I’m trying to find this written in the constitution or wherever else it is. Help! Where can I find this info?
She is referring to the one-drop rule which was a social and legal principle of racial classification that was historically prominent in the United States in the 20th century. It asserted that any person with even one ancestor of black ancestry ("one drop" of black blood is considered black. The one drop-rule was adopted as law in some states - Tennessee, Virginia in the early 20th century.
Read her book. For the 100th time, her mom is white and her dad was Black. She mentions a Venezuelan great grandmother, but Venezuelan is not a race, but a nationality. She’s 1/2 Black and Half white.
I think that like her newest album from 2014, the "Memories of an Imperfect Angel" (from 2009 that she is promoting here with the "Prescious" film). The album was in general badly promoted and the singels that she or the record label chose as singels were not the always the right choice. Like the last single "H.A.T.E.U" was a good song, but not the song that should be a single. It´s a little to boring for my taste. I love when Mariah does a big ballad or a fun dance song, So i hope that she brings it back to her 90´s music with her new album. So that the fans and the newer generation can have some of that nostalgia back and with a good quality of songs to match. :)
