I don't know why people are making a big deal out of her race. Her mother is white and her late father is black. She just said it. If she wants to identify as black, that's her choice. If you look up her sister Allison, you can see that she looks more black than Mariah but they have the same parents. When it comes to mixed race people, you can't always go by color. Some offspring will be an even blend and some may take more traits from one parent. When I look at younger pictures of her father, she looks more like him than she does her mother.
