Any pilots in the same situation, against the worst P51 in the entire game, in a match of ground rb, while in the second best P47, on nearly equal energy, even with an energy disadvantage, with at least half a working brain would have won that. Just the fact that you wrote this comment I could already tell you're on those WT players that grinds for hours and doesn't unlock anything, and completely broke on SL.
Great Maneuvers! However, i still don't understand why that P51 turned folded like that into your gunsight. He lost his advantage. I love the P47, gives me confidence. Amazing video mate!
I don't understand why the p51 didn't stay with going vertical, he had all the energy. All he needed was like one more loop and he would've gotten you.
This guy (the uploader) overuse his flaps during the scissors merge while it's clear that the p-51 had alot of more energy so this p-47 would not be overshooting and it makes him bleed a lot of speed that result of not being able to even turn properly.. See the problem about using ur flaps is that it's gonna make your wing bigger to sort of lift up ur plane cuz flaps drag the airflow therefore you can turn tighter (so it makes ur lift/elevator higher). But that's happend if you actually got any airflow to work with. The problem here is if someone overuse his flaps, then bcuz of its drag, its gonna make your plane bleed lot of speed that makes there is no more sufficient airflow to lift up ur planes so now you can't even turn bcuz basically there is no more airflow (since you're going slow enough so the reduce airflow for ur plane to lift). That's why with a flaps down your plane can pitch easy and fast and the most importantly is to turn tighter. And to make even worse the p-51 pilot manage to throw off the game by giving this p-47 a lot of seperation to recover its energy. Honestly i get it since both are GroundRB player and not an AirRB player, but c'mon as a lvl 12 of pure playing AirRB, this is just confusing. 🤣😆😆
everyone really underestimates the p47's prop, it has the same engine and blades of the f4u-4b which EXCEL at slow speed while the p51s lose a lot of thrust the slower they go, because they were made to stay fast and oppose as little drag as possible while the p47 was made to cut through thin air at very high altitude. Aircraft that excel at high altitude are great at slow speed dogfights because of the nature of the prop, this is why p47s get so slow at sea level if you don't lower the pitch to 85 percent past 500 ias, because it's draggy down low at 100 pitch.
@@everythingeff6623 hey! It's indeed impressive how the p47 can actually dogfight stuff at slow speed. You can win most average players on stuff as agile as a typhoon lol.
While the p51 has every advantage, it's tissue paper. The p47, having historically survived hits from 20 and 30mm cannons, had the advantage of being a tank. It's entirely possible the 51 would put dozens of shots into it, and not manage a fatal hit. While warthunder planes aren't exactly accurate, many of the early war planes would starve the engine when inverted, a p51 vs a p47 would come down to who makes the first mistake. In a dogfight with no friendlies, because let's be honest, everyone in warthunder greeds for kills instead of being a wingman, it comes down to the pilot. Most rookies in any combat flight simulator make the mistake of switching from defensive to offensive. In reality, if a guy is on your back, you're dead. If it's scissoring, the person most patient will almost always come out on top, unless, ofcourse, one aircraft is vastly superior.
‘P51 sir, it’s a tank buster’… -saving private ryan No it’s not, the 47 was the tank buster, one hit to the p51s radiator was enough to turn them back while the 47 could take MULTIPLE hits and keep on chuggin.

@@leeham6230 Strange. Once in a blue moon I'd get a kill with the rockets (before over pressure), but I always found the British rockets did a lot better
Mustang had better speed, quicker acceleration, slightly higher Mach limit, much better climb, much better climb recovery, better turn rate and maneuvering over the P47. The P47s best defense was to get maximum separation and the hell out when it could. In process regain as much altitude as possible. It would need a lot of stored potential energy and in a perch position to catch an unaware Mustang pilot. If the P47 missed the attack on the P51. Better climb and go home as you now have a pissed of Mustang pilot.
Agree….Pilot with better EM and SA will win. 80% of all shoot downs were against non maneuvering targets. Did not make any difference if you had a better or older fighter. Finns were shooting down much better La5 and Yak 3 and 9s because they owned the perch. This dog fight was between a war truck and sports car.
P47 is such a nice plane, honestly anything against a p51 is free kill, just energy fight, the d10 or d20 just have 0 engine power, in warthunder that is
I see what you mean. I thought of that name because the dog fight started with attacking me first, and he had much better energy. Plus, the second guy joins in near the end.

Top props for neutralizing the fight with the second guy after losing a cylinder or two. The jug has it's charms.
Thanks. I think I could've had him too, if the match lasted a minute longer
Most pilots would probably not have pulled that off, certainly not me. Good job and good kill.
Thanks, much appreciated!
You must really suck at WT if that's what you think. That was a 3.0 P51 against a D28 in ground rb lmao.
it’s not always the BR that says if a plane is better or not
True I use a 3.0 to fight 5.0’s sometimes and still win dogfights
@@lukefrombk that p51 had no clue what he was doing. He gave up his energy advantage cause of how greedy for a kill he was.

That's why they called it the "Jug".
Both could rank bust. They were both versatile vehicles. That made both of them vital on many occasions to the success of allied air forces.
Should use your takeoff flaps and landing flaps also. Its good for a quick burst of turnrate. But will destroy your energy.
