OK..after extensive research, the line of sight determinations are affected by a few things. First, the terrain in the spotting and spotted (potentially) hexes are not used to determine LOS, except for the DRM modifier. Second, and critically, the line is drawn from dot to dot, and the GRAPHICS in the intervening hexes may, or may not block the LOS. In the case above, LOS is BLOCKED from 30.12 to 27.15, by the corner of the house.
Definitely need to find a better way to figure line of sight. The German in the hedge that you allowed an LOS attempt to Pvt Johnson, you DIDN'T allow Johnson to sight that same German. You also allowed that same German to attempt LOS to Goldstein, which was clearly blocked by the house.
Only if the German spot was successful- since it wasn’t a success for the German spotting roll. Checking if it was a dummy (before making the spotting roll) gives the player free information.
Good videos, Tony ... thanks. Anyone still monitoring here? Isn't there supposed to be a -2 WS modifier for the Run and Gun order? Unless I am missing something, that roll of 3 (46:42) resulting in a KIA should have been a miss due to the -2 Run and Gun penalty. Is this right? EDIT: Sorry Tony, I see you corrected this at the beginning of your next recording. Good to know, however, that I had this right.
AT 49:26 when the run and gun enemy was moved into the rocks, shouldn't that soldier have been able to spot the two Americans ; one in the woods and one in the road?
Great videos, they have been very helpful. You you do a great job with all of these Combat! videos, thank you!
I really appreciate the huge effort you put into these videos, Tony. They are extremely helpful in learning the game!
Great videos. Thanks for taking the time to put them together. Very helpful.
At 26:23 the hex spines themselves allow a spotting check.
Thanks for these - good insight into the game.

A piece of string would help out a lot.
@@ejl1221 - a rubber band works even better. Cut it, and it will stretch clear across the board, and it doesn't take up much space.
There are miniature rules that are a lot simpler, faster, and more fun.
14:20 you had to check if it was a dummy marker. the same error on the first video ;)

@@itdepends4236 it's true

These are verywhy wouldnt you do spot check first then choose which guy to sheet at about minute 45.
56:00 morale modifiers do not count for incap or kia, only wounds
Your time stamp reference doesn't make sense with what you are saying.
@@alcann4234 I honestly don't remember

How are the cards picked? Are they shuffled and picked randomly or do you choose which ones you want?
So in this game a “0” on a d10 is a zero and not a ten? Just curious as I don’t own this game, at least yet.
yup
The red team should have activated first in the melee. After their attack then Private Stubbs would go.
Ross...Red **did** activate first. About 49:45 in, Red Team went through their Impulse, but the Melee attack was a miss.
@@tonyholt5597 You are correct - I don't know how I missed that the first time through.
wow germans dice rolls are horrible.
