These are very good thanks. I had heard this was very similar to Avalon Hill's old "Ambush". It is not. Same scale perhaps, but entirely different and vastly better system. Thanks again for the videos.

Thanks for this, it really helps! @6:28 I think Pvt Johnson is considered a BAR gunner not a standard riflemen?

I must’ve ordered my copy after they fixed the counter issue; mine have the correct backs and there was a photocopied errata sheet inserted

I'm sorry, I've been looking at a lot of games in the last few days and now I see there's almost 8 pages of errata and yes, that's a lot. However, I'm personally willing to work with it, because I loved playing Ambush and this game is very similar. Thanks, Ken

Someone mentioned all the errata and I was thinking there was where less errata for a game that does as much as this one. There's a "Pirate something ..." put out by Z-man. It has about 50 pages of rules and about 60 pages of errata. I even sent them an email about, told I'd think long and hard before another Z-man purchase. I only aware of 1 page of errata for this game. I'm not pleased at all about the markers, but over all I would guess that compared to the size of the rules, the errata is well below average. Please, someone else correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks, Ken

There’s no campaign, but there’s going to be an expansion that will add one.

Can you still play the game with all the misprinted counters, without making stickers?

I find the map to normal, as it has to represent all kinds of terrain as well as different levels of height. For the 2 that didn't like map, is there a game or a suggestion on how you'd like it done? I personally would like to know a better way, thanks.

Could easily use boards as you'd find in Squad Leader or ASL and combined them when needed. So much easier to play than what you find in Combat.

When you did LOS, you were using the actual terrain in the hex instead of the entire hex. You did a spotting check down a hex spine that was between a hedgerow and a building, both of these hexes are blocking terrain. Is the entire hex blocking terrain or just the actual terrain symbol?

Maybe im missing something .. . But isnt the whole point of placing the enemies on the board suppose to be unknown to player???????so if putting the enemies into a cup and shaking them up ,what good is that doing if i pick one out of the cup and i see the dummy and where its placed!! would'nt every enemy being placed down and shuffled be better so we wouldnt know where they were on the map?

Two years later ... but why are you looking at the counters when you pull them out of the cup? It is easy to tell by feel which is the unknown side and which is the soldier side. So, yes, you are missing something.

@@Exit82guy I'm trying to learn the game and I don't understand what you tried to say. It is very easy to reach into a cup, feel which side of the counter is the unknown side, and place it face down. So, either you are missing something, I am missing what you are trying to say, or your counters are not distinguishable by touch like mine are. No big deal man.

I was very interested in this system, but that hideous map is a major turn-off.

@@paulstuhlfaut2976 I am actually very okay with the map; but I come from the old-school of SPI/Avalon Hill so there you go.

The elevations look as if someone blew their nose or hocked up mucus onto the map. In Compass' defense, they released a redo of those first volume maps (Volume 2 maps are an improvement), but you had to buy the set. Not given away to owners of the game free of charge.

A 1970s map... :D And too many errata, what a pity!
