    Both states rock. Live in Vermont, but spend a lot of time in New Hampshire. Can't go wrong either way.

      I'm deciding between NH and Vermont. I like Vermont but it seems a bit too rural and isolated for me.

    • @josephschaffer2716
      @josephschaffer2716 2 роки тому +1

      @@jeffreyexposito3803 parts of both states are very rural. Chittenden County in Vermont feels like suburbs for a big city, but there isn't a big city. SE NH is basically a suburb of Boston if that's your thing. I suggest visiting both before moving. Even if you don't move visit both. It would be a great trip.

    Lived in New Hampshire with someone who I am separated from. Moved back to California a few months back. Now regret making that dumb decision 🙄

      You can always move back, on a positive note New Hampshire will seem extremely affordable compared to California.

    I love your videos. I need to move to Manchester shortly. Do you recommend city living or is there a more rural area close? I like country living.

    my intuition told me 20 yrs ago to find a place more northern as I lived in Wash/VA corridor. I'm retired now and call Vermont home. I'm glad I listened to my intuition and no lol I did not bring any politics with me. I'm lucky to live here👍

    What is the rental market like in NH? Haven't seen much availability, does it pick up closer to the summer for the Seacoast region?

    • @LivinginNewHampshire
      @LivinginNewHampshire  3 роки тому +2

      In terms of multi-families, the inventory is more prominent in northern NH and the college towns such as Keene, Plymouth, etc. You can also find mulits in the larger cities like Manchester or Nashua but they'll be much older and typically in a less desirable area. As for short term rentals, areas in the lakes region such as Gilford and Laconia are good spots. Close proximity to Lake Winnipesaukee in the summer and fairly close to the ski resorts in the winner. Lincoln and North Conway would be great spots as well during all four seasons. Covid has effected the short term rental market, but the time of the year does play a role. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

    how would you advise an 18 year old to moving to America from the uk. I love the look of new Hampshire and i have read up on many pros but I'm not totally sure how i can get from the uk to new Hampshire at only 18. I know its gonna be a little pricy getting some type of visa, but are there job opportunities for 18 year olds or would you recommend i start work in the uk for a couple years before I try and make the move to the us? any response will be apricated

    • @LivinginNewHampshire
      @LivinginNewHampshire  3 роки тому +9

      It's great that you have a goal to strive for, but I wouldn't rush it. You're still young, over the next few years your vision may change. That being said I highly recommend getting yourself in a strong financial position. That way you're able to comfortably make the move while having money to fall back on. As you know the US is expensive so it's important to have some amount of savings to cover housing, food, transportation etc. That'll give you time to get established and line up employment opportunities. In summary, I encourage you to continue working and saving money for the next few years, then at that point you'll be in a position to make the best decision for you. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

      I have the exact opposite dream,
      I live in Vermont and dream of moving to the UK, I just want it so very bad as an artist I want to paint Murals there of Floral. Work can be hard to find that is close to where you live, but...if you have a skill or are certified (like truck driver, pool tech, etc.) you can find work easier. I can sometimes feel very isolating in the winter...or just before winter, as you have to always prepare for the cold months. Vermont & NH are so beautiful, but to enjoy it...you have to be financially set. (I moved here from Hawaii...and regret it daily) *I wanted to give my honest opinion, Oh...and meeting people here is way hard as an outsider (vermonters call us flatlanders). In the 6 years I have made only 3 solid friends...and I am really a nice person. I am happy I have my cat and art & 3 friends.
      Good luck to you and your path!! My respect and best to you~

      Don't move here. America is a falling empire. Try obtaining a working visa in New Zeeland instead 👍🏾

    Hello, I love reviewing your videos. I will need to move Manchester shortly. Do you recommend living in city or is there rural life close to Manchester? I like the country.

    • @LivinginNewHampshire
      @LivinginNewHampshire  2 роки тому

      Thank you. If you want land and privacy, while being relatively close to Manchester. Then I recommend towns such as New Boston, Goffstown, Weare, Hooksett, Bow, Auburn or Deerfield. However, it really depends on your budget and the type of property you're looking for.

    I'm watching this in 2022 and Vermont is building low cost housing for the homeless in Vermont and New Hampshire is going after the homeless I hope the sovereign citizens stay in New Hampshire because New Hampshire has the most sovereign citizens in America
