I think they missed a target date for monsters inc. It should’ve come earlier - especially with all the Valentine’s Day themed stuff that didn’t get released until well after Valentine’s Day, and this whole roadmap probably got shifted and they didn’t say anything. They might still rush and only leave 8 day gaps but I definitely think they anticipated monsters inc would be out 2-3 weeks earlier than it was
Which would’ve left them a closer to normal 2 weeks between the later updates
It's a possibility, but we can't really be too sure! Unfortunately, as you're pointing out, Gameloft doesn't seem to always have the *best* communication. This is the 3rd Content Roadmap we've seen, and they have yet to miss a seasonal deadline... but if they were going to, would they tell us? So far, the roadmap has been accurate considering Monsters Inc. still released in late winter.
At the end of the day, if the roadmap remains accurate and each update's Star Path is the same duration, then the dates in this video are the most likely outcome.
It's also worth mentioning that Gameloft is known for intentionally giving us certain holiday content *after* a holiday ends. If Monsters Inc. was late, it was probably because they were scrambling to fix the Dreamlight bug and glitchy pixel bug that came with multiplayer on December 5th.
Lastly, another thing mentioned in the video is that even if Gameloft *is* on schedule, nothing says they *won't* encounter a delay or technical issues!
I personally don't think so. I think they release stuff late. Look at all the xmas/winter stuff being released in January. I just think they're bad at time keeping, lol.😅

@alyssataylor6473 😂 That was the first thing I thought of when reading this comment. That darn Christmas gingerbread bunny came to the shop in the *last* week of January even though Data Miners found it *in* the game on December 5th! Like, WHY?! 😂

On a personal level, I don't know why, but I always consider, march, april and May to be spring. So by that stance, early spring for me, is already happening, but I appreciate, seasonal changes etc are different in different countries. I am in Scotland, and I know the calendar dictates spring starts around the end of march, so by that defintion, your prediction is as near as dammit, and I suspect you are right on this, going by previous star paths.
It's crazy to think, we have only had 2 weeks of this current update. I am excited for the year ahead. Mulan is going to be an interesting update. Can just imagine the decor for that. 😍😍

Thank you for the kind words! I have some friends out in Australia and their seasons are SO far off from mine! I'm pretty sure Gameloft headquaters is in France but for whatever reason the usually break things down into EST (Which happens to be my time zone!) It definitely helps when making predictions and following the roadmap!
And just a note, we are given a week after star path ends to redeem the tokens. So I agree with 4/24
Yes! It all makes sense and I'm surprised I didn't see it sooner! Though, I wasn't really looking for it and it recently hit me when somebody on stream asked how much time was left in the Star Path! The only thing that could shake up this timeline would be Gameloft making one of the Star Paths far shorter than normal... and they've never done that before so I'm not expecting it here!

Honestly, I was a bit shocked to hear when spring is supposed to end, as I consider April & May to be the spring months. To be fair, I grew up in Lapland, and we tended to group the seasons into 8 instead of 4. Winter (December, January, February), spring-winter (March), spring (April, early May), spring-summer (May, early June), summer (June, July), summer-autumn (August), autumn(September, early October), autumn-winter (October, November). Really interesting how people label/place seasonal changes, especially depending on where they're from.

There's certainly a lot to look forward! The Monsters Inc update brought some REALLY cool new features and changes to the game. Especially in terms of QOL. I'm excited to see what the next updates hold!

For sure! Mainly because we don't have anything on the roadmap following Tiana so we don't know what the seasonal time frame will be for the next update!
I agree that the devs were late putting out the update for the Laugh Floor…and the fact that they actually said it’s early spring (right now…um hello it’s almost mid spring!!) technically speaking, Spring started 3/20-3/21 and will end 6/21-6/22; and Summer will begin the following day, for 3 months and etc etc so that we have 4 seasons and tbh getting a ton of items and challenges that were right after Christmas and the 2 princess outfits looked like they were gonna be in heavy snow- I think that’s when things started coming from them late.
I live in Texas and the pasty I love in does get all 4 seasons albeit we mainly don’t get snow and our Springs and Falls do get cut off by summer so mostly it’s alot hot and humid 😅
I hope when the devs “were taking notes” from you Senpai, that they’ll get their a$$’s in gear and get back on track! lol

I love your predictions of the up coming roadmap! Mine was for Daisy March 19th-April 9th for the early spring, for Mulan May 16th-June 19th and Tiana sometime in July. I didn’t pay attention when one of the devs mentioned about more star path. So that’s why my predictions for the release dates were what I picked.
I’m looking forward to seeing what Dreamlight Valley has in store for us. The current starpath has been one of my favorite they have yet to release.

I hope so, too! It does seem to be the most *realistic* timeline. That said, anything can happen with game development. The multiplayer feature that rolled out on December 5th came with some problematic bugs Gameloft had to scramble to fix. When these things happen, timelines can and will get pushed back!
With that in mind, if the devs don't hit roadblocks, I believe this video will prove accurate! 😁

Most of the time, my predictions are accurate, and if not, they're usually only off by one week! Following the math, this is really the *only* timeline that makes sense. Though, as I stated in the video, nothing says Gameloft will actually meet these deadlines!

Hey Senpai, great video. I found something interesting with Mulan's tentative release on June 19th. Mulan had its full theatrical release in the United States & Canada on June 19, 1998. It premiered June 5, 1998, at the Hollywood Bowl in LA. Unfortunately, I couldn't make any connections with Daisy and Tiana. Have a great day! Thank you for the awesome videos!

the updates from between the beauty and the beast update up to the monsters inc update, theres usually a week to a month in-between after each star path ends
Yes! That is correct for those 2 updates but that is not the case with all updates! The developers said during the showcase that all of these updates have there own star paths. If there are multiple weeks in between them, the Roadmap won't be accurate.

I think you're spot on. They seem to release new updates every other month.
So I'd imagine the Fall update would drop mid October in time for the Halloween event, and then early-mid December for this year's Festive update.
What I'd like to know is will the Eternity Isle updates drop on the same day as the DDV ones or will they stagger them out?
I've been curious about this, too... The Daisy update says "early sping," but the eternity isle content just says "spring" so I'm not sure!

Thanks, Stormie! Sadly not! Since the DLC updates don't have a Star Path timeline and may be coming on different days from the free updates, it's very hard to make an accurate prediction.

Haha very true! A lot of people seem to think monsters inc was late despite the video falling into the roadmap time frame because the star path was geared towards Valentine's! Who knows? If it was late, it was likely due to the devs scrambling to fix the glitchy pixel duplicate bug deleting Dreamlight.

Hello! The information you're looking for is in this video, hope you enjoy it! These are the absolute most likely dates considering everything we've heard from the devs and seen from Gameloft.
Do we know if the Rift in Time update will release on the same day as the Daisy update? The expansion roadmap just says spring 2024, I believe.
You know, I've actually been *very* curious about this myself, but I haven't seen any concrete information on it! I hope the Rift in Time content comes at the same time as the Daisy content, but I noticed the same thing about it saying "spring" but haven't seen or heard any additional information on it.
do you have a prediction on rift in time cause i could be wrong but i think the aladin characters will be locked behind rift in time and there will be more paywalls for certain characters
I've talked about this a lot on my stream and I'm REALLY hoping it's Alladin. Ever since the roadmap revealed a mystery villager coming to the DLC I've been pretty adamant about it being Alladin... I mean, we're supposed to defeat Jafar at the end of the "Rift in Time" update dropping this summer. If we defeat Jafar without even meeting Alladin that would disappoint MANY players. Additionally, I believe monkeys were added to the game because they needed a character model for Abu. I think we'll be seeing both Alladin and his little monkey companion, hopefully next update!

how do you factor in the fact that at the end of each star path to give people time to spend their tokens they give them about a week?
If you look at the timeline here, there is "about a week" in between each star path. Giving players the opportunity to spend their tokens!
8 days between Monsters & Daisy, 6 days between Daisy & Mulan, 6 Days between Mulan and Tiana (though as mentioned, Tiana is the most likely to come out a bit later)
It's important to keep in mind that the dates I am offering here are NOT concrete. Even if Gameloft themselves gave a release date right now... it wouldn't be concrete. Like I stated in the video, anything can happen with game developement and this is why Gameloft doesn't like to give release dates far in advance.
The entire point of this video is to provide you with my *best* prediction using the information we currently have.

The Daisy update says "early sping," but the DLC update below it just says "spring."
On top of that, there are no numbers to follow regarding the DLC updates. Thanks to the showcase, we know each free update has its own Star Path, allowing us to follow the 50-day timeline. Sadly, I can't apply these same numbers to the DLC updates.
I would have loved to include the DLC in this video, but I'd hate to give you or anyone else information or a prediction without any backing, cause, or evidence behind it!
As of right now, it looks like the first DLC update will be released sometime between Daisy and Mulan. (Maybe even along with Daisy.) As soon as I have some more information to go on, I'll put out some content on it! 😁

@jewel2662 Hey Jewel! I have some good news for you!
First off, you actually WILL be able to get everything from the Daisy update. Starpaths are like season passes. You don't have to be playing the game RIGHT when they drop because the starpaths STAY active for several weeks.
We're still in the middle of the Daisy update, so you have plenty of time to get the items from the Daisy update. You'll just need to complete the Starpath before it expires. I have a video on my channel that gives 5 tips on completing a Starpath quickly.
Secondly, yes, you did miss the "Laugh Floor" or "Monsters Inc" update! HOWEVER, you will still be able to play through the Monsters Inc quests and enjoy the content from that update.
Concerning the "Lovely Monsters" Starpath that you missed, don't worry! Items from old Starpaths DO eventually return to the game in the premium shop. You'll have to wait a while for the items to come back around, but eventually, they will! This gives you time to learn how to compete in Dreamsnaps and earn moonstones.
My advice is to visit the Dreamlight Wiki website and look through all of the old Starpath items and decide what you want vs what you're willing to pass on. Save your moonstones for the items you like the most. They will eventually show up in the shop.

Yeah, it looks like we're one week off from the 24th! It's not too bad, though. I've had this theory mapped out for over 2 months, and it hit very close!
I definitely think they're behind. Mulan probably won't drop until early summer. I believe the multiplayer bugs they encountered in december set production back by 7 to 14 days.

Not quite... but good try! These aren't rumors. These are my theories. Theories I am often and always asked to share on UA-cam. The title and thumbnail LITERALLY have a question mark in them. The title and thumbnail prompt the viewer with a question. The video itself provides data in an attempt to answer that question by utilizing the information we have on hand. You saying that these are rumors just shows you didn't even watch the video. 😂
