When I was 16, I won backstage passes to meet her. Of course, security went over some ground rules and asked us to only have her sign one item and not to ask for individual photos (we would get a group one). Once we walked in, Mariah was so genuinely sweet and considerate of all the lambs, and even tho I didn’t ask she signed multiple items for others and took additional photos. She took her time with each person... and this is after a 2 hour show. She is a class act, and also smells amazing LOL

I’m not a Mariah fan but she is probably one of the few celebrities on this show that make sure they know the callers name ..and actually address them by their name. I know it sounds like a small thing but it speaks volumes about what kind of person she is.
Watching this trying to really figure out how someone could say this woman is rude, mean, or disrespectful. She doesn't come for someone unless they do something first, and she has the utmost respect for legends, unlike these soon to be 'has-beens' of today disrespect her.

Surprise, it's the media that make fake stories who try to sensationalize and capitalize on every off-key little behavior of Mariah's, however subtle and nit-picky it is. And of course, like the sheeps they are, the dumb masses eat it up. She's opposite of what most people think of her, the people who know her always praise how nice and hardworking she is.

I've been a massive Mariah fan since her first album but I know that she can come off as really over-the-top and bitchy at times. I think this is the kind of interview that shows her a little more real. Yes, she was still a diva but she was also sweet, gracious to the callers and a little shy. This interview was very endearing - too bad not enough people see this side of her.

Glitter was suppose to release in the early 90's if not for the delays. Many of the songs that mariah's had written produced went to the rainbow album
Kinza Faiz Glitter remains one of my favorites by her. But I think between it being released on 9/11 , plus the negative publicity of the movie, it was doomed to fail.
It was not a very coherently themed album, and a few songs were kinda bland. Combine that not-so-tight production with the head of Sony Music purposefully trying to sabotage her and steal her ideas, along with the complete mess that was the Glitter movie, and the ill-timing of the release and marketing of the soundtrack, it's no surprise the album didn't do well. However, it was ahead of it's time in that it had 80s nostalgia, which didn't become marketable until the early 2010s.
Real fans of Mariah know how humble and sweet she is. She LOVES her fans.
Heart breaker was me and my moms absolute favorite when I was a child. The whole rainbow album was, actually. When I was a little girl I wanted so much to meet Mariah. I love this woman.

Some people in life are just not obsessed with details. So he may very well love the song "Heartbreaker" but very could forget what specific album it was on. In all honesty 1999 vs 2001 to him at this point probably brings back the same memories in his life. Ironically, Heartbreaker was going to be on Glitter had it been produced in 1999 like it was supposed to.

writing these words now, brings tears to my Eyes, so that's intense, hearing this song, every time it touches me so deep, that i really, at a certain part in that song, i freeze, and must do all my best, not to break, tears fall, but i have to prefend myself from breaking down.
Every time, at that same spot, it comes to me, over and over again.
When i start to think right now , unbelievable, but those tears seems to appear out of no where.

I love Mariah! I won't forget when my sister and I who are huge Mariah Fans since Day 1 sang the duet, "When You Believe" at the opening of P. Diddy's restaurant in NYC. It was a moment I'll never forget! We drove all the way from Maryland and even our friends traveled to hear us sing!
