Spaniards mostly settling in Mexico. There's very little African in any native Europeans. Europe has been extremely homogeneous and overwhelmingly white. I don't know what Ashkenazi Jews are, they're partly an ethnic group who have crossed over into a racial group for political reasons, I think they're a mix of European and Arab Jews.

I think people are missing the point of race and ethnicity. People are often lumped together more often by the culture they come from and not their actual race. Ethnically middle eastern people vary in the amount of Semitic and European bloodlines with gulf Arabs having a larger percentage of Semitic blood than Lebanese or Syrians. The same holds true for many North Africans who are a mix of European, Semitic, and Berber. Due to religion, langauge, and cultural similarities, they are all known by the world as Arabs. I was curious enough about Mariah to start a family tree project on her and I’d found pretty much everything she said, with the apparent added nationality of Cuban alongside the Venezuelan. On Mariah’s mom’s side, she has Irish full-blooded Irish ancestry with her great-great grandparents being direct Irish immigrants. On her dad’s side, her grandma Addie and family were from Alabama and of course come from a line of enslaved African Americans. Her grandfather, Robert Carey (originally Roberto Nuñez) was from the Bronx, while his father was a Cuban immigrant and his mother a Venezuelan immigrant. I didn’t find too much info on these guys but it does seem to line up pretty well

Im 97% european(mostly italian 37%, and polish 23%,scandinavian 18% and then alittle from france,germany, iberian peninsula and england. Then like 1% irish). Then im 2% western asian, and 1% native american. I took the ancestry dna test earlier this year. The only thing that supprised me was the western asian. Didnt expect it, I just knew I was european and mabe alittle native american. And out of the european I should have only been 25% italian, I have documents from my great grandpa& grandma from italy, and documents from my great grandpa and grandma from poland. That was all I could 100% confirm I was until I took the dna test.
Venezuelan isn't an ethnicity, its a nationality. So Mariah's great grandmother's ethnicity is still in question. There are black Venezuelans, white Venezuelans, etc. You are not latino simply because you speak Spanish or come from a Spanish speaking country.

I think people are missing the point of race and ethnicity. People are often lumped together more often by the culture they come from and not their actual race. Ethnically middle eastern people vary in the amount of Semitic and European bloodlines with gulf Arabs having a larger percentage of Semitic blood than Lebanese or Syrians. The same holds true for many North Africans who are a mix of European, Semitic, and Berber. Due to religion, langauge, and cultural similarities, they are all known by the world as Arabs. People in South, Central, and Spanish colonized countries share much in common with each other, hence creating a culture known as Hispanic.

I was told by Ms.Cintron, in 1st grade history class back in my elementary school in Puerto Rico. But no one should expect every person in the world to know that, just like anyone else can expect we all "Hispanics" know the history of other places by the word, so don't do the same mistake of shaming others for not knowing, is ok to not know everything. If there is a world government, then it could be possible under one language, to have everyone know the same thing but we are 500-2000 years from that in my professional political prediction. The One Drop Rule was found unconstiutional in 1967. I really wish Mariah knew that. The more it is upheld in our beliefs the harder it is to overcome. This was in 2009, but today she is still under this belief. She was born in 1970. I was born in the 60s. I lived similiar experiences. I know how she feels but I really wish she would find the healing within herself and find a way to be more than part of her DNA. Mixed. It has to start somewhere. Embrace it. Make it positive. Native American does not equal South American. Each country has a different story in terms of Spanish/Portuguese colonization. Shit, France was in Mexico for a while, The French and the Dutch were in Guiana. Belize was colonized by the british. Each country has a different story with African slaves.

The US Census is so convoluted. Identifying your racial identity is so subjective. Who is white? Who is native/Asian? Who is black? The whitest looking person you know can be 20 percent black. So is race determined by how you look or what's in your DNA?
I was curious enough about Mariah to start a family tree project on her and I’d found pretty much everything she said, with the apparent added nationality of Cuban alongside the Venezuelan. On Mariah’s mom’s side, she has Irish full-blooded Irish ancestry with her great-great grandparents being direct Irish immigrants. On her dad’s side, her grandma Addie and family were from Alabama and of course come from a line of enslaved African Americans. Her grandfather, Robert Carey (originally Roberto Nuñez) was from the Bronx, while his father was a Cuban immigrant and his mother a Venezuelan immigrant. I didn’t find too much info on these guys but it does seem to line up pretty well

Most of the West Coast "Mestizo" Mexicans like George Lopez are majority European....It's not by a huge margin, but most are about 50-70% European and then like 30-50% Native Amerindian (and they are ZERO percent Native American...since the Native Indian groups the Mexicans are mixed with are from Mexico, not America)
The fully indigenous Mexicans you can tell just from looking at them.....They tend to be from Southern/Eastern Mexico and the ones in the US live on the East Coast (NY, NJ, Virginia, Florida etc)....The Mestizo mixed Mexicans on the other hand generally come from Northern and Western Mexico and generally live in the West Coast states like California, Texas, Arizona etc....George Lopez is from California so he's a typical Mestizo Mexican....

Im 97% european(mostly italian 37%, and polish 23%,scandinavian 18% and then alittle from france,germany, iberian peninsula and england. Then like 1% irish). Then im 2% western asian, and 1% native american. I took the ancestry dna test earlier this year. The only thing that supprised me was the western asian. Didnt expect it, I just knew I was european and mabe alittle native american. And out of the european I should have only been 25% italian, I have documents from my great grandpa& grandma from italy, and documents from my great grandpa and grandma from poland. That was all I could 100% confirm I was until I took the dna test.
Venezuelan isn't an ethnicity, its a nationality. So Mariah's great grandmother's ethnicity is still in question. There are black Venezuelans, white Venezuelans, etc. You are not latino simply because you speak Spanish or come from a Spanish speaking country.
