiene, and club bows. Been there! Thank you Armin. You deserve many more subscribers.

    What do you usually make your nocking points on the string out of?
    Do some strings/bows come with them or do you need to make each one where you want it?
    I guess the easiest would be a piece of serving, but I don't know about buying an entire spool of serving material for a small nock :)
    Another question for the Noob Archer project :D :D

    • @ArminHirmer
      @ArminHirmer  5 років тому

      we use metal clips. some come with a nocking point some don't

    I must admit I'm a fan of FD bows. For the price the quality of the bows is outstanding. Currently, I own an English LB; Native American 'Sioux' bow; flat bow' and 2 Asiatic 'horse bows' from FD. I haven't tried their arrows yet due to the cost of shipment to New Zealand- have you any experience of their arrows, Armin? Wondering whether it is worth paying the high shipment costs as it works out about the same for buying quality arrows in NZ. Flaxen Saxon.

    Ok Armin. Have been devouring your excellent vids, I thank you and I have fallen at your feet as you have turned me into a traditional archer. My hopefully not too impertinent question for you is this - desert island, you have plenty of food and don’t need to hunt, but are only allowed one bow. Which one do you choose?

    Sir, what kind of arrows do you recommand for 26 pounds Rolan Snake bow?

    • @ArminHirmer
      @ArminHirmer  3 роки тому

      We use 600spine carbon

    • @igeorge1973
      @igeorge1973 3 роки тому

      Thank you sir! This is exactly what my seller recommended! Do you think 600 spine will also work with an 35 lbs Dacian made by Sav Archery? I'd like to have only one type of arrow if possible.
