The last star path was worst the the previous ones. Super grind-y tasks. The fact that it was overlapped with cupcake baking grinding just made it feel like homework rather than fun. I was all for more star paths, but not if they are gonna be this annoying
Hopefully they've learned from the previous update that players didn't like the direction they were taking Star Paths. I agree that it was the worst one but mostly due to the items. I wasn't very fond of the rewards. If we have to grind that much we deserve better.

I felt the same way, since I play on switch it was glitchy. Pushing dreamsnaps as tasks when everything was invisible was terrible and all the cooking, fishing for crab which hardly shows up all this made me hate it. The rewards, the wrist bands being separate instead of just one reward was disappointing.
@@steviemcleish3038 the freaking crabs took me a week to find! I kept getting tilapias in the blue circles
I absolutely hate the multiple catch tasks.. so difficult when you never know what will come up from a catch.
I know everyone keeps saying the lucky cricket in Mulan. But really the first one makes me think Pinocchio and jimney cricket
I think it's simple, we are getting:
1. A shirt with cricket on it from Mulan.
2. A hand held accessory of the fan
3. A new kite item (nothing to do with Mary Poppins as they would have referenced an umbrella too if it was her)
I feel like we will get variety of kites, so a Mulan, Chinese style, and hopefully Zazu would be cool.
Definitely nothing Japanese because that would be super disrespectful to Chinese culture and heritage. Don't get me wrong I love Japanese culture and decor but I know how the Chinese will feel if they sort of bunched it all together and mix it up =/
I have never bought any accessories because you can't do anything with them. If they gave them purpose, I might buy them.
Crik ee could be in his cage and we could wear it on our hip like the movie
Yeah, we talked about this in my livestream today. If we did get Crik ee in his cage I think it would likely be a wearable item rather than a critter companion but it's totally possible.
I definitely feel Ashley’s pain with the Star paths. They are exhausting. So much so, that I would rather pay for the star path items than to fish for another hecking lobster, or red gem, or serve eight villagers in the restaurant. ENOUGH! refresh the duties already.
I'm also with Ashley on this. And I'm not a new player, I've been here since month 2 of beta. However with a full time job and small kids I only get 20-40 min of play time every day or two. I still don't have Oswald because I paused all Quests to do the Star Path and Events. I don't have time for it all.
at the disney parks they have these little shoulder buddies, they come with a magnet leaf ur supposed to put ander ur shirt n they stick to it, i hope thats what theyre gonna do with the cricket bby heheheh, they have soooo many of these at disney
it would be cool especially cuz they've been making more theme park accessories like the popcorn buckets n bubble wands
My guess was they would add a pose for accessories like they have for say the companions. If they DO decide to add that feature, then having accessories in the star path makes more sense because they get people excited about the feature enough to start buying accessories again. (Or at all)
I think the duties and timing are just fine. Last time, it just wasn't worth it. The items we not good! I think the second emoji is just another accessory we can't use in snaps 😒
I think the kite emojis are more likely to be themed towards Mulan instead of Mary Poppins. In the “It’s a Small World” ride at Disneyland, Mulan is flying a Mushu box kite. I would love to see the same one in the game as a decoration

Hmm, I actually hope we get an interactable fireworks item in more colors! Because Mulan had fireworks at the end of her movie and it'd be amazing to see colorful fireworks in Dreamsnaps!
I would absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Eastern clothing like the "hon-fu" (I think that's how it's spelled). That and more armor pieces like what Mulan wears in the movie. ;)

Jade Mist is so right about the constant crashing. I was helping my daughter finish her star path and other in game quest since she can't read fully on her own yet. The worst crash I had it washed out 2 days' worth of progress for star path and character quests. She never got to finish the popcorn buckets either do to all the crashes.
I have a feeling the 👕🦗 is gonna be a cri-kee onesie/costume. They did just give us a kevin costume not long ago in the premium shop.
I've heard this idea a few times! It would be cool to see!
I finish the star path really quick and then sit twiddling my thumbs for ages until it clicks over, then wait however long till they release the next one.
6:26 I agree to an extent. As a returning player who quit early on, I didn’t have access to a lot of things.
I also started playing again towards the tail end of this star path, so it didn’t leave me a lot of time to complete it. Not blaming the game for that, but it was a contributing factor to the marring experience.
I appreciate that it helped progress my valley after being in stasis for so long, however, I wish the duties were designed differently. It got to a point where I was getting duties for characters I hadn’t unlocked yet. So I would have to rush to complete their quests to unlock them. Eventually, I ended up getting soft locked because I didn’t have enough time or dream light to unlock certain realms or complete the time gated duties.
I just wish there was a system in place to prevent you from getting duties for characters/locations you didn’t have.
I love the Star Paths, I don't even care what the theme is, I have multiple accounts and I am able to complete them all and yes, I work full time also. I am so pumped that there will be a new one with every one of the updates. Let's gooooo
for me personally I think the star paths are very chill and I complete them within a week. BUT I definitely agree that too many star paths (especially if they are tedious ones) would make me feel burnt out and just bored to do it all over again when a new updates arrives.. so I do agree to either make star paths less often, OR-better yet-make them even easier to complete.
Was the last star path too difficult? No.
Was the monsters inc one too difficult? Absolutely. I STRUGGLED to finish that one.
Time between star paths is fine when it’s like this last update. I finished Star path about 3 weeks in and have been able to decorate and quest since
I stopped doing dream snaps because of all the problems. I also am really hoping for Mushu, especially if Will Smith voices him again. Dishonor on your cow.

I don't think any of the original voice actors voice the in-game ones I don't believe usually games done have the same as movies.

@girloni4002 actually, several of the original VA are in the game. Not all of em, but a good chunk of them. You can check who voice the characters in the game on the DDLV wiki page. Gives you the characters ' va listing.
A agree with the star path comment. Between working and taking my kid to his stuff I end up spending all my free time trying to finish it. I usually never finish it
I agree about the Star Paths being too daunting. I think the reason it really feels that way is because we get a StarPath, Daisy, the new clothing challenges, the popcorn bucket thing, and new DLC content including Oswald all within a very short time frame. And there's still DreamSnaps and real life. It's just so much - and honestly, when we get a bunch of content dumped on the same day, every UA-cam creator I watch does things in a different order. I miss having a linear storyline when I could see 4-5 different perspectives on the same thing, and follow along. I just can't keep up anymore.
If I remember correctly, there were some decorative type of kites in the Mulan movie, particularly when Mulan saves the city... If my memory serves me well, it has been awhile since I've seen the film!
I think it's simple, we are getting:
1. A shirt with cricket on it from Mulan.
2. A hand held accessory of the fan
3. A new kite item like in the the China kite festival
I think the star paths are okay I get them done in a decent amount of time the only ones I don't like are the time locked ones or the catch specific fish but it wasn't overbearing to me. I typically do starpath first then move onto quest then go back to decorating
I'm in agreement that it's Pixar again, tying into Pixarfest at Disneyland right now.
First one is probably a cricket outfit like kevin's or a shirt with a live cricket on the shoulder like the fox in backpack
The second is probably a handfan as an accessory
And the third could be kites to place in our valley, like a dragon kite that just flies above the valley
Don't think they would promote 2 accessory like this

I agree about the star path. I had such a hard time getting the shiny gems, lobsters, and crab. They need to either let the items spawn more or have less of each requested.
I wonder if this will be a Disney Classics (which would make the Mary Poppins kites fit) + Mulan starpath? I definitely like the idea of posing with accessories, but my guess for the middle emojis is Mulan's matchmaker outfit dreamstyle.
I’ve heard the suggestion that the first one could be Cre-Kee literally sitting on our shirt. An option to have tiny companions…Cri-Kee, Pascal, Ray, Jaq, Gus, Flora, Fauna, Merriweather…riding our shoulder or buzzing about our head could be cool, but I don’t know how doable that would be.
Or maybe I just really want to see Pascal…
I’d really like to see classic Disney starpath. That being said, I’m thinking Jiminy Cricket shirt, kites for our characters to hold, and holding fan for hot (heat/summer) items. My guesses could be completely off but I’d love to see a starpath not related to the realms we unlock. They could add mulan and eastern inspired items to Scrooges sad and empty store instead!
I'm so excited for Chinese themed items. I'm really hoping for clothes to be added too and the hairstyles & makeup to match would be fantastic!
I think the Cri-kee hint could be a number of things, like a Cri-kee top, a motif or even a Cri-kee outfit (a bit like the Kevin outfit). The fan, I think will be a fan accessory & maybe even a new pose to go with it. Which would be amazing if we could use them in snaps. The kite hint, I think means chinese style kites, like the one Mushu & Cri-kee jumped on to in the scene at the palace, where Mulan is fighting Shan Yu. It could be kite decor, based on that scene at the palace. Though, a kite accessory could be alot of fun too.

Cri-Kee could end up being a held item, as he was carried in a cage when he first appeared in the movie
I havent gotten any hand accessories but if we could pose with them i would probably get them
The Disney Park star path was the first I participated in since I started playing this game in March. The tasks that I struggled with the most were character specific tasks because I had to quickly grind out unlocking realms and moving in the needed villagers (aka a lot of gold and stardust). I also dislike the tasks for catching specific fish, because it’s guaranteed to take multiple hours to multiple days to catch 10 of a specific fish. I had a task to catch crabs and probably took 4 or 5 days to finish it because they’re rare, but they’re not the rarest spawn in the frosted heights, making potions useless.
Ultimately I was going until the last 12 hours of the star path, and finished all but one task, and got all the rewards except the extra moonstones. That said, I am enjoying a bit of break from pure grinding and taking some time to do some more decorating and questing 😇
I looove cricky so I hope they find a way to incorporate it to the valley🥰🥰

I’m thinking the first emoji has to do with Jiminy cricket since he wears clothing especially since the new trash pins had him on them. The second emoji group would be mulan themed items such as the fans and maybe being able to pose with them. The last emoji I’m thinking Mary Poppins since they have a song about flying kites.
I hope the kites are the dragon kites etc from when the huns invade the imperial palace 😬

Since the beginning it took me 30 days to complete the starpath,while doing ither quests and daily life in-between. So now with 40 days it's cutting close lol. I would have over a month to two months to recharge from burn out and not be so involved. But 40 days seemed steep for the starpath. I hope that they don't keep shortening it.
If you really want to find a connection to Mary Poppins, the Banks family live on Cherrytree Lane. And there's cherryblossoms on the roadmap picture. And I think the tree they have i the Fa family garden is a cherry tree. Sooooo there's one more slim connection there :P If they want to do a (rather late) spring time starpath, that could be a way to put it together. But I agree that the three hints all most likely hint to Mulan things.

I would love to use all the accessories that we have bought in our dream snap. I bought the stuff to support the game but I haven’t really used any of the accessories. They gave us the bubbles on this update and we can’t used it to take photos. Maybe, if they can change the objects function, so we can use it in dream snap. But I know! It is not easy. Just fix our Nintendo switch please. We Will see! Thank you for always reaching to the you tube community. Is greatly appreciated! Love your videos. You explain everything very well.

I got kimono mixed up with the han-fu's apparently. XD I always thought of those clothing items as some sort of kimono.
In my opinion, they should switch the accessories to the opposite hand of our Avatars so we can take pictures with them.

At the end of Mulan (1998) they are celebrating and before Mulan saves China, I think it was maybe Lunar New Year?? And Mushu used a dragon kite to help take out Shan Yu ?? 🪁🐉🎆🎆

I did enjoy the star path, but the crab one was annoying because the game does not give crabs often. I did stop doing quests because of limited time play, but that does not bother me. I have not even opened Oswald yet, but I am content to know that he is there waiting for me when I have the time to get him.

Disney owns so much they shouldn't be recycling themes for the Star paths like parks. So annoying
I feel you! I know a ton of players just LOVE the parks themes and the rides but it's not my style! I like nature, architecture, cottage core, fantasy, and more! I don't really want to make a theme park. 🙃
I live in my theme parks in ddv. Can’t get to the real parks.
I feel like because I bought so many of the rides I had to make a park. I like how ot turned out but the valley will be the only place I put rides the other islands will be for other builds for sure
I wonder if the kites are just like summer season items in general like we go fly kites in the summer time as an activity? Am I reaching?
The Starpath emoji hints seem kind of weak to me so I’m hoping we get more teases that are more exciting. Starpath emoji clues are usually big ticket items and these just don’t feel like that right now. I’m still excited but I hope this Starpath has items I really want!

@Probably_Senpai this is true lol I suffer from FOMO so I will probably end up with several of them but I do need to start being a bit more selective 🤣🤣 if they are an absolute must have and I run out I will have to just buy some moonstones which isn't horrible because I've only had to buy them 2x since I got the game (end of first star path) and one of those times was very early on before the dreamsnaps. Just a few weeks ago for some reason it said I didn't submit my snap when I knew I did so that mixed with a quickly thrown together dreamsnap the week prior really hurt my moonstone wallet but if I really need the item and i can afford it I don't mind spending the money to get it ;)

...In the game it's LITERALLY called body style. Go to your menu and check. They are (say it with me) VIDEO GAME AVATARS. They are not "biological" humans. They are pixels on a screen. Out of all the topics in this video, THIS is what you were SO pressed about that you just HAD to comment. Imagine being this pressed about the wording used to describe the bodies of in-game avatars. 😅
People like this will find ANYTHING to try and argue about because it doesn't fit their "normal" narrative. @Probably_Senpai
